    Be aware, Sigma does not seem to be made to last. I have only had this lens a little over a year and it is already slipping in focus quiet a bit. I baby this lens and it stays mainly in my studio for adult portraits. I love this lens, but do not like the fact that it is already loosing focus consistently

    Very sharp lens. Best 50mm for Canon EF mount and cheaper than the Canon 1.2 version.

    This lens is absolutely amazing. The images it produces are stunning and the creative focal points you can achieve with the lens are endless. I am shooting on the Canon 5DSR and this lens pairs very well with it. I will recommend purchasing the Sigma Dock so you can calibrate the lens. I noticed it was back focusing right out of the box. With the Sigma dock you can adjust the focusing and set it up to achieve what you want out of the lens. Unfortunately Best Buy does not carry it though.

    Fantastic lens. I recently upgraded from the Canon 50mm 1.4 and I have to say this lens provides an entirely new level of sharpness. The images my 6D can produce with this lens have blown me away. This is well worth the upgrade from the Canon 50mm 1.4 if you are considering it. The build also just screams quality and you really feel like you have spent your money well after using it. Highly recommend.
