Customers are saying

Customers highly value the sound quality, comfort, and long battery life of the OpenComm UC Wireless Bone Conduction Stereo Bluetooth Headset. Many appreciate its lightweight design and ease of use with PCs and phones. However, some users found the fit to be less than ideal and experienced occasional connectivity issues, particularly with the USB dongle. A few also noted the absence of a physical mute button as a drawback.

First time using bone induction. It sounds amazing, works well with windows as a calling headset. Battery life will last me a day and a half. Charging is very fast, connectivity is straight forward and simple. Range is not so great but thats a compromise. I use Genesys Cloud Workspace, it performs poor on there due to no fault of the product. It takes getting used to, when the sound travels it gives this unnerving tickle that will go away when you use it often.

I love these headphones. I use them every day. Although the sound is not as good as with earbuds, the shocks make it up by not reduce your needing to stick something in your ear and greatly reducing your ambiance hearing. I find them very comfortable. The microphone works very well too and allows me to talk while working. Battery life is good enough for a full days work.

Excellent battery life, easily lasts 8-10hrs+ for a full shift of usage. Extremely comfortable and even after a full day it's the most comfortable headset option for working from home I've used. The microphone quality is great, and coworkers have mentioned a noticeably higher voice quality compared to my previous headset. Only downside imo is the lack of a physical Mute option, a button or flipping the mic sensor would be a huge improvement. However, the noise canceling is impressive and allows basic tasks such as pouring water go unheard. Definitely a headset made for voice communication and not music/etc - but that's what I bought it for so no complaints there. Pairing is actually much easier than the manual implies, plugging the USB adapter in, it automatically pairs on power on everytime with no manual effort required. I hate in-ear buds, and wearing over-the-ear headphones for 8+ hours a day had become inconvenient... these solved every issue! Highly recommend this for any heavy user of voice chat!

Purchased for work related zoom meetings. Works great, one of the better headset's I've used at blocking out background noise, fairly comfortable not "the best" but I can manage wearing it most of the day without issues. The headset will connect to multiple devices but the "handoff" at least on my Apple products doesn't work so great, the phone will transfer to and function perfectly but switching back to my MacBook workstation sometimes fails. If I disconnect from the phone and connect only to the workstation, it works flawlessly. The 1 major con I have is battery life, granted this headset is tiny, not much room for a large battery it will last a full day but if I forget to plug it in after using it, the next morning it's dead.

Feels similar to the other products made by Shokz. Some frequencies "feel" a lot louder than others, but overall, they are good to wear for hours on end without becoming too uncomfortable. Product has features I was unaware of that are actually quite useful/convenient. I use this product with Teams and it announces whether your mic is muted or not, and also announces when you toggle your mute function. The USB dongle also includes a LED light that corresponds to your mute status. Blue = Not in call Green = Unmuted Red = Muted There is no light on the microphone to indicate this, but the USB light is useful in its own right.

Best UC headphones on the market. I’ve purchased multiple high quality headsets and the Shokz is by far the best based on sound, connectivity, noise suppression, battery-life, and performance.

So far, I’m loving it. Battery - Used it continuously for a month and have no regrets. The battery life is superb both while in standby, on calls and using various modes of media. Calls - premium audio with little to no background noise on my end. Perfect for a coffee shop setting. Media - as expected, is mediocre for the quality of sound, but that makes sense since the speaker is enclosed and meant to pass sound through your bones in your face. I dig it!

The Good: It is so comfortable I often forget I am wearing it and leave the office with it still on! Thankfully, I work from home so it's a short trip back to put it on the charger for the next day. Speaking of charging, battery life is great. On the rare occasion I've forgotten to put it on the charger overnight, the battery still lasted the entire next workday. The Bad: Although you can connect it to two Bluetooth devices at the same time, it often gets takes over playing media sound from the wrong device. For instance, I have my cell phone playing music through its own speaker and then when I hang up a call on my computer webphone, the cell phone media automatically switches to the Shokz. Annoying! The Worse: It has a hard time keeping its connection to my PC and it rarely ever automatically reconnects to it. So, if I walk out of my home office, it drops the connection and when I return, I have to turn the headset off and then back on - and sometimes even remove and reinsert the USB dongle - to reconnect. 've noticed as it gets older, I don't even have to leave the room for the connection to my PC to be dropped. Sitting back in my chair will do it now. TL;DR - Love the bone conduction technology, love the comfort. Works great with cell phone but not really good with PC connection.

Quality of sound when connected to the USB connecter is excellent. I take calls every day through Cisco Jabber and use MS Teams as well and it works flawlessly. I have the OPENRUN PRO as well and knocked off 1 star because that headset is more comfortable over the ears than this one. The long battery life for a workday and easy and fast charging also make this an excellent product

Bought this Shokz wireless headset to replace an existing Bluetooth headset. Awesome transition as I can connect to 2 devices with this headset. Easy transition from device to device. Clear reception, no background noise; the people at the other end also do not hear any background noise while this headset is in use. Connects to Laptop and phone seamlessly .

I needed a wireless headset with microphone for work and I'm so glad I came across these Shokz - OpenComm Bluetooth Headset. The only thing I wish was easier to do was mute yourself. You have to press two buttons at the same time to do so, but it's alright. Still very content with my purchase. Amazing sound quality and feel!

About 2 months ago, I suffered sudden hearing loss in my right ear. While nothing can restore the hearing, my shokz are a game changer, allowing me to not get frustrated on long calls. In ear or over ear headphones didnt work well for me as I had an echo effect when talking. I don’t notice my Shokz are on and the sound is fantastic. Amazing technology!

Shokz (comm vs openrun vs openmove)

Shokz are great. These are not! I bought them for a summer group project. After about 10 minutes of use, I was asked to return them. People on the other end of the microphone had issue with quality. If you have really long hair they will get a little tangled, if you have shoulder length hair, or just past the shoulders they will get extremely tangled (one of my sons had me cut his hair to remove them). I returned them immediately and bought both shokz open move (uses C-charger) and open run (uses hard to find/expensive charger) for only $10.00 more. The receiving end is exactly the same as open- comm without the added annoyance. Pros: -They are one piece -can be kept around your neck -comfortable for very long periods of time -no issues with different lengths of hair -my son can easily put them in his pocket if teachers want them put away -mitigate wax build up -can still hear your surroundings Cons: -does not have an internal locator/tracking (example:find my). This is probably my largest problem with these. -requires a special charger difficult and expensive -After the revamping, the quality has significantly decreased. The person on the receiving end of the call notices the most, but still the pros outweigh the cons. I bought these because other members in my extended family raved about them (17 people). Apparently, i was really behind the family trend. They all have Aftershokz (old design) in various models prior to the rebranding… I was allowed to borrow Aftershokz Aeropex for the afternoon. No issues with the output/input. No complaints on the receiving end either. I wish the new ones had the same quality with the microphone. FYI… I did not get the headphones to use for regular phone call use to begin with. I got them because of wax build up in ears, soreness, and to monitor my kids hearing a little better. I know that if i have to yell at them to hear me they have the sound up to high. So… the decision is yours, but this has been our experience. The kids like them better for over all use. Easy to use, small, gym, playing around/light running (i wont let them horse play/fight while wearing), mic records well enough and didn’t pick up background noise, can still hear when the teacher is talking, and is one solid piece. I work from home and have a VOIP system. I've tried Air Pods and Power Beats Pro but the Shokz Open Comm by far has been the best option for office use. I always received complaints that my customers couldn't hear me well, like I was in a cave. Clear transmission sound and comfortable when you wear them all day.
