Posted .Hi there- Shokz here! We're very sorry to hear this has been your experience. We highly recommend ensuring that the latest firmware version has been updated via the Shokz app for the best experience with your OpenFit Air. There is also a phone setting that may resolve the low volume issue. -On the iPhone, go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Headphone Safety, make sure that the Reduce Loud Audio Feature is switched off as this will affect the volume of the headphone. -On an Android, go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphone and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for it. If you decide these are not a good fit for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy Customer Service directly to learn of their return policy. Thank you!

A set of earbuds that checks all the boxes!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shokz OpenFit Wireless Earbuds These Shokz OpenFit Wireless Earbuds come partially charged in their case – more than enough to get you started. You can choose to charge the case and the case then charges the earbuds when you put them back in. Or you can choose to charge the case with the earbuds inside the case. The User Guide covers not only the setup, but also shows you how to wear them. The Guide also covers the earbuds’ touch controls as well as instructions on downloading the Shokz App. Pairing via Bluetooth is straightforward so connecting devices is a breeze. The Shokz App offers four EQ Modes (Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost and Treble Boost). In testing on voice calls, I switched between the four modes while on the same call, and I was told they all sounded good. I also switched between the four EQ Modes while listening to music. I ended up going with Standard since I felt it had the nicest balance of treble and bass. The app also allows you to set up what a Double Tap and a Press and Hold do. Like me, you may well decide to stick with these default settings: Double tap left = Play/Pause Double tap right = Next Press and hold left = Decrease Volume Press and hold right = Increase Volume The app also allows you to pair two different devices via Bluetooth. This allows you to seamlessly switch between the two paired devices with MultiPoint Pairing . When putting on the earbuds, you’ll want to remove your glasses if you’re wearing them. Once the earbuds are on your ears, you can replace your glasses very easily. While I’m not a real audio aficionado, these earbuds sounded great to me, both when playing music and on phone calls. And they’re so comfortable that you can wear them all day. In fact, you might even forget that you’re wearing them. The included two-year warranty is a year longer than many other devices, so Shokz obviously feels confident in their product. As someone who doesn’t like things IN my ear and am only comfortable with “over-the-ear” devices, I feel like I’ve finally found just what I’ve been searching for in these Shokz OpenFit Wireless Earbuds. Highly recommended.

Great for activity with situational awareness!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz - OpenFit Air Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds are a significant upgrade over the OpenRun headphones (if you use/have experience with those). They sound better, can be louder if that's what you want, have an equalizer option via an app, are more compact, come with the now ubiquitous charging case, etc.. Context: I've got a bit of an earbud/headphone thing... I've purchased/used/tested LOTS! I very rarely use headphones unless I'm active- mostly hiking, running or cycling (on a bike path- not in traffic!!) and have a definite rule now that I will only wear "sport headphones/earbuds" that have ear hooks- all others either feel like they're going to fall out- or do fall out! I really like the Shokz products as they allow for stereo sound, but also allow you to hear what's going on around you (if I wear in-ear sport earbuds, I usually only wear one at a time). I've had a pair of Shokz OpenRun's for a couple years as my go to running/hiking headphones. The Shokz - OpenFit Air Open-Ear True Wireless Earbuds are super comfortable and have really solid sound quality. Compared to the bone conduction sound- the sound is much richer, more bass-capable and don't cause the vibrations/tickling at higher volumes. All of this while maintaining the "open" experience that doesn't totally shut out the outside world. Note: if you're trying to shut the world out- these aren't for you- that's not the purpose of these. The touch controls have been reliable and straightforward, the app is simple and pairing couldn't have been easier.

Already replacing
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had these for 2 months and already having to get them replaced. I did not research enough to find that there is a common issue where the right side will completely stop working. If I could return these and get something else I would.

They stay in!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up these headphones for video meetings at work and for walking and running. The package they come in is very nice and the headphones seem to be a very solid build and were fully charged on arrival. When I first tried them on I actually couldn’t figure out if I was doing it right so I had to check the instructions. I did have them in right they just don’t fit like traditional headphones. The actual speaker sits on your concha so they don’t actually go in your ear canal nor do they make a seal. Because of this they lack bass and no matter what I tried it didn’t improve. (More on this later) As far as battery goes, they hardly have used any battery for about 1 hour of meetings and 3 hours of physical activity. Going back to the lack of bass, because how they fit my ears don’t get all itchy because it allows plenty of airflow. I also didn’t have any urge to keep adjusting them or playing with them when you get sweaty. There also is an app that you can download that gives you the ability to add equalizers, customize control buts and shows you battery status. Even with the EQ I could not improve bass which is why I’m deducting 1 star. Overall, despite the bass, I really think they are comfortable and great for the price!

Great sound, No ear pain
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you need an affordable set of earbuds that won’t hurt your ears or your pocket, these are a great choice. I’ll start by saying that the Shokz are probably the most comfortable earbuds I have used in a long time. I am an all day user. Whether it’s listening to music, watching videos or making a simple phone call, I always have them on. As you may know this can be painful with most all earbuds on the market. This is not the case with the Shokz. The ear loop that wraps around the back of your ear is hardly noticeable and keeps them nice and secure, as an automotive technician i have yet to have one fall out like many others that I have tried. Sound quality is pretty impressive even for a pair that does not physically go into your ear, they have plenty of bass and vocal clarity. Phone calls are clear on both ends. The app that can be downloaded onto your phone or other devices is very user friendly and allows you to personalize the touch features on the earbuds and the equalizer. My only complaint I have with the app is you can’t personalize the EQ, so if you like to tune your EQ like I do to fit your music type these may not be for you. Battery life is also great for someone that listens all day like I do.

Do not fit bigger ears
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The problem with them being open air is they have to fit on your ear the right way for you to hear anything. This was not the case for me. I have bigger ears so the figment was off and I couldn’t hear the audio on a podcast even with the volume all the way up.

Great over the ear earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shokz OpenFit Air OPEN-EAR TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS are wonderful. They allow for you to play your music loud, with crisp sound quality and at the same time you're able to be aware of your surroundings. These are not noise cancelling, but what i can tell you is that they're perfect for running outdoors, or just using to listen to music while you do outdoor or indoor chores. They allow for great sound quality, and I'm able to stay aware of what is going on around me. When you open up the earbuds, you'll need to charge them (Just like you do with any other product), however once they're charged their battery life is substantially longer than other earbuds that I have used in the past. There is an App for you to download that will allow you to use some presets for equalization, such as high bass or high treble. The earbuds have a perfect over the ear fit and they never feel like they're going to fall off even during rigorous outdoor activities. Overall I'm very happy with the Shokz OpenFit Air OPEN-EAR TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS and I highly reccomend them to anyone that runs outdoors or enjoys outdoor activities.

Pretty impressive
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am always looking for a "better" earbud. So many in the air earbuds don't fit me well because I have smaller ears. They can be painful too. I was intrigued by these Openfit Air and couldn't wait to try them. They came in a flat, square case that's more than likely too big to carry in your pocket. The case charges with a USB C. They connect via Bluetooth to your device. According to specs, the battery life is 6 hours with 28 hours from the case meaning you can recharge them more than 4 times. They are lightweight, weighing in at 8.7 grams. The Openfit Air hook over your ear with a soft silicone while the device rests against the owning of your ear canal. Let me just say, the sound is fantastic. I couldn't believe I wasn't wearing actual in the ear. They are definitely not soundproof. You can hear everything around you. Controls are located on each device. Their location is a little awkward and I bumped them when I adjusted their position. They work well for making calls. These were slightly uncomfortable with glasses. Overall, I was pleased with these and I look forward to wearing them more.

Overall a very solid open-ear headphone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried a few different headphones of this style in the past with mixed results. these are a mid level priced pair and the performance is pretty much in line with the price. These won't blow you away with brain exploding bass, but by design this style really can't deliver that kind of performance. The bass is acceptable for this style, however. Volume level is fairly loud, but not so loud that you can feel it's too much. Comfort wise these aren't bad for short usage sessions. After a couple of hours they seem to start to pinch a little and when you take them off your ears may seem a bit tender to the touch for a little while. Still, all and all not a bad fit for probably the vast majority of ear sizes The clip is fairly soft and flexible for a secure fit. There is an app you can access to adjust the sound and the battery Life for use outside of the charger seems to last quite a while. I have no problem with the overall battery Life and the charging case has a solid feel to it.
