Niche lens works well. Wt is still heavy, need tripod/monopod clarity of photos good. Harder to do fine tuning of pics but overall settings usage good. Able to get good details on birds/feathers. Case to carry lens good. Hood is good. use of lens is for the patient and planner photographers

I first saw this lens at the PPE in New York. There are two versions of it, Pro and Contemporary. This is a perfect lens for anyone who want to get in close to your subject at a affordable price. I truly love this lens.

This has been a good lens. It how ever dose not compare to nikon 6oomm lens at$12,000 bucks but for those who want to get that extra distance. The lens has a nice tripod mount which is a must at 8lbs... no as lite as your 70 to 200mm. Keep that in mind it dose come with its own carry case. It has image stabilization and it dose have a lock so the lens don't drift when carrying it. Over a great price for the lens

Very sharp, quick auto focus, decent weight. Exceeded my expectations. First sigma purchase, so far has proven to be better quality and performance than the Tamron lenses ive purchased. Well worth the money!

You can hand hold this lens and get great pictures. This is definitely a specialty lens. This is for safaris, birds, etc... Very sharp pictures even at 600mm. I use it with the Nikon D7100, so it gets 900mm at 24 mp. The lens is very heavy, but it is way lighter than the sports version. Be sure to get the dock for future updates and personal configuration. This is a bargain for all this lens offers.

So far so good! Haven’t gotten much use yet, but what I have, I’m impressed. Tri-pod a must if you shoot less than 125ss @ 600mm. Price and delivery were great.

I purchased this to use at our local Air Show and it takes excellent shots of planes zooming by... Most zoom lens' take time to focus or even process the shot, but this thing rocks. Stands about 12" tall, and can be heavy for a tri-pod, but I use all my arms and flippers to hold it making sure I don't drop it. Very stable and takes excellent pictures, whether they are 20 ft away or miles away. I also use it for taking MOON shots without a tripod, which does not blur any shot.

I always wanted a long lens but didn’t want to spend 2 or 3 k on one so I got this one and very happy with it. So read some more reviews and watch some videos and that will help you. It all depends what you want from it.
