Great games! I loved these games when they came out. Makes me wish the Dreamcast had a longer lifespan. They do feel a bit aged being they are about twenty years old but still they have great stories and are fun to play.

Shenmue and Shenmue II are two of the greatest games of all time. Playing through the Shenmue series was and still is an absolutely incredible experience. Almost 20 years later, there is still nothing else quite like it. Therefore, it truly pains me to have to give this collection anything less than five stars. Unfortunately, this collection contains extremely shoddy and subpar ports of these two seminal classics. They are riddled with bugs and have extremely poor audio playback, with inconsistent volume levels, speech samples that are even lower quality than they were on the Dreamcast, randomly missing sound effects, and inaccurate music. The fantastic music in the Shenmue series is an integral part of the experience and it is a crime that Sega managed to mess it up so badly in this HD collection. Ultimately, I would still recommend this if it is your only way to play these games. However, I would highly advise playing the original Dreamcast/Xbox versions if at all possible. While Sega is actively patching this game, there is so much wrong with it that I doubt it will ever be on par with the original games that it is attempting to recreate. After waiting so many years for these two masterpieces to be released on modern platforms, it is a true shame that Sega was unwilling to give them the care that they deserve and do proper justice to Yu Suzuki's original work.

This is 2 great games for a very modest price. Part 1 hasn't aged particularly well but it is still fun if you have the patience. 2 is a major improvement and us still fantastic today. I can't wait for part 3!

Great games that finally got re-released on current hardware. They may be slow to develop the story in game but I think wondering around the city is a lot of fun. Get it and get ready for Shenmue 3 coming someday.

Old school Kung Fu and fun! The graphics, even updated are now a bit dated but the fun gameplay makes up for that. I've been a fan of every game in this series so far!

great game, great price and package deal. you get 1 and 2 together. however, for such a beloved series i wish they included a limited edition steelbook or something. better yet, do a remake for the series like they did for Yakuza Kiwami.

Originally released on the Dreamcast (RIP), Shenmue was a game way ahead of its time. It paved the way for future open world games and still is a great game to play despite some poor pacing.

The grandfather of open world games. May seem slightly dated to some, but the storytelling and charm still come thru. Play these before you get to the third game that will come out next year.

The games have been ported over to PS4 with better resolutions and textures but is still the classic game, mini games and gameplay from the original game.

I was excited to know they would bring these games to the ps4 since I have always wanted to re play this game since the ps1 days. Now I can't wait to dive right into it.

Finally I get to relive one of the best games I have ever played.Great story, combat you can’t go wrong with this game.My only complaint is the audio but even then this gets a 5/5 from me

Solid ports for the PS4 (currently playing on the PS4 Pro). Much better value than Shenmue 3. Recommend if you can find a copy on sale.

This is what I had been waiting for, a remastered of Shenmue. I Always regretted not having had the opportunity to play the second part of this saga and being able to do it on my PS4 now was a big deal for me. I think, all things considered, the game holds up well enough to this day. The story is great and the world in it has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment. I know that compared to the games we have access to today it may seem a lesser game, but if you take into account that this was one the first sandbox games that offer you extra activities from the main story and that it was made almost 2 decades ago, it is an outstanding game.

Finally got the game I wanted it has been sold out for the longest time. Great story line pliability is fantastic

This is a pretty decent remaster. Pretty bare bones, not a whole lot was changed from the original games, but improvement in controls and higher resolution make the games more playable than the originals.

Game plays as it used to. Still amazing to play and the story is great. Unfortunately the bugs are still there from the original and the visuals were not properly remastered. Great value for both games though.

I played the first game when I was I kid and really enjoyed it. This version though is way more stunning and you get part 2 as well!

if you never played this game on Playstation do yourself a favor and play it on ps4, reat story great remake of a game, now im ready for the third part.

I'm impressed with how much they've improved these titles. I was a huge fan of the first game, but never got to play the sequel. So far I'm quite happy with this.

the games are an good remake HD version. if you haven't played these games, this is a great collection. Still has an old school feel gameplay.
