It's not a good gift since it's too.. practical? But I sometimes I buy Shell gift cards for my own use. I can get reward points, and I don't have to use my credit card at pump because it's risky. I wish BestBuy had more of these products.

I think that a gas card is a nice gift to give. Most people have cars and need gas. I prefer Shell myself as I get points from Giant from buying groceries that I can use as a discount at Shell as well as their discount.

I have convenient access to Shell gas stations near my home. I buy Shell gas cards whenever Best Buy offers rebate kind of deal. In this case, I got $25 credit from my AmEx credit card.
