Pretty good for what they are. Sound quality isn’t the best but it is alright, lacks any bass but that’s expected. They do get reasonably loud and are fairly comfortable for long periods. Easy to setup with Bluetooth and easy to use.

Amazing bone conduction headphones. I was a fan of the original aftershock trekz, and these are lighter and more comfortable than the originals. I regularly forget that I'm even wearing them. Good sound as long as you aren't in a loud environment. For example: Not ideal for the plane or when mowing the lawn.
I use them at work in an office setting and set my volume so that I can enjoy my tunes or have a conversation without missing a beat.
They sync up with no issues with my Samsung Note 10 and work great for phone calls.
I recommend these if you don't need nose cancelation or heavy bass.

Back in 2011 I started panicking about something that some of you may think sounds very silly. I was Pregnant. Initially I was excited and happy. After we had my oldest child- the panic set in soon after when I didn’t feel comfortable wearing headphones anymore. Maybe I’m the only mom this has effected but I highly doubt it. I kept headphones or ear buds in my ears from the time I was 11 until after my first baby was born. Then I realized it’s just not safe. I felt like I could just listen to music on the radio. I didn’t like most of the music that came on the radio. Some music that I listen to has words I’d rather have my child not have to learn until they read it on the bathroom wall in middle school.
After our second child I got a pair of nice beat noise cancellation headphones. I’ve worn them possibly 3 times in 3 years. That alone made me so sad. I was not able to have the music in my ears at all without it stopping background noise. My ability to hear my kids is more important to me due to their safety. I decided I’d sacrifice my music for them. Then I read about aftershockz.

I did a lot of research on aftershockz and I ended up buying the Aeropex pair for my 32nd birthday!
I am absolutely elated about these bone conduction headphones. No the music isn’t blasting out my eardrums; the base isn’t the BEST. It is the absolute best purchase I’ve made in over 5 years I’d have to say. Every day since I bought them I’ve used them. I can easily hear all background noise without a problem. It’s important that I can hear what my kids are doing- or not doing. I don’t want them blocked out.
Finally being able to add music back to my life has been thrilling to say the least. They don’t hear it but I can. I can also hear them. It’s perfect for anyone needing to be aware of background noises. The technology is impressive. I highly suggest the Aeropex series.

Bought this pair as a gift. I use my own every day. Battery usually lasts about 8 to 9 hours of continuous run time though it varies on your volume level. These are great if you work in an environment where you are required to be aware of what's going on around you at all times. They are very comfortable for long periods of use and the built in microphones are so good that people never know when I'm on a call using it. These are also a good hearing aid replacement. My father is legally deaf and has purchased very expensive hearing aids in the past but he claims the quality of sound from running these with a passive mic app on his phone is on par if not better than the hearing aids. Plus they're fully waterproof. If you have the money I would definitely recommend a pair of these.

I thought I would like these and was wrong. I love them and can't take them off. 10/10 gift from my girlfriend and I couldn't wait to get her a pair. (She loves hers too).

I bought these for running outside, they are amazing for this purpose. I can forget they’re on my head they’re so light. I can perfectly hear all ambient noise for safety, and get crisp good sound for the music. They also are working very well for phone calls.
Now, if you’re looking for running headphones that give clear ambient hearing, buy these. Their strength is also a weakness for other purposes. They block nothing, you hear all ambient noise, and they have weak bass. So if your purpose is like mine, they’re perfect. If you’re looking for something to use on a plane, or metro, or places where you want ambient blocked a little, these aren’t the ones. 5 stars from me though, running and gym duty, and heavy sweat, great.

I intended to use these while.running and biking, and they are great for it. They stay out on your head, allow you to wear hats and helmets without issue. Great purchase for this use case.
Sound quality is better than I anticipated, but barely anything for base, though this makes sense. As far as a workout headset goes that still allows you to hear what is going on a round you a bit, these are great. If you turn them up enough, it does still block out hearing people talk to you, and you can still hear sound coming from the unit itself. It's not magic where you only hear sound once it touches your face. They are still speakers, but it is still a really cool experience.

The Shokz OpenRun has been one of the most impressive audio devices I’ve used; easily standing out as a top-tier wireless listening solution, especially for active lifestyles.
What really sets it apart is its exceptional battery life. It comfortably lasts through an entire marathon run without needing a recharge, which speaks volumes about its reliability during long workouts or outdoor activities. The open-ear, bone conduction design is another major advantage, it allows you to stay aware of your surroundings while still enjoying audio, making it ideal for running, cycling, or even just walking around busy areas.
Unlike traditional earbuds or headphones, it doesn’t cause any ear fatigue or discomfort, even after extended use. That level of comfort is rare and makes a noticeable difference if you’re using it regularly.
I’ve been so impressed with the experience that I’ve gifted it to more than half a dozen friends and family members and the feedback has been consistently positive. Everyone appreciates the combination of comfort, safety, and performance. It’s one of those products that, once you try it, quickly becomes hard to go without.

Lightweight and comfortable to wear. Sound quality is better than I expected. Decent battery life considering their size. Like others have said, don't get these if you're into bass, but for background music and podcasts, they are great!

Love these. The sound is great, and no one around me can hear a thing -- but I can hear my surroundings. I feel safe wearing them when I walk and exercise, and for hands-free use when I'm driving. The button controls are easy to use and to remember/find the right button without removing the headset.
The only negative I have is that sometimes, if there's a lot of bass (ie, it's bass not volume) in what I'm listening to, they kind of tickle my ears/skull/head -- in an annoying way. But most of the time, it's like they aren't there. Hands down, the most comfortable and safe headphones I've ever owned.

I was initially very hesitant to buy these – could they really live up to the hype? One of my friends had mentioned that I should pick them up since I am a runner and like to be able to hear in case there are cars coming.
Man, these are so, so nice.
They are SUPER light. The features with the multi-function button adds all sorts of functionality on the headphones.
The battery life is VERY, VERY good, easily 8hrs+.
Best of all, I've run in the rain and the snow with these things and they are rock solid – moisture is generally not an issue. I have recommended them to a number of my running friends and they are all super happy with the purchase, too.

comfortable even after hours of usage, doesn't fall off even when running, doesn't tickle ears, doesn't vibrate like its previous models, lightweight, surrounding-aware due to bone conduction technology, good sound quality, and provides real buttons (no touch).

These by far are the refined product of aftershokz. I have owned the 2 prior generations. The areopex are more comfortable then the prior gens. The areopex are a great improvement from the titanium and the air. I like the way they're more contoured to your head. The conduction heads are more comfortable and feel more stable. I feel the wrap around band has been shortened and refined it doesn’t inter fear With the collar of a jacket as much. The sound has been improved. The conductor heads are less prone to volume vibrations. As of the current model these are the ones to get. The battery life is great. The rating is 6 hrs. I can get a good day in and not worry about running out of power. My phone calls are very good too.

Love the fit of these! So comfortable, and I feel much safer being able to hear my surroundings while I’m running. The sound quality is great, and the battery life is perfect. It’ll last me a week of 20 minute morning runs at least. Definitely recommend the investment if your looking for a quality pair of headphones to run, walk, or move in!

I use my AfterShokz for running because I've had consistent issues with my ear holes getting sweat in them using regular ear buds. These are surprisingly snug and play a good enough volume of music that sometimes I forget I'm even wearing them.
PROS
Excellent for running and outdoor sports.
Lightweight
Safe - you can hear most noises around you
Don't go IN your ear so you don't get sweat in there
Easy to clean
CONS
Sometimes the audio will go up and down in volume. Not sure what causes it.
Hardly no bass so not good for music that sounds better with it.
Not sound proof
VERDICT
If you are outdoors and dealing with a ton of traffic or the potential to be "snuck up on" in a dangerous area - these are good. You get to be hyper-aware of your surroundings.
On the other hand, if you are at the gym and just want bass and to hear the loudest it goes - I recommend something else.

These have better sound than the other models but still lack in certain ways. The volume needs to be louder with better base. The pickups when speaking need to be much better. I’ve been told it sounds as if I’m in a tunnel. The fit is good as is the connectivity. But for the price they should be better.
