After reading the reviews I was a little skeptic on but this. But I went ahead and bought it, and thought I would return it if it didn’t work out. I was traveling to Mexico and my phone spies down after 2 day of using it. I can’t upload anything once my GB are done. This thing worked AMAZING. I already told my whole family they need to buy this for for when they travel. They only down side is that battery dies fast so you have to charge it constantly. I don’t know if mine is just defective or it just dies fast. But all in all I really love this hot spot and really recommend it!

This Moxee hotspot works at a speed good with YouTube videos. I got it with a service provider at Best Buy website (also dependable) for digital delivery of PIN NUMBER ACTIVATION CODE by e-mail. So you do not need to buy a physical card at a physical store an type a long activation code by hand. Wait about 15-20 minutes and the hot spot service or data will be usable or activated. Just press the hotspot's power on button first before laptop or smartphone. You can buy 10GB of data for 50 dollars. The Moxee charges and is portable like a cell phone. You can use a laptop having a WiFi adapter or WiFi smartphone with it.

    Good Hotspot for Summer Home

Very happy with this hotspot which enables us to have internet on a pay-as-you-go plan as there are no other options in our summer house area. If unplugged, you do need to monitor the battery levels (keeping it within eyesight helps as it flashes when low). Easy to use and set up. (Note: We bought this in August 2021 but only started using it in June 2022 so no earlier review possible.)

If I could give the Moxee device Zero stars I would. Best buy the same thing. I purchased the deviceon the 23rd of June. Buy the 7th of July it would not charge. When I girst purchased it the charge would only last 8 hours. Now it wont charge. I spent an hour at a Best Buy store I just wanted a replacement. They stated that because I didnt purchase their protection plan they would not help me. Told me it was just a cheap unit not worth their time. It was 50.00 plus service. Now even Moxee wouldnt help. Just a paper weight. DO NOT PURCHASE MOXEE OR do business with Best Buy!!@

The wifi hotspot works ok. It can only use onr band at a time so you have to choose between 5ghrtz and 2.4 depending on your use. I wish it had a better interface but for the price it works well and the instructions will help you tonchangr the settings manually on the website for it

Bought this to provide wifi for computer while on vacation in a place with no wifi. Difficulty activating, got customer support via phone and then both my T Mobile phones lost service. Simple Mobile would acknowledge something was wrong on repeated calls, and, then closed for the day. T Mobile via a friend's phone worked on the issue for 5+ hours into the night and finally reestablished phone service for both phones....never knowing what the problem was. I was not eager to use this device again. By the time we returned from vacation, Best Buy's 14 day return had expired and I have only one day left on the $50 service time I had purchased and never used. My loss! Of pleasant note, today the Geek Squad of Best Buy figured out a plausible explanation in that the phones and device's Sim information might have been switched when activated by the support team so the T Mobile service didn't recognize any of them. (We are T Mobile customers and Simple Mobile uses T Mobile service...even though T Mobile says there is no connection between the phones and device). He went over the device and now it works well. Next vacation, we can try the device again since we are stuck with it.

Device and wifi Works pretty good. A bit of a process to activate it and buy the data plan/package. Cost isn't bad for the convenience, but it is an expense for the device & data plan. Speed is decent for uploading/downloading files, internet, emails/work, but I didn't stream so can't comment on that. Would be nice to be able to see how many data was used and remains before the 30-day plan/expiration date, and if data plans available at 15 or 45-days.

Im actually a big fan of this item. Was very easy to setup and start using. Once i purchased a plan i was able to use it immediately and the service was comparable to my home internet which was down for the day. The attendant who helped me purchase the item was very k owledgable too. Wish i remembered their name...

This product works great. I work from home and when I moved our Internet provider told us it would be 2 weeks before they could install it at the new house. This device was a life saver allowing me to attend all meetings and perform all my duties with no buffering whatsoever. If you plan on using it regularly it will cost you more monthly than a traditional wifi plan but it's great if you're needing something short term that's fast and reliable.

Very easy to set up and easy to use. Took just a few minutes to get it going.. simple as 1.2.3. Using it in the city primarily for Viber calls and some streaming, no issues with lag or voice quality, strong signal . cant speak to the mobility and durability of the device as it is in a fixed spot but appears to be build very solidly - also plans are a little pricey but zero complaints regarding functionality. A nice purchase overall

This product is great. If you are savvy with wifi/modifying admin settings on routers/devices, you will have a better experience with this device. By default, this device out of box locks you to 2.4 GHz radio (Which is fine for most people), but it may throw off the less savvy if they're thinking the link speed or connection is slow. You have to log into the device (Like you would with your home router) and enable 5Ghz radio, as it seems you can only run 1 or the other. On 5GHz mode, it will run at full speed, and is my preferred choice at most times. Just remember.... If you choose to change your content settings (like streaming" to higher bit-rate like 720p or 1080p, this will burn through your Data much quicker. As long as you are conscious of your internet usage habits, this device is amazing for the price. I've kept it on for 4+ hours just on it's own batter, through VPN logging into work wit ZERO issues (albeit optimal Network connection). When battery icon was concerning i'd just plug into wall-power via provided AC/ Adapter and continuned usage. The display will show you a live readout of your Sent and Receive data so you know exactly the amount of Data you're using which is fantastic. It's not "always on" obviously to save battery, but with a simple click of any of the 2 buttons, you can light up the display to check your progress. The best part is that to "fill the time" for your future months you do NOT need to provide your personal information if you do not want to. Meaning you can buy a top up card elsewhere, navigate to the Simple mobile website to add the time to your model. (Just make sure to have your IMEI information which is the single thing that identifies your device on the Simple network. This is how the service tags to your Hotspot. After about 10-15 Minutes when you type in your new activation code on your new month, you'll then see an active connection on the Moxee and can use it right away as you normally would. For the price and convenience, this device is incredible cool.
