Really good if you do any streaming or asmr. The usb is a little loose which is annoying because it falls out just by the smallest tap, but that could just be a manufacturer defect but overall I enjoy using it

Not the SM7B but more bang for your buck

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve used many microphones from $30 usb mics to $1,000+ xlr mics and this is easily the best USB microphone I’ve used and even beats many other xlr microphones in its price range and above. The fact that it offers xlr and usb inputs and sounds as good as it does, i would recommend it to anyone looking for a professional sound with easy set up with usb and room for upgrades with the xlr connection once you’re able to get an audio interface. Only negative I’ve noticed is the plosives “Ps” and “Ts” are harsh without a good pop filter. If you’re expecting to get a USB version of the Shure SM7B, you’ll be slightly disappointed, but comparing by price, you definitely get more bang for your buck with the Shure MV7, especially for podcasting/streaming.

It's definitely not going to sound like the Shure Sm7b it's big brother, but depending on your voice that might be a good thing. If you know how to Eq your audio I'm sure you can get it close. Also, I have no idea why it still uses micro USB and why it doesn't have 100% compatibility with the iPad.... With that said it's a great mic that you can grow with and really easy to use. You'll have the best zoom calls or sound legit on your podcast. I strongly suggest getting a different wind screen for the mic.

The only criticism would be that it could be better at handling the plosives, however, a simple fix would be to buy the RK345 wind screen from Shure.
