Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, open-ear design, fit, bone conduction, and lightweight features of the OpenRun Pro Premium Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones. They appreciate the clear and immersive sound, comfortable and secure fit, long battery life, ability to hear their surroundings, lightweight design, and innovative bone conduction technology. On the other hand, customers are negative about the volume, bass, price, connectivity, and microphone. They feel the volume could be louder, the bass is lacking, the price is high, the connectivity is unstable, and the microphone could be improved for better call quality.

Great for listening to music while also being able to hear what's going on around you. I also like to use it in the car because I can hear traffic while also being able to listen to something and and still be able to hear my kids in the back seat. Stays on your head while running or doing other exercise. Can get a little tight on your head. If you wear it for a long time and it can jiggle a little bit? If you are wearing it while sitting and rest your head against the head rest.

It is an excellent product, especially if you are a runner or a cyclist; it is very light and comfortable; the only thing I will work on is the sound quality, and I will add more features, especially on the companion app

Great audio quality for both music and phone calls. They’re very comfortable and the battery life is excellent. Download the app and you can switch listening modes from a focus on music or vocal enhancement if you use these a lot for phone calls and online meetings.

Real Estate Professional here. I walk into vacant home un-announced multiple times a day. Need to keep my wits about me! These headphones make that happen. You can press the button on the side and answer calls, activate Google Assistant (or Siri if Apple is your thing) to make phone calls, send text messages, etc. I even found an app that reads my notifications aloud so I never have to take my phone out of my pocket unless I want to see something on the screen. I was worried about sound quality but, after trying them, they greatly exceeded my expectations for the scenario I needed them for! . No complaints here! Even the call quality is more than acceptable. Battery life lasts me all day and into the next. Liked these so much I went out and bought the Opencomm 2 UC version for my zoom/google meet calls in the office. Awesome concept! You'll probably want a pair of Noise cancelling (ANC) headphones for those times you want to block out the world but, for the times you need to be aware of what's going on around you, these are the ticket!

My Favorite Solution for Mountain Biking

I use these to mountain bike and they're the best solution to having music on the trail that I've found. I also like using them when working in the yard, as I like to still be aware of my surroundings. THINGS I LIVE BEST: 1) Comfort - the thinness around the ear makes wearing these, plus sunglasses, more comfortable than any other earphones I've used 2) Battery life is excellent - I've had plenty of battery left after 5 to 6 hour rides. Recharging is quick, too. 3) The controls are very easy to use. Better than my previous Bose and Airpods. 4) They stay where they're supposed to. WHAT COULD BE BETTER: 1) The sound quality diminishes once you get into the upper end of the volume. Not a huge deal because the whole point of these is to hear music and what's going on around you, so I don't use high volume unless I'm on a MTB only downhill only trail. My Bose that used similar technology had better sound but the part that wraps around your ear was bulky and caused pain and battery life wasn't good. 2) The carrying case is bulky enough that it would be great if you could charge these in the case itself. Seems it would be easy to build that into a case of this size. Yes, it would increase cost but I'd pay it. OVERALL: I've tried several brands and styles and these are my favorite. When you're on a bike for several hours, comfort, battery life and ease of operation get high priority. These check all the boxes. I'm a fan.

If you’re tired of your ear buds falling out when you run, look no further. These stay on your ears and are very comfortable. They will not totally block out all noise around you, which is the point to safely hear your surroundings as well.

Excellent headphones. Very unique and comfortable design. I bought one of their earlier products many years ago for cycling and it was ok, used to feel some minor vibrations but this is a much improved product. This "open-ear" design is a game changer for outdoor activities, perfect for an audio book or music while you are outside. Also, I have started using them for phone calls at work and on the go, much more comfortable than airpods pro or similar products, which obviously go inside your ear. Love the case too. The sound volume levels might not be as good as in conventional headphones but these things are super useful for certain environments.

Transitioned to these as I prepared for my first marathon, took me a few days to get used to the sound and the feel but now I’ll never go back to other headphones for running. I had to use my AirPods one day for a run because I couldn’t find my shockz and I hated how much I couldn’t hear my running partner when we ran.

    My opinion

Having worn these day after day for about a month I’ve noticed a few things that I’d like to expand upon. First of all comfort, They take some getting used to in the beginning as you’ll get a tickle on your cheek bones with bass or other loud noises. If worn too much I notice an uncomfortable ache in my ear that’s probably from the pressure and vibration that I’m not accustomed to. Then there’s sound quality. In noisy areas they are almost useless, I’ve found having an ear plug in or just sticking my finger in my ear helps the bone conduction relay the sound to my ear drum, again for noisy areas. When in a generally noise free area the headphones work great. When talking on the phone I’ve noticed the microphones limit the background noise making your voice #1. If you’re in the bathroom the person on the other end might hear an echo. I can wear them all day without needing a charge. I listen to podcasts, books, news and social media. I’ve even used them at work where “headphones aren’t allowed” and gotten a pass from the boss because they leave my ears open to my environment. Overall they have a great look and they wear really well. If you’re looking for an open ear concept this is the brand for sure.

I wasn’t too sure about them at first, but I have to try them out for a couple of weeks. They are some of the best Bluetooth I’ve ever had. And they’re really comfortable. I forget I’m wearing them sometimes.

This is my second pair of Shokz. First pair is still going strong my wife just stole them for work she liked them so much. I use them for all fitness activities, my laptop, and while driving. They are exceptional with all day long battery life. The added EQ settings in the companion phone app help change it up from loud in the gym music to relaxing and listening to an audiobook quite easily.

I have had my Shokz Open Run Pro headphones for 4 months now. I love these headphones. I use them at work in my hospital and kept in the on mode with no music on sometimes. When I get a call, the conversation is crisp and clear both from the headphones and microphone. I am heard well under an operating room mask with no problems. When I am watching a video or listening to music, the sound is amazing. The advantage of these non conduction headphones is I can hear when somebody wants my attention. The battery lasts all day and I sometimes charge them every other day since it’s good for at least 2 days of use. The headphones are comfortable and sometimes I forget they are on. I love these and highly recommend them.
