I bought this because I hate the scroll pad on the Apple TV remote. I was hoping this would allow me to use the up and down arrows on the side kick instead of scrolling. First of all the instructions are not that good. You are supposed to be able to program different devices to this. I think I got it to work to turn up the volume on my TV, but that was it. No on/off, no source input, no sound bar, nothing else. By biggest thing is that i tells you how to connect the side kick to the TV and other devices (if it really works), but nothing shows you how to pair it to the actual Apple TV remote. The remote clicks into the side kick, but it is not really "connected", so nothing really works with the apple tv. It definitely was not what I was expecting. Maybe someday apple will make a halfway decent remote, but until then I'll just stick with the one they make.

I’ve had the product for a little while now and had no issues. Pretty easy to program.

I love it. I am able to control my media player, TV, DVD with one remote.

Love this thing. I will be getting these from now on for every TV. They are great for programming special functions.

Have to program but works as describe. Wouldnt buy unless on sale.

The controller itself is pretty small, so adding a bit of bulk and the controls has made it easier for my husband (I use a logitech remote).

I got this as a early Christmas present for my friend. They love the gift. It took a minute to understand the setup but it seems to work great.

So I really only want this device because of two flaws in the apple tv remote. 1. it is too thin and easily lost. 2. It has no power button or input changing function. The device works for these purposes, but will break fairly easily after a couple falls off of the couch.

I tried to replace the remotes of my Toshiba TV and cable digital box. It does not recognize the remote for the digital box. The device itself I received happened to have defect - the two parts of the unit easily disengaged due to the lock is defective.

Difficult to program but I like it as a remote control just for my Apple TV. It needs better documentation in order to receive more stars from me. It does not operate certain functions of my Apple TV that I feel like it should.
