    Battery/Security

Works well and pretty easy to set up. The only issues I've found are 1. The battery is nowhere as good as it claims, and 2. For some stupid reason even if you change the password you can still view it on the home screen posing a security issue. All said though if those aren't big issues for you this works well

Ditto my last review. I'm sure that there's a learning curve, but this was not easy to set up and use, and it requires a separate subscription so the cost is more than equipment

My kids & I are currently staying away from our home, and the place we are staying had *free wifi, but it wasn't very strong, and we were staying far enough from the wifi box, that it didn't give any of us a good signal. So at 7:45PM we drove to Best Buy and asked for a wifi hot spot, the first lady said they wouldn't have time to set it up. But the 2nd employee I asked went and got the Moxee, and gave us the card to put money on it. We took it home and have never been happier haha. It was super easy to setup! I will say, it can get pricey, as the most GB you can get is 40, and with 1 adult and 3 kids, it goes fast! But it still did the job and amazingly if I may say!

It’s not the device, it’s the “service”

There’s nothing wrong with this device except the battery life is quite short. But since this product has no purpose without a service, you should know that Simple Mobile is a disaster as a company. I signed up with them on a Saturday and enjoyed about 14 hours of service. Then, with no explanation, my service stopped. I had used five gigs of 30 gigs. When I called into tech support, the automated “service” would tell me there was an action in process and to call back in ten minutes and would then hang up on me. I called in twenty or more times. I spoke several times with tech support staff. Everyone told me at the end of up to two hour calls that the problem would be resolved in minutes after the call ended. It never did. My service was never restored, nor any reasonable explanation offered.

It wouldn't work when I first got. Contacted customer service found out it needed an update and was disconnected. Called backed explained issue was disconnected again. I had to call over 2 dozen times before is was fixed because I would get disconnected. They finally got it working. Now I can't reload. Too late to return. I have useless device. It did however work well when it was working and was easy to use and was fast. The calls to customer service to get the update and get it working used up a lot of the data. I ended up changing my mobile phone plan so I could work from home when internet was down.

Absolutely awful experience. I tried activating the product but it kept coming up as unsuccessful. When I asked Simple Mobile why, they stated Best Buy was supposed to scan the product before sending it to me. However, they did not. Simple Mobile stated all I had to do was get it scanned in-store. They didn't explain the scanning process, just told me to take it to the store and they would know what to do. When I finally had time to stop by a Best Buy, they stated that in order to scan it, I had to return it first but i was unfortunately already past the 14-day return policy. If someone had explained to me that it needed to be returned first before it could be scanned, I would've moved faster. But unfortunately, I was a week past the 14-day deadline. I spoke with Best Buy's customer service, their digital activation team, and their mobile-whatever team, but everyone stated they could not help me due to it being past the 14-day return policy. Even though it was Best Buy's error from the very beginning, I cannot get this device activated or returned/exchanged. Just wasted $50+.

Definitely advise activating and buying data packages via phone. Then, if you need additional data, be careful. Website is a little confusing when adding data to your allowance. Otherwise, device works as advertised and was easy to set up.

This device works like a charm. A word to those interested in this. You need to also buy a prepaid data plan either on bestbuy.com or on simple mobiles website before/during activation. I was nervous after reading negative reviews about it not working. So i am assuming, that might have been an issue for some people. I've only used it for a few days and I can not be more happy with the speeds I am getting on my computer. My home internet can be slow and my pc is far from the router. But this device is affordable and giving me the speeds with no slowdowns like what my home internet would do, plus my pc is the only one using this device vs a house full of other devices.

If I could give the Moxee device Zero stars I would. Best buy the same thing. I purchased the deviceon the 23rd of June. Buy the 7th of July it would not charge. When I girst purchased it the charge would only last 8 hours. Now it wont charge. I spent an hour at a Best Buy store I just wanted a replacement. They stated that because I didnt purchase their protection plan they would not help me. Told me it was just a cheap unit not worth their time. It was 50.00 plus service. Now even Moxee wouldnt help. Just a paper weight. DO NOT PURCHASE MOXEE OR do business with Best Buy!!@
