You don’t put them in your ear , but you can hear perfectly around you and the headphones are so clean and clear with the sound quality. I am happily surprised as I tried other brands similar but the sound quality was subpar. I recommend these for those who get sweaty at the gym and lose AirPods easily. Need my music for tjose workouts.

I can hear everything around me and still enjoy my music. The only thing I'd wish for is to have the music be louder, but it's probably best for my ear drums that it doesn't go louder. lol. My husband tried out my pair and he wanted his own. I bought him a pair and he uses them every day. Great sound, reception, fit, etc.

Pairing it through Bluetooth through old and newer technology was a pain, it didn't always connect when you switched devices and had to re-pair them each time. Sound is good, songs with bass in them does well with these. If you play music loud, everyone else can hear it too, so no privacy if you like to get lost in music. It sits comfortably right outside your ear canal so A+ on that!

Unique over-the-ear style lets me hear my surroundings, but still delivers quality sound. Lightweight - can’t even tell when I have them on without music. She loves them. She finds them very easy to pair and very comfortable where she forgets she's wearing them. She wears glasses and is a senior citizen. Recommended.

Overall the sound quality and confort were exactly as i needed and expected. Unfortunately, when using at night the wife would complain that she could hear the music and at times if i laid my head on the side where the headphone is on, the volume would turn all the way up. Now to the reason for my 2 star: the charging system on these is terrible.Many times i have placed them in the case to charge only for them to stay connected. They use magnets to what you would assume is align them with the charger but as soon as you close the case, you can still hear them playing music in the case. Fidgeting with the. Eventually causes them to turn off and charge. But...i would then put them on at night again only to get the alert that they are at 10% battery. Good sound Good comfort Great design for non inear audio device Charging case is horrible.

1. Confirm whether the lid of charging case is closed: If the lid is not closed after put headphones into the case, the headphones will not be disconnected from the phone.
2. Try to use the latest version of the headphones firmware: Download the latest version of Shokz APP from app store, then connect the headphones and upgrade the firmware to the latest version (V20)
3. Check the indicator light outside the box: If the indicator light outside the box is not on, it means the charging case is completely out of power. The headphones will not be disconnected when charging case is out of power, and you need to charge for case.
4. Check the charging contacts: Make sure the charging box contacts and headphones contacts are clean and dry? (If the contacts are dirty, it will affect the connection. You can use a dry cotton swab to wipe the contacts)

I won’t use them as long as I maybe should but for bone conduction and to hear your world around you it’s great as long as you’re not in too loud of environments then whatever you’re listening to is just drowned out.
