Good quality and very easy to connect. Still getting used to the touch feature.

I had to replace my headphones and read the reviews and thought these would work. Well it was easy to connect to my android phone, sound is ok but they do not feel comfortable around my ears....(Maybe my ears are too big lol) because they slipped a few times. Also they are sensitive to touch so your music and calls are easily stopped

Hello- Shokz here! We're very sorry to hear you're not completely satisfied with your OpenFit Air. To adjust sensitivity on your Shokz OpenFit Air, use the Shokz App to customize touch controls, specifically by disabling "Continuous Volume Adjustment" to stop accidental touches from sweat or hair, which turns volume changes into single-level taps instead of held-down adjustments. You can also find EQ modes (Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost, Treble Boost) and other gesture settings within the app for a personalized audio experience, managing how sensitive the touch controls are to your taps and holds. If you find these are not a good fit for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy Customer Service directly to learn of their return policy. Thank you!

I often accidentally disconnect phone calls and pause music when attempting to adjust earbuds for comfort. Callers do not complain of background noise as they have with other earbuds I’ve owned

I wanted to like these and I did for a bit. It took awhile for them not to hurt my ears. The biggest issued I have with them is that they are not good for phone calls, and that is what I need them for the most. I could hardly hear and when I would try to readjust while on the phone, I would hang up on the caller, due to them being so touch sensitive. The music played fine and I could hear and good for working out. I do like the brand and the customer service is great, I think I need to try a different pair.

They started out with quality sound but about 1 month in they kept disconnecting from my iphone and there is no way to locate them if you cant find them. I sure wish I could trade them out for another upgraded pair.
Hi there - Shokz here! We're sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your Shokz. In this case, we'd suggest a manual reset of the headphones. If the reset doesn't resolve the issues, all Shokz come with a 2-year warranty. Please reach out to us if you need further assistance. Thank you!

I love the fit of the Shokz OpenFit Air Earbuds! I accidently slept in the Shokz OpenFit Air earbuds and they were secure and intack upon awaking the next morning! These earbuds wrap around the back and then top of your ear for extra security. They are very comfortable and I can barely tell that I have them in my ears. I have worn the earbuds each day for about eight hours mostly because they are so comfortable that I forget to take them out of my ears. Charging the earbuds fully takes about an hour. My phone conversations while wearing the earbuds were crystal clear.
Setup was very simple. You can pair the Shokz OpenFit earbuds to your phone and or PC. The earbuds can be switched between the two devices that were paired. Then you may download the Shokz app from Google Play Store or App Store. Using the app on your phone you can customize the controls, ie. change the double tap(play/pause) and press and hold (decrease/increase volume) from the right earbud to left earbud and vice/versa. Overall these are a very impressive pair of earbuds. Highly Recommend.

This review is prefaced on the idea that one expects to use these earphones in mind of their purpose and design, which dictates that the listener wants to hear their surroundings. These earpieces deliver consistent, strong sound performance via Bluetooth and absolutely still let the listener hear what is happening around them. These are fantastic earbuds for exercising outside. This is my primary use for them, and I think they are fabulous.
Pros: Great sound, easy to operate, fit is easy and very secure, easy to operate controls, multi-point pairing, some personalization available through app. Works brilliantly for running outside.
Cons: Iimited sound adjustability through app; got a little uncomfortable on right ear after nearly 1.5 hours, plus sunglasses. Not great for treadmill or avoiding noise from coworkers or others.
More details:
I wasn’t sure what to expect from these Shokz earbuds. I have been growing more disenchanted with wearing more conventional earbuds, even those that allow ambient control to bring outside noise into the listening experience when you want to hear in your environment. I had been considering the bone-conduction models of Shokz, but I didn’t like the band that goes behind the wearer’s head.
Enter these Openfit Air Shokz. These are *not* technically bone conduction, and I honestly cannot compare them to other Shokz for that reason. They are little speakers, essentially, that sit just in your ear opening. I know that seems like it won’t work at all, but I have been amazed at what I can now hear while running, even while also still getting good sound on music. I listen to music at a reasonable volume on earbuds, rarely above half-way volume. That works fine for the most part, even on days when I was running in the wind. There’s definitely some wind noise, but honestly I think less than when I was using pass-through ambient earbuds.
I *love* these for running outside. They are super secure (again, I wasn’t sure that would be the case, and I don’t have huge ears. I can wear sunglasses and a headband along with the Shokz and have had no issues with fit or security.
Battery life seems fine; I have mostly used them for short periods, but after more than an and hour and a half use, they are still at 90%. The case is still at 60% after about a week and multiple (small) charges. So, no complaints. USB C charging is fast. The case is slim and and square. Because the ear hangers have to be ear sized, this case isn’t as tiny as some bud cases, but it’s small enough for a pocket (even in women’s clothes).
Touch controls work fine, but the may be annoying in cold weather when wearing gloves. Some personalization is available in the app for the functions on each bud, but they are default for volume and pause/skip, which work fine and are easy enough to do.
Sounds performance: good at all levels. Strong bass and strong stereo feels. Lyrics and vocal music come across well. In the app you can adjust the eq for “standard,” “voice” (i.e. for audiobooks or podcasts, talk radio), “bass” and “treble.” I’ve tried these; I think standard works best for most of my music and voice if clearer for listening to non-music audio. Treble might be nice for some orchestral music. The bass setting to me seems to sacrifice a lot of mid and upper tones; and I don’t know that it’s great even for heavy bass music—it all just feels a little muffled. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THE APP, you don’t have to. But you won’t be able to adjust settings.
Two sound caveats. Bluetooth / wireless is way better than it used to be, but it’s not the same as the fidelity with a plug-in, high end, over ear headset. So, I don’t expect buds to perform in that way. Caveat two: I’m centered on the experience while being able to hear other things. So, the sound is impressive in that it’s immersive, clear, and directed astoundingly well as it lets me also hear myself type or the jingling of my dogs’ collars. That does also mean that there is sound leakage. So, people around you might well hear some of what you are listening to. I wore these while casually working at home, and my spouse was in the room with me. He had no idea I was listening to them while working (my hair was covering them), but I was listening at a fairly low volume and his hearing is not as sensitive as mine. If I were working next to somebody, or listening loud, that person might find the Shokz annoying.
Also, they are obviously not sound isolating or noise canceling. So, while I love them running outside…I did not enjoy them on the treadmill. Likely they are not the best choice on an airplane either, but I’ve not tested them in the vicinity of screaming baby.

I love Shokz. I bought my first pair a few years back, the AfterShokz ‘Titanium’, before they shortened their name to Shokz. Since then, I’ve owned the ‘Air’ and ‘OpenRun Pro’, with the OpenRun’s being my daily set of headphones I keep in my work backpack. These new OpenFit Air’s are a whole new beast. All my previous models were similar in that they all had a headband style design, each earbud connected by a headband seated behind your head. With these new OpenFit Air’s, Shokz has done away with the headband. The result is an overall smaller product, which is especially evident when the OpenFit Air’s are stored in their charging case.
The one thing I’ve always liked about Shokz is that they are all designed for an open-ear experience, meaning you aren’t tuned out from the world around you. Open-ear headphones are perfect for any type of outdoor activity where you need to be aware of your surroundings. And while I do use mine regularly around the office, so I can hear others around me, I absolutely love taking them out on the golf course, so I can listen to my own music and be aware of any stray hits when someone inevitably yells “FORE!”
The Shokz open-ear experience has not been lost with this new set. While they do cover your ears more than their bone conduction siblings, they just sit hovering next to your ears, kept in place by a sport ear-band style wing that wraps behind your ears.
What I Liked:
• They feel very secure on my ears. After the initial oddity of having a headphone hover over your ear wear off, I really appreciated how secure these were especially out on the golf course. I was worried they may fall off mid-swing, but not once did they really budge at all. These exceeded my expectations.
• The sound quality is up there with my Shokz OpenRun Pro’s, which sound fantastic for open ear headphones. Shokz has gotten better and better over the years of delivering on sound quality in their open-ear designs.
• I found the touch controls very useful. Tap and hold on the left bud for volume down, tap and hold on the right for volume up. Double tap on the left for play/pause, and double tap the right to skip to the next track. You can also answer calls by double tapping the right bud when there’s an incoming call.
• These earbuds look premium. I really like the way they look with the chrome and rubber fusion.
• As with any open-ear headphone set, you don’t get ear fatigue or itchy ears from plastic and rubber sitting in your ears for extended periods.
• The earbuds as stored in their case are relatively compact. The case is comparable in size to the case for the Beats Fit Pros, though slightly bigger.
What I disliked:
• The touch controls, while generally useful, sometimes were a bit too sensitive. I inadvertently skipped a song or two I was enjoying while trying to adjust the earbud itself. I got used to how to manage not to trigger this, but it still occasionally happens.
• The built-in mic is serviceable for phone calls, definitely not the best I’ve heard. As my sister put it when she called me and I answered on them, “It sounds like you’re talking through a radio.”
• That’s it. Those are the only two complaints I had with these. They are really vey good overall.
I think these are likely to replace my OpenRun Pro’s as the set of headphones I carry around on a daily basis. They have a much smaller footprint and won't take as much space in my backpack, while still packing the same punch sound-wise as my OpenRun Pro’s. I highly recommend these.

SHOKZ OPENFIT AIR EARBUDS ARE ROCKIN' GREAT!

Received my Shokz earbuds and they arrived wonderfully packaged. Box is shrink wrapped so you know they are new and unopened. Good quality black case which is magnetic so when you put the earbuds inside it grabs them and holds firmly in place. Also included is a small USB-C charging cable and an instruction booklet. My earbuds were both already charged at 100% but the case was at 50% so I started charging it.
Before wearing I downloaded the Shokz app and created an account. It then registered my earbuds. In the app you'll find 4 EQ modes ~ Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost and Treble Boost. Also the battery life is displayed for each earbud and the case. I really like that feature!
I listened to music and they sounded really awesome! No distortion at all switching between the various EQ settings. I mainly use these for speaking on calls and they immediately attached to the Bluetooth on my iPhone. The Vocal setting was the best for that and listeners stated they heard me loud and clear. Not fuzzy at all. Same with what I could hear ~ just perfect. The Standard mode is fine for all around listening and that's the default setting when you receive them. There are other various settings in the easy to use app so it's a users choice which they would like.
I found these earbuds to be extremely comfortable. Because they don't have to fit inside your ears and have wraps that go around your ears, they stay on nicely and I can wear them for hours with no discomfort whatsoever. Great battery life too!
All in all I highly recommend the Shokz OpenFit Air earbuds. I'm so pleased with mine and they definitely earn a 5+ star rating. I LOVE THEM!

Audio Quality
I listen to a lot of music, videos, and audiobooks on my phone so it’s important for me to have decent quality earbuds. The OpenFit Air earbuds by Shokz offer good audio for the media I listen to. My biggest complaint is about phone call quality - callers couldn’t hear me very well and said I sounded far away or not loud enough. I also could really only hear the callers when I had my volume all the way up. I tested this on phone calls as well as WhatsApp calls. I ended up having to disable the earbuds for calls, it was a bit inconvenient.
Comfort & Fit
These Shokz earbuds loop around the top of your ear and the speaker piece is an open-ear design where it hovers over the ear, unlike typical in-ear earbuds. These earbuds feel secure while wearing them, especially while moving around, making these the most secure earbuds I own. My skin and ears are sensitive so it’s hard to find earbuds that are comfortable. The open-ear design is nice because I no longer get tenderness in the opening of my ear canal like with in-ear buds. However, now the top of my ear experiences tenderness because of how the loop sits on my ear. If you don’t have sensitive ears, you may not experience the same discomfort. For example, I gave these to my husband and they don’t bother him at all.
Connectivity & Battery Life
Connecting via Bluetooth is fast and I even easily switched connections between two phones. Battery life has been good so far, I’ve only charged it once and used it for a few days so I anticipate being able to use them throughout the week and charge them on Sundays before the start of the work week.
Overall
The good things about these earbuds are features I already expect to work well and I do like the open-ear concept. Personally, I can’t get past the poor phone call quality I experienced. I didn’t enjoy these earbuds as much as I’d hoped. My husband tried them out and liked them so he is happy to keep them.

If you are tired of having your earholes plugged up and want them to breath, then these are for you. They have excellent sound quality and surprisingly good bass, considering that they are not inside your ear cannal. That being said, they are not the loudest earbuds. Which is understandable given that they are not inside your ear cannal. So they would not be suitable for loud environments. The only downside is the limited touch controls. I feel like they could do better with a small software update to allow more taps and different types of taps to control your media.

The Shokz OpenFit Air is a nice pair of headphone for day to day comfortable use.
Unpacking and build quality: Comes in a charging case, with a small USB C to A charging cable and a small manual. Charging case holds the open fit air headphones, is a bit larger in size compared to other brands but that is due to the size of the earbuds. build quality is solid.
Fit and wear: The ear buds are very comfortable to wear and feels very light weight. you have to slide gently over the ear flap and it has a nice rubber lever kind of that is almost weightless. after a few minutes I don't feel that I am even wearing. I wear spectacles and my specs also sits comfortable over it. I have not issue with that but that may be personal comfort for the person wearing it.
Sound, call quality, features and battery backup: These have great great battery back up. and the charging case provide additional juice. Can be paired with 2 devices and ability to switch seamlessly. sound is great and I can not go beyond 30-40% of the volume because it will become very loud. the music sounds very rich and with good bass. The iPhone app provide some additional customization and equalizer modes. although I feel it could have more features in the Eq.
Incoming and outgoing calls are sounding clear and both person can hear. Although they are open ear design but I can comfortably hear in the loud/noisy environment and the other end of person hear almost no background noise.
The only thing I feel that at this time the charging case should have been wireless charging capability.
Overall these are a great pair of comfortable earbuds by Shokz.

The Shokz OpenFit Air Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds are a game-changer in the wireless audio space. As someone who values both sound quality and situational awareness, these earbuds hit the perfect balance.
Sound Quality: The audio clarity is superb, with crisp highs and balanced mids, while the open-ear design delivers a surprising level of bass without compromising on external awareness. The sound feels immersive without blocking the environment, making it ideal for outdoor runs, cycling, or even casual office wear.
Comfort: These earbuds are so lightweight and comfortable that I often forget I’m wearing them. Unlike in-ear buds that can cause discomfort after prolonged use, the OpenFit design sits gently on the ear, making them perfect for all-day wear.
Connectivity and Features: Pairing is a breeze, and the connection remains stable even when I’m moving around. The touch controls are intuitive and responsive, allowing easy access to volume, tracks, and calls. The battery life is excellent, giving me several hours of continuous use without needing a recharge.
Durability: With their sleek black design, these earbuds are not only stylish but also sturdy. The sweat and water resistance is a bonus, especially during workouts.
Overall, the Shokz OpenFit Air is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for high-quality, comfortable, and versatile earbuds. Whether you’re an athlete, a commuter, or someone who just enjoys great music, these earbuds won’t disappoint!

I've owned the Shokz OpenFit for a few months now. I use it for gym, work and running.
Gym: i turn the volume up to full blast, as i dont want to hear the gym pmatlist or the grunting creatine monsters next to me. Works like a charm. Especially enjoy tje skip function. The sauna also sees my earphones for 20 minutes every morning. When the sauna is over 180 degrees, the earphones turns off after about 10 minutes. I have not bothered to check the temperature limits of these earphones. I often lock my phone in the presswood lockers and Connectivity remains perfect as long as i am in.line of sight. (Big metal machines, walls or glass walls interrupts the Connectivity. )
Work: i am a general contractor, so the earphones sees dust and rain often. (I live in Oregon). I appreciate the pause function to chat with employees, clients etc and then continue without hassle. Wet gloves or fingers are a bit of a challenge to use the tap functions, but then the back of my hand works great. I use these inside over-ear protection or with in-ear earplugs and the sounds remains amazing in both cases.
I ofthen place my phone in one room on-site and move between rooms or sawing stations outside. Connectivity remains flawless. Going up or down stairs or into a car while the phone remains in the house, is a challenge.
Running: not usi g them at full blast, enabling me to hear traffic well. I am not an avid runner, but i have yet to miss an important sound (other runners, cars, dogs) in my surrounds.
I have yet to deplete the batteries in a day.
Even better if:
1. the earphones does not have a skip back (rewind) function. That would have been great.
2. I am not sure how to answer a phone call yet ... wouldve loved if ot was as simple as tpuching one of the earbuds, bit alas, it didn't work for me. Guess i will have to read the instructions.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're glad to hear you're loving your OpenFit Air. Saunas can reach very high temperatures, which can negatively affect the glue holding the headphones together and potentially damage the battery. While the OpenFit Air are water-resistant (IP54), they are not waterproof for submersion and prolonged exposure to steam and moisture in a sauna could cause issues. We do not recommend not using their headphones in a sauna, showering, or exposing them to heat sources.
To Answer Call: Double-tap either earbud End Call: Double-tap either earbud Reject Call: Long-press either L or R when receiving a call
The OpenFit Air User Manual can be found on our Shokz website. Once on our site, click "Support", "Help Center".

This new Shokz open fit air wireless headphones are good for working out, running or just to be use while making a phone call other than that I won’t be using them for my commute or to just listening my playlist music since the sounds doesn’t meet my expectations . The earbuds are light , comfortable to use, stay in place while working out, and so far, it’s sweat proof but not sure if it is waterproof since it doesn’t specifically mention it on the box or manual. The battery life is good, it last me almost all day during my working out, making phone calls and it charged up fast enough for me to use them again. The Shokz app is just for basic settings, nothing else but monitoring your earbuds and case charge status,EQ modes and to set up multipoint pairing, that’s all, but you can use the earbuds without the app if you like. The earbuds are perfect for those that wants their headphones to stay in place while working out, doesn’t want those earbuds inside their ears or just want to use them for phone calls or office. The one thing that this earbuds falls short is the quality of the sound is not as great as I would expect, the max volume is very low, barely any bass even though you can set the EQ modes on the app, the sound quality is just flat. The noise cancellation is good but while listening to music you can still hear noise out there even on phone calls, not a bad thing if you’re using the earbuds while driving or riding a bike. The multi pairing is ok with the help of the app, but not really a necessity if you just use it with your phone.

Fairly comfortable and better audio quality than my previous Shokz Aerofit. Takes some time getting used to the controls, but they work well. Connects to bluetooth super fast and the battery life is very good, a full workday of listening easy. The battery case has magnets to hold the buds in place while charging so they won't fall out easily if dropped. Best of all, you can hear everything else, as they don't block your ear canals like regular earbuds, so you can hear the wife and baby crying.
