Long loading screens, bad ost compression and glitches plauge this release. Washed out shadows, and you have to pay for the dlc. Some animations drop the framerate to single digits. The PS4 release isn't much better but it does have better loading screens and better framerate. The story is one of the best in the SMT franchise, if you haven't played the game, then even with the issues I listed above, you should play this game, SMT is a turn based demon collecting game that is hard as nails. It breaks conventional tropes in the sense that you are always sacrificing your demons for stronger demons instead of collecting a team early on and training them through the rest of the game. Give this game a chance even if you get the PC version with mod support.

Major update to a classic game. The graphics has made this game come back to life in a great way. It’s a must buy!!

An instant classic remade for the switch! An amazing series that shows its true colors in the return of this masterpiece. I highly recommend it!

Excellent Remaster and preparing fans for Shin Megami Tensei 5. If you like classic JRPG with a good story and challenge, this is the game for you!

The game came on time and was the perfect birthday gift. The only downside , the compressed music from the ps2 version, is on the remaster version.

Solid updated release to original, just be ready for a crazy ride. Nice to have on the go as well, makes for some interesting mobile gameplay.

Having never played the game when it came out on the PS2, I'm really loving it. The pacing is really well done; you have a lot of battles mixed together with the cinematics and story. There is a fair amount of dark humor involved. If you like turn-based JRPG combat combined with a Pokemon-esque mechanic of capturing demons to use in battle, you will enjoy this game.

Ive never played a Shin Megami game before but ive been enjoying this remaster so far. The story and mechanics can be a little obtuse but learning a game is half the fun of it. The graphics have been upresed but thats about it.

Very solid handheld HD port of the PS2 classic. i have the ps4 version as well and this is identical, just portable.

It’s honestly great one of the greatest games I’ve ever got and now have a chance to play ever since it was stuck on ps2.

Loved this game. I’m a huge persona fan with 3 being my favorite. Definitely recommend people try this game.

Amazing art design in a fun traditional RPG. If you like the persona games this might be the game for you.

Great switch port. Music is compressed and doesn’t sound the best but the dlc easy mode is a big bonus.

Such a good port from PS2 to switch. Great quality. Screw the hater taters. It's a gripping and interesting plot. SAVE YOUR GAME TONS!! Don't forget to save any chance you get. This is a remaster, not a remake so it's definitely the same style as classic games in terms of mechanics. With that being said, if you love anime, angels, and demons, classic game style with HD graphics; then you'd love this game!

Awesome game and great remaster from an epic ps2 game. Persona 5 fans will love it.

An excellent Hd remaster of a great Shin Megami Tensei game. If you played Persona 4 and/or 5 then you should recognize all of the demons that you can recruit to your team.

Some bugs but good overall. Highly recommended for fans of the genre
