It’s ok if you don’t wear glasses and don’t care about audio when it comes to media, like watching tv or movies on your phone. The audio when talking is good but everything else sucks.

Overall these are a great set of earbuds. I’ll admit, it’s been awhile since I’ve tried a set of ear loop earbuds and it took a me a few tries to get the on correct, but once on they are very comfortable. My ears must be between sizes for buds that seal in the ear as they either become uncomfortable after about 45-60 minutes or they don’t stay in during activities. Not a problem with these Shokz buds. The loops kept them in place even while jogging.
The case is a little larger than those for in-ear buds, but appears to be on par with others with ear loops. The still worked with the magnetic charging on my 3 in 1 dock.
Each ear has one button that control the functions, most of the functions are the same on each ear. One press stops/starts music, two presses skips to the next song three presses goes back a song. The only function that’s different is the volume, the default is hold the right button and volume goes up, hold the left and volume goes down. This is the only reason for the 4-Star rating. I often use only the right side at work and my wife suffers from single sided deafness. It would have been nice to have a dual button for volume on each side.
There are a few customizations for the buttons in the app, but basically the double click can be next song on both sides previous on left/next on the right, previous on both or nothing. Triple click can be previous on both next on both or none. Long press you can change which side is increase and which is decrease, voice assistant on both or none.
There is also an option to turn on a side press, which is a long press on the Shokz logo on either side to activate voice assistant.
The sound was very good, especially with the bass boost and Dolby Audio enabled, a definite improvement versus with them off. The volume has decent range and was good at lower levels, while at work, in the gym and while jogging, but only as long as there wasn’t a lot of traffic. Running on the sidewalk of a busy road the volume had to be way up to enjoy the sound, same when I tried them at the bowling alley.
Battery life appears to be solid. I used them for 5 hours at work, then a 5 minute drive home and back on for almost another 5 hours while working on a project with no problem.
Overall I’m impressed with the build quality and sound from the Shokz OpenFit 2+ buds and they will be my goto for work and the gym and anywhere else there isn’t an out of noise.
