By actually giving the Roku remote the ability to change volume and inputs to the TV, it makes the remote actually much more useful. Only downside it that since it only clips on the side, it is a little more awkward to use and sometimes slides up or down a bit. But its usefulness far outweighs the downsides.

Good addition to the remote. Nice to adjust the volume without having to find the TV remote.

As a multi-year cord-cutter, I've used a Roku almost exclusively for years. Despite the Roku remote's simplicity, I had to keep the big TV remote around simply to for the power & volume functions. The Sideclick makes for a simple & non-obtrusive addition that cuts down on the remote mayhem around the house!

These remote attachments are awesome! Easy to program and add more control for your A/V setup with a Roku. I have mine setup to power on/Off, volume up/down, mute on a Yamaha amp. It also switches the video input between TV/Roku/AppleTV/Chromecast and external receiver. Keeps it simple but very functional!

The remote works great. It's simple to program and totally customizable. It's a code-learning type, so you can program channel buttons for your tv, and volume buttons to your receiver/soundbar, etc if you want to. It also has 2 wildcard buttons for whatever else you may need (one to power on your Bluray player, and another to play/pause for example; I use mine as 'menu' and 'enter' buttons for the tv) Even as a $20 Deal of the Day it's a pricey gadget, and probably not much more than a novelty as I'm sure you can get a $5 universal remote and program it to control your (ir) Roku.

I bought the Sideclick for all of my tvs and use them every day. I programmed them for tv power, volume, channels, source, and mute. So I don’t need my tv remotes with my Roku remote. The fit and ease of use are fine. I would recommend the product.

This Sideclick works well. Set up was extremely easy and they buttons work. My only complaints are that for the Roku, the way it attaches seems kind of flimsy, but I can understand why. The Roku has a battery compartment so you would have to take it in and out of the attachment frequently. but the flimsiness does make the button pressing feel a bit odd. Also, as i've read before, the IR sensor is a bit small, so you definitely want to directly point the controller at the TV for it to work well. Other than that, it's been great, I wish it could have another button or so.

This is a must have for any Roku owner. Never have to fumble around looking for extra remotes. very simple and easy to program. Use the power button to turn of the TV, and program the vol up and down for the tv or separate stereo/surround sound. very simple and must have

This is a cheap and convenient way to eliminate having multiple remotes. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

The kids can't seem to keep up with two remotes. This Sideclick remote solves that problem by keeping the regular TV remote out of their hands. If they can't find the Roku remote they can't watch TV. :) It took less than a minute to click the parts together and to attach it to the Roku remote. Programming was very straightforward. I tend to prefer universal remotes that are programmed with a code but this one requires you to teach each button with an existing remote. Not a big deal but it takes a few extra clicks. All-in-all a good purchase for me.

It’s clunky and somewhat awkward, but works great. It’s sad Roku only now decided to include volume and power on their remote. I hate that Roku avoids HDMI-CEC’s best features. The sideclick makes my Roku much more useful.

This remote was easy to program. It does not mess with codes. You point the regular tv remote at this one and it learns the signal. I now have one remote to control the tv. If you have this and the roku, you can turn a standard tv into a smart tv.

It sits a little awkward in your hand when it’s on the remote. It’s super convenient to have one remote in hand, rather one for the tv, one for the roku and one for the soundbar. It was beyond easy to program, and you can customize each button to whatever you want it to do. I took one star off because although I have the right plastic part on it, if it falls off the couch the remote pops out of the sideclick, it’s not a very tight fit but certainly not a deal breaker.

I had no problems setting up the Sideclick, I was rolling in ten minutes. Nice to have multiple functions on one remote. The additional width makes the device a little clunkier to use, but I don't think I'll have a problem getting used to it.

Being one who sometimes suffers from "remote fatigue" (too many remotes!), I was glad to see this SideClick for my Roku remote. It works as advertised, and was simple to program. Now one remote is all I need when I'm watching Roku channels.

I had doubts about buying this. Wasn't sure if I even needed it or whether it would be as useful as I hoped. Turns out, it's essential! Makes you wonder why the Roku remote didn't come with built-in features to enable synchronization with televisions, even if only using IR. The feel takes a bit getting used to, but why should that even matter since ideally no one is keeping the remote in their hand while enjoying content, right?! Buy it! If you hate having to use a separate remote to turn on or off your tv, raise or lower the volume, then buy this!

This device is a must have if you have multiple devices attached to a Roku enabled TV. None of the Roku remotes I have allow you to program them to work with other electronics. The Sideclick, which attaches to the side of your Roku remote allows you to program it to control your other attached electronic devices. That way you don't have to reach for multiple remotes. Once Roku starts allowing their remotes to be programmed, I don't see value for this device any longer.

This was the perfect addition for my Roku stick. I have an older Sony Google TV that was not being used for anything other than a monitor for the Roku - since the built in software of the television was obsolete. I had to use a massive multifunction remote for only a few functions, and a second remote for the Roku. The old setup was clunky and awkward. This product simplified everything! I am just thrilled - whoever invented this is brilliant!

Inexpensive addon to add multiple remote functions to the Roku remote. Easy to install and a breeze to program. All I need to control the Roku, my TV and my sound bar. A must have device if you use s Roku as your main streaming box.

This is exactly what I needed. I have a very simple setup (TV, Roku Stick, Vizio Sound Bar) and had to switch between 3 remotes to watch a show. This sideclick solved that perfectly and it was extremely easy to set up. I love it!
