I’ve been shooting with my Sony A6300 for 2 years. While I love the flexibility of my telephoto this prime lens is game changing. This lens has rekindled my love for photography. And the images that it produces are awesome. The bokeh is so good. But if you don’t need it the sharpness of my images is awesome.
It is a little on the big side. Which adds weight. Makes the camera not as pocketable like when you use the kit 16-55mm.
But I debated on purchasing this lens for a while. And it was well worth the wait. If you shoot on a Sony APS-C this is a must have piece of glass.

I bought this for my Sony ZV-E10 and I love it! It works great and makes my crop-sensor lens look like a full-frame camera. I highly recommend this lens for vlogging and even for taking photos. The f/1.4 aperture makes a huge difference. I originally wanted the 24mm, but it was sold out, so I went with the 16mm—and it’s been working great!

The Bokeh that the Sigma 16mm produces is absolutely beautiful! Since purchasing my Sony a6400 I’ve been looking for a new lens to add alongside the kit lens. I’ve done a lot of research and this one has been at the top of my list. I was finally able to catch it in stock @ Best Buy and pulled the trigger. Without having built in stabilization, you’ll get you’re best video with a tripod or a gimbal if your camera doesn’t have it. The Sigma 16mm takes excellent pictures day or night with the 1.4 aperture. If you’re looking for a lens that’s great for low light and want to add that bokeh effect to your photos, the Sigma 16mm 1.4 can’t be beat for the price.

For the Price point, this lens is undeniable one of the best! 1.4f allow for sharp images, great for low light but one thing I've notice (which is normal) motor noise during focusing in video. This noise does not occur in the sigma 30mm but presist in the 16mm, which I had to knock it a Star but an External Microphone would solve this issue. Quality build is as always, 10/10

This is an amazing and sharp lense!! The buttery smooth Bokeh results in some amazing pictures, I used it mainly for car photography and coming from a kit lens this is a night and day difference! Would recommend for anyone looking for a wide angle lense for a sony e-mount.

This review is not so much for the lens--everybody raves about the image quality and I can confirm that it is indeed incredibly sharp--as the service. The lens, as you see here, is not a stocked item. It will drop-ship directly to you from Sigma in CA, as I recall. This is not a secret; they told me this ahead of time in the store. But if you are in a *hurry* to get it, be smart and plan ahead. I bought mine here about 3.5 weeks ahead of Xmas, but it still was not going to end up coming on time for my son's "big" present. I had to buy one locally for 12-25 and then return this one after Christmas. (NOTE: the price is the same everywhere, but I was hoping to use & receive Rewards points on the purchase.) I ended up keeping the extra lens as an early birthday present to myself since both my son and I have the excellent a6300.
So....all this to say, 1. incredible lens for landscape and vlogging, 2. plan ahead for shipping time since it won't be in stock in any of the BB warehouses or stores, and 3. they will take good care of you in the store if you have to do anything weird with returns, Rewards, etc.

I’ve read all the reviews and have waited for over a year till Best Buy finally got it in stock. Let me tell you, the wait was well worth it. This lens has got to be the best wide angle lens for the Sony a6000 series. I’ve purchased and returned several other brands (including Sony), but this is a keeper. The photos are crisp, auto focus is super fast, low light quality is amazing, and the bokeh is breath taking due to the 1.4 aperture.

The image qaulity is really good. There is some distortion because it is a wide lens. I woukd recomend this over the sony 15mm f1.4 because of the price. That sony lens is almost as much as its full frame conpetitor sony 20mm f1.8 which is an amazing lens with lens chromatic aboration and better corner sharpness. Dont buy sony lenses for apsc that costs as much as full frame lenses get these sigma lenses instead.

Excellent lens, love the f1.4. Its pretty straight forward. If you are unsure - I recommend you look up pictures and video online taken with this. You wont be disappointed.

A very fine wide angle for sony a6500. Slightly warmer in color tones than the sony 18-135, no visable distortion, and great inside with low light. Yes - a bit bigger than some of the tiny sony lenes, but provides a nice balance with camera and for the money, a best value.

I bought the 30mm before buying this and I don't regret either purchase. The focus ring on this one does work more intuitively then the 30mm. Amazing sharpness, and great in low light. I've used it for everything from street to astro and it's excelled in everything. I use mine with an a6300 and love it. I'm sure the results would be even better with a a6500.
