Phenomenal lense. I bought this recently and it has been a great gift for me. It’s incredibly sharp, especially wide open. It is great for basketball (from half court) and is great for portraits with beautiful bokeh. For the price, I can not recommend anything less. It is incredible, sharp, fast AF, and just a beautiful lense to own.

Best lens in my arsenal! 5 Prime lenses in one with 1.8f for all mm’s. It is heavy through, but worth it!

Let me start off with I'm new to photography and videography! I started with the 18-55mm STM lens that came with my canon T6i. Then I picked up the Canon 24mm F2.8 prime and the Canon 50mm F 1.8 lens, However the 50mm being my fav it was too much zoom for close shots. I wanted something with the same aperture but in a zoom lens and this lens caught my eyes being a crop senor camera owner. Pros: •F1.8 on a zoom lens!!! •Bokeh! •This is pretty much 3 prime lens in one for a fair price! •Lens is sharp! •Build quailty is top tier! •Zoom and Focus is smooth! Cons •Only meant for APS-C cameras! • Some vignetting at F1.8 but goes away at F2 •It can be heavy for some!

Purchased this lens to improve the quality of my photography and videos after researching and learning that this is one of the best lens in the industry. I got to say that this lens will do more for improving your quality than upgrading to a new camera body. You will be blown away by the sharpness and it will take your cameras photos from basic to professional quality instantly as long as you focus them right. The focus ring is very smooth, but Auto focus is a bit spotty in video sometimes still works well in single point modes though. The lens is huge and heavy though so make sure your using it on a body than can support it or get something to balance it if your using it on a smaller body camera. Overall very happy with this lens, it has a nice wide focal range from 18 to 35 on the wide end and it stays at a constant 1.8 to keep that crispy bokeh background blur. Know what your getting with this lens though, it will be great for portrait photos, objects where you want to blur the background, great for low light photography or video as well, and has a very short minimum focus distance meaning you can shoot extreme close ups of things. It will not be good for street photography as its too heavy, it wont zoom very far, and it wont be the best lens for personal travel. This is your professional workhorse lens, and it won't disappoint! Thanks Sigma for making my camera that much better! I use this on a Canon 80D and also on a Lumix G7 with an EF adapter. Excellent video quality at f1.8 and up. Super smooth zoom ring and easy to manually focus. Potentially takes extremely sharp images, if the focus is correct, and that is a big if. Unfortunately this needs a lot of work with micro adjustments to properly auto focus. Which means you MUST buy the Sigma Dock to calibrate it, otherwise you will be lucky to get a sharp image using auto focus. At least for Canon apparently. I'm using then T7i, and out of the box this lens was horrible while using the auto focus. Luckily it was mostly fixable, now I get sharp images using the auto focus, however it still doesn't pick up obvious subjects in the frame sometimes vs a Canon lens does almost 99% of the time. So once you get past that and accept it, this lens is amazing! Great in low light, obviously with the f1.8, but an f1.8 at 18mm. Excellent for filming or photos indoors, razor sharp when the focus is hit, and worst case, use the manual focus. I tried the manual focus and found that it was not only really fun, but really easy. So I take one star away because of the focal issues, but every other way this lens is supurb.

I have a Canon T3i - Novice photographer - People like my photos - Have done several weddings and parties. Purchased because I wanted a little Range with F1.8. Read a lot reviews across a variety of articles. The first thing I tested was the Low Light Conditions comparing to the stock Canon 18-135. Took a minute to readjust my thinking to F1.8 after using the F2.5 for so long. But it did not disappoint. Comes with Lens Hood and in a soft carrying case. For me, it's exactly what I needed and could afford. The 2 photos are untouched.

I bought the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 DC HSM Art Zoom Lens for my Canon 80D and I love it. Like many of you I did a lot of research of all the lenses in the market that I could upgrade my kit lens to, and I found this to be by far the best for my purposes. The lens lets me zoom in with a fixed aperture which is essential when filming videos for film and YouTube.

I've been eyeing this lens for quite some time. The lens is fantastic. That same week I took some night shots at the beach. The lens actually encourages me to get out there and snap some shots. Highly recommend.

I own the T7i and have only used Canon lenses up to this point. They've been fanstatic with auto focusing for video and photo, and this Sigma was way off out of the box. Way, way off. I had no chance for an in focus photo. Video was ok, the dual pixel worked ok, but not great. Against Canon lenses it was pretty bad, but usable. I had to purchase the Sigma usb dock, had no choice. Spent 8 hours over 2 days calibrating it. It definitely got much better, but still off a lot of times, but now its usable for photography, so I'm cautiously optimistic that I will be able to fix it completely and be able to take amazingly sharp photos. But by no means am I happy with the amount of time I had to put into fixing something that should be fixed before it's shipped out. My advice to Sigma would be to scrap this lens and rebuild it to work with the newer model cameras.

I think this lens will do well with a Sigma adapter on a sony mirrorless; IQ is better than most, but not as good as I had hoped for. Fits only APS-C cameras

Sigma makes a fast focus lens and is very quiet. The craftmanship of the lens is excellent. Both the zoom and focus Rings operated smoothly without getting stuck. Overall I'm very impressed by the performance of the sigma 18-35 lens. It is certainly a game changer.

Pairing this lens with my Lumix GH5 is a dream, and allows for wide angle shots and landscapes, as well as portraiture framing. Especially if making use of the electronic sensor zoom feature on the GH5, you can really get a great range of looks.

This lens is amazing. Sharp images f/1.8 consistent all the way through zoom and wide angle. The Bokeh is amazing. This really is everything you would want from a standard zoom apsc lens.

So I love my nifty fifty 1.4 but the only down fall was space..expecially for filming on a smaller area. This lens allows me to have more room for filming and still get a bokeh affect...I will say the lens is huge and heavy and of course not that much light comes in like the 50mm 1.4...not a carry around lens, unless u dont mind it, you'll need a sturdy tripod, mine is a Manfrotto. U don't want ur lens to fall foward due to weight. As for the autofocus..when it wants it will quickly autofocus and when it doesn't it's annoying...the smooth transition isn't 100 how i want it..someone educate me what setting should I have it on?? Also if u want to set it up thru the internet u need to buy a whole seperate connector...it has its own USB type of product.

The image quality of this lens is unparalleled. I used with my Fuji xt4 it is worth it.

I can't tell enough how good this leans is. This is probably the best leans I ever had. Keep in mind, it's BIG but the quality is exceptional and having 18-35 1.8!! with you in just awesome.

The lens met all our expectations for the price. Im glad I did not buy the more expensive one. The quality of the pictures ai great.
