    Biggest "problem" with Apple TV is that the hdmi inputs don't always switch automatically between it and the cable box. Bought this to make it easier to switch without finding the other remote. If it had a couple of more progammable buttons it could replace my cable box remote too. It does work for me though. Gets the job done.

    Best remote accessory for Apple TV by far with very easy setup and ease of use. The slim remote becomes more stable in the hand with this extension.

    It's good for what it's meant for, but it's bulky. It makes the controller awkward to hold. Apple needs to give us a controller with buttons.

    Now we can pick up a single combination gadget to get the touch surface and voice control of the Apple TV remote *and* extra buttons that activate other TV set features—turning an older tv on or off, moving between sources, changing the over-the-air channels, etc. Sure, you could program a universal remote to do some of that, but this is the cleanest and most intuitive solution I’ve used.
