Absolutely love these!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start by saying I have been a big fan of the Shokz brand for a while now. I have had a pair of the Open Run bone conduction headphones for many years now. There was only one very minor complaint I had about those, and I can say these have fixed that. Out of the box you can tell that these ear buds are well made. The case seems a little flimsy, and I’d be worried about dropping it on a hard surface from any kind of height, so definitely be careful with that. I only use mine for work. I have a job where I caption phone calls for the deaf so I spend most of my day listening to phone calls and then captioning those calls. So I need a headset that is not only comfortable, but also has good sound quality and battery life. I can say these earbuds are exactly what I have been looking for! I have a high back desk chair with a head rest and I always hated the open run ones with the band that goes around the back of your head because I could not comfortably lean back on my headrest. With these, there is no band on the back so I can easily lay my head back. These are also so comfortable that you literally will forget you have them on. I found absolutely no discomfort and they are so light and small you wont even notice them. I don’t use mine for exercising, but I tried a little jogging and jumping around they solidly stayed on my ear without any problems. Another thing I like is if you only want to use one, you can do that as well. These aren’t bone conduction like most of the Shokz line is, they actually have little speakers that fire directly into your ear. But they sit outside your ear so you can still clearly hear everything that is going on around you. I have to say, from using the Open Run one for years I didn’t have high hopes about the sound quality of these, but I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised with how good these sound. There is definitely a lot more low end than I was expecting. Granted, these do sit outside the ear so you don’t get that ear canal seal that you do with a typical earbud that can produce a lot of bass, but these actually sound very good for what they are! Music as well as phone calls will sound great through these ear buds. I didn’t see anything in the manual about the battery life, but I can tell you I was able to have them on and work a full 8 hour shift and the batteries didn’t die. The case also has a battery in it as well and will charge them if its not plugged into the wall giving you a little extra juice if you are away from a charger for a long time. The one thing I don’t like about these though is determining how much battery life you have left without using an app. On my Open Run ones when you turn them on there is a voice that says “battery level high” or “battery level medium”. It would be nice to add that feature to these maybe through a firmware update in the future, because a lot of people wont always be using these with their phone and the one light on the case makes it hard to determine how much battery life you actually have. Overall, I absolutely love these and will be using them every day for work. If you are looking for some open earbuds, absolutely check these out. I'm sure you will love them as much as I do!

earbuds died very quickly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds worked only for less than 3 months before 1 of 2 dies and there was nothing I could do about it. The app said "failed to connect" and a reconnect was not possible. NOT WORTH the $

Big upgrade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive used the older original openfits since they launched durable and sound good but had some cons. They werent loud enough, back part rubbed my ear making them uncomfortable over long usage and battery life was too short. These openfit 2's improve on everything. Fit is better they dont push on my ear as much as the older ones. Sound volume is drastically improved these will get loud and seem to have a broader sound quality. Im now keeping volume 1/2 to 3/4 instead of fullblast and also helps with phone calls a lot. They do have a noticable difference in design feels like the weight is more spread out feeling more like im not wearing anything. Case is a tad bit different but still looks pretty close to older ones design but more rounded. Overall very pleased with them their very worthy of the cost of upgrading to them.

A great option for open fit model
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love those earbuds and considering that the app is still not supporting this newly launched model, I am sure that the experience is going to be even better. With that being said, the Shokz Open Fit 2 is a very high-quality and comfortable pair of earbuds that I would definitely recommend to others. First of all, when you get the box, you are greeted with the user guide, USB-C to USB-C charging wire, the carrying case, and the two Open Fit 2 earbuds. The manual gives a quick guide on how to start using the device with great diagrams on how to put it on. In my case, because the app is still not supporting this model, the connection was with my phone's Bluetooth. The earbuds themself each have a designated touch area, which in my current experience didn’t do anything, in the meantime the physical button that can pause music, move to your next track, move to your previous track, and increase or decrease volume, which I have actually found very useful. There is also a button on the charging case which also does nothing. When you first put them on, it sounds pretty quiet, but you get used to it pretty fast, and let me tell you, that audio quality is awesome. Of course, because this is an open-fit model, the earbuds allow you to very clearly hear anything around you which I personally find great. Surprisingly, if you have something playing on these, people around you won’t really be able to hear what you are listening to which I think is also pretty cool. Back to connections, while connecting the Bluetooth to your phone, the process is really easy. That isn’t something I could say while connecting to my computer though. I understand that the model can be connected to at least two devices but I have tried on multiple occasions to try to connect these earbuds to my computer and that was a more difficult task. I would also hate to forget the fact these earbuds have amazing battery life. I have been able to use these for three days straight without needing to charge them. The attention to detail on this device is great, it is clear that they spent a lot of time working on this. One last thing I would like to mention is the fact that despite the fact that these earbuds look like they would hold on tight, whenever I was doing any activity with them, the earbuds do easily get loose and never fall off. This is a great issue though you are aiming to secure your asset. All in all, these are some really great earbuds, are very high quality, feel awesome, and I would definitely recommend

Solid open ear headset from Shokz
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are times when you're listening to music or on a call and you want to shut the rest of the world out - perhaps you're on your daily commute or in a loud open office or such. Other times though, you don't mind hearing the world around you - maybe you're at home but still want to listen semi-privately to music or need to take the conference call after hours from the house. It's that second set of times where open ear headsets like this OpenEar2 setup from Shokz can come in handy. The OpenEar2 earbuds (I call them that even though they aren't really true earbuds, but you get the picture) are very comfortable to wear, as they're fairly light and well-balanced. As someone that wears in-ear noise cancelling earbuds for conference calls 30+ hours a week, it's nice to have something that sits OUTSIDE my ear too sometimes when I'm not in need of the full silence. Sound quality is good too, though not QUITE as good as a high end in ear set, but the range is good (of course without deep base given the size) and the notes of music are clear across high, mid and mid-low ranges. Spoken word is also quite clear and the microphones are good for picking up outgoing voice without much in the way of background noise. Given the overall size / shape of the headset, the case is a bit larger than the now tiny TWS in ear sets, but not troublesome or oversized, it's still an easy fit in a pocket or purse. Battery life appears to be good, though I do wish these was a way to tell from the case what the level of charge is (some other cases use a series of LEDs to indicate charge level, but not here) and charging is easy from USB-C. Fit is generally good and should be universal, but they're somewhat less secure than in-ear buds and not sure I'd trust them fully to stay in while running or cycling, but they'd probably be fine while lifting weights at the gym. Quality of both the earbuds set and the case itself is quite good and they should prove to be durable in use - or at least as durable as any similar set. So if you want to give your ears a rest from in ear buds without losing much in the way of audio quality or microphone / outgoing quality, these are a great option from a known company in Shokz. Give them a try today!

A great contender for the OpenRun Pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Completely worth it, despite the fact that the price is a little steep, i changed my OpenRun Pro for these guys, even though both are fantastic, Battery life is insane, they can last for a LONG time and the build quality is pretty awesome, considering i dont feel them in my ears most of the time. also their warranty is really really good.

Comfortable to wear
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I want to state that this review is just for the ear buds themselves without the app. I hope that the app will allow some sound customizations. That said though, these are great. The sound is not the greatest, but they still sound pretty good for not being in your ear. One thing for me that I consider is comfort. Especially for myself as my left ear has a lump. I was afraid with these as they sit where my lump is. Most earbuds that go into the ear, fall out due to this. These fit great and I had no issues even wearing for long periods. Because these do not go into your ear canal, you can hear things happening around. So, if you are looking for noise cancelling ear buds, these are not for you. I like this fact myself, as that allows me to wear at work, home, walking etc. and still hear things around me. They do drown out noise some but not all the way. But even with noise, I was still able to hear music, videos etc. just fine. The part that goes around the ear, is a soft plastic type material so it flexes instead of a hard plastic. My wife could hear that I was listening to something but could not hear what it was, and this was with the volume all the way up. Overall, for me these are great with both my ears. I am glad to finally find great ear buds that feel comfortable for both my ears. I recommend these if you do not need noise canceling.
