I wanted to like these and I did for a bit. It took awhile for them not to hurt my ears. The biggest issued I have with them is that they are not good for phone calls, and that is what I need them for the most. I could hardly hear and when I would try to readjust while on the phone, I would hang up on the caller, due to them being so touch sensitive. The music played fine and I could hear and good for working out. I do like the brand and the customer service is great, I think I need to try a different pair.

These are good quality, but they are too tight for my ears and not flexible to fix that

Fine for music and audio books

Audio Quality I listen to a lot of music, videos, and audiobooks on my phone so it’s important for me to have decent quality earbuds. The OpenFit Air earbuds by Shokz offer good audio for the media I listen to. My biggest complaint is about phone call quality - callers couldn’t hear me very well and said I sounded far away or not loud enough. I also could really only hear the callers when I had my volume all the way up. I tested this on phone calls as well as WhatsApp calls. I ended up having to disable the earbuds for calls, it was a bit inconvenient. Comfort & Fit These Shokz earbuds loop around the top of your ear and the speaker piece is an open-ear design where it hovers over the ear, unlike typical in-ear earbuds. These earbuds feel secure while wearing them, especially while moving around, making these the most secure earbuds I own. My skin and ears are sensitive so it’s hard to find earbuds that are comfortable. The open-ear design is nice because I no longer get tenderness in the opening of my ear canal like with in-ear buds. However, now the top of my ear experiences tenderness because of how the loop sits on my ear. If you don’t have sensitive ears, you may not experience the same discomfort. For example, I gave these to my husband and they don’t bother him at all. Connectivity & Battery Life Connecting via Bluetooth is fast and I even easily switched connections between two phones. Battery life has been good so far, I’ve only charged it once and used it for a few days so I anticipate being able to use them throughout the week and charge them on Sundays before the start of the work week. Overall The good things about these earbuds are features I already expect to work well and I do like the open-ear concept. Personally, I can’t get past the poor phone call quality I experienced. I didn’t enjoy these earbuds as much as I’d hoped. My husband tried them out and liked them so he is happy to keep them.

    Good headphones for working out

This new Shokz open fit air wireless headphones are good for working out, running or just to be use while making a phone call other than that I won’t be using them for my commute or to just listening my playlist music since the sounds doesn’t meet my expectations . The earbuds are light , comfortable to use, stay in place while working out, and so far, it’s sweat proof but not sure if it is waterproof since it doesn’t specifically mention it on the box or manual. The battery life is good, it last me almost all day during my working out, making phone calls and it charged up fast enough for me to use them again. The Shokz app is just for basic settings, nothing else but monitoring your earbuds and case charge status,EQ modes and to set up multipoint pairing, that’s all, but you can use the earbuds without the app if you like. The earbuds are perfect for those that wants their headphones to stay in place while working out, doesn’t want those earbuds inside their ears or just want to use them for phone calls or office. The one thing that this earbuds falls short is the quality of the sound is not as great as I would expect, the max volume is very low, barely any bass even though you can set the EQ modes on the app, the sound quality is just flat. The noise cancellation is good but while listening to music you can still hear noise out there even on phone calls, not a bad thing if you’re using the earbuds while driving or riding a bike. The multi pairing is ok with the help of the app, but not really a necessity if you just use it with your phone.

Impressive Sound, But Fit Could Be Better

The Shokz OpenFit Air is an exciting leap forward in open-ear audio, bringing you a richer, fuller sound experience that surpasses earlier models. From the moment you take them out of the box, the improvements are clear—enjoy deeper bass, well-balanced mids and highs, and a listening experience that feels beautifully immersive, all while keeping your ears open to the world around you. Whether you’re taking a call, vibing to your favorite songs, or staying alert during a workout, you’re bound to be truly impressed by the outstanding sound quality. With all the latest open-ear technology, these earbuds are a joy to use. Their lightweight design and open-ear fit allow you to stay aware of your surroundings while indulging in a surprisingly rich audio experience. Calls are crystal clear, and the upgraded driver technology ensures that everything from podcasts to your go-to playlists sounds better than ever. If you can snag these for under $100, they offer fantastic value, especially for anyone who enjoys being tuned in without losing touch with their environment. However, my wife and I have found that the fit can be a bit of a challenge—it doesn’t quite feel secure enough for all-day wear. While they’re pretty comfortable, they don’t sit as snugly as we’d prefer, making them less ideal for more active use. We both lean towards the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Mini for a snugger fit that maintains comfort. But if you find that the OpenFit Air fits you just right, it’s an incredible upgrade with remarkable sound quality—definitely worth a try to ensure they stay in place!

    Lightweight, great battery life headphone

What I like the most about these are light weight and great battery life. The are comfortable to wear and good for listening to music, but not in the noise environment as they are open ear design and does not have noise cancellation. The call quality is just average and sometimes scratchy. I use these with iPhone 13 and my Mac. These seamlessly switch between the two device without any problems, The app offers little functionality but overall the headphones are just plug and play. Their drawback is that they remain connected even if you remove them (but do not keep them in the charging case). It could be a nice functionality like apple air pods that if you remove them they disconnect and paste the music. Overall these are good for music and okay for calls in normal environment.

I liked the design and the feel of these! The issues I ran into were connectivity and people being able to hear me. When you first put them on for the day they connect quickly. But if one dies and you need to connect the other it is not a seamless process where you simply put the other in and it connects. It can take up to 30 seconds to connect to the other sometimes. When people would call and I'd answer they could barely understand me. So these went back. Very comfortable though. After a few weeks they seemed to die quicker. For listening, they are great. For phone calls, not so much.

I loved my original aftershoksz that went behind my head. So when they needed replaced i bought these ones. The sound is great but if i have them on for more than 2 hours they bother me. My least favorite part is the touch controls. If my hair brushes then wrong they skip chapters or tracks, stop and change volume. Especially if i am exercising and start to sweat .

It was ok. Pairing it through Bluetooth through old and newer technology was a pain, it didn't always connect when you switched devices and had to re-pair them each time. Sound is good, songs with bass in them does well with these. If you play music loud, everyone else can hear it too, so no privacy if you like to get lost in music. It sits comfortably right outside your ear canal so A+ on that!

They are very comfortable here. And the fact that they don't go in the ear makes them nice too, but using one is not very loud; using two just makes it a little louder. In a gym environment, you can still hear everything and barely hear the music.

I'm a truck driver and i have multiple pairs of headphones. They're really not a bad product at all. I Bellevue they would be great for around the house and maybe even the gym. In the trucking world , not so great . The noise cancelation isn't good , and the volume is to low.

The sound quality is pretty decent for the price range. However, if you are as sensitive as I turned out to be then the one reason I returned it might be relevant for you too. My cartilege started to hurt about an hour to keeping it on even though these are the lightest weight. It maybe very specific to me, but putting it out here in case it might be an issue for others. Cannot review sound quality further as I did not get to use it long enough for an informed opinion.

I paid for the open box item. It came with the original box and looked new in the beginning, but when i checked, I found a slight discoloration on both earphones. The discoloration was at the part where it touched the inside area of the ear. This usually happens because of the sweat and using it for at least a few months. Other than this, I dont have any issues.

I am a fan of Shokz aka After Shokz. However, these stopped working less than a month after I purchased my first 2 pair. Both pair, stop pairing and one stopped charging correctly. I would love to have positive feedback. Maybe it was these particular ones. Gonna give them one more chance, as they fit amazing and do not fall off my ear.... Will come back and adjust review.

This was the second set of Shokz that I have bought from Best Buy. I purchased a Shokz Air in the past, and was very satisfied with them. I have two phones and could pair both phones simultaneously with the Shokz Air, but unfortunately, this set will NOT pair simultaneously with two phones. VERY disappointed.

Listener sound is outstanding, full sound, good bass, exactly what I was looking for. When I asked people on Zoom and phone calls, some said quality was poor on their end. Battery life isn't great, even after just 1 month of use. drops out of Zoom calls when not fully charged.
