I ordered 2 then ordered another. The third was delivered to God only knows who, but BestBuy was great in replacing it! While waiting on the third picked up a couple airtime cards for the first 2, tried activating via the app, only got an error... Tried online only got an error, so had to call. Spent an hour or so on the phone with them, the woman kept "trying" but kept telling me the sim number was wrong, then she kept asking "are you sure these are simple mobile phones" yes everything says Simple Mobile by Tmobile... Finally she had me to remove both sim cards from the phones and read the numbers for them, then she tells me "yes those are the wrong sims, let me see if my supervisor can help." When she came back on the line she asked me were I purchased them from, are they used, were they given to me etc.. I told her I purchased them from BestBuy.com, she told me that I need to box them up and return them because they have mismatched numbers and cannot be activated. I asked her if I could just purchase new sim cards for them, she told me no they don't do that because the sims are locked to devices. So I asked how they came with the wrong sim cards? She blamed BestBuy saying "what they do is recycle sims from old or returned devices and put them in new ones not knowing the cards are locked to other devices." Really? BestBuy does this? I don't think so... I personally think this would happen in a Simple Mobile warehouse, rather than a store, but I could be wrong... Anyway, I hope that the person who received and kept the third phone has the same experience!

this is a good back up phone for only 20$ but there are flaws that keep it from being a great phone. 1st is the camera is decent enough for taking ok pictures but it has no focus feature, so with store apps like target or walmart the price scan feature cannot be used unless you take the time to type in the upc code which can be difficult because of the second problem this phone has. 2nd is that while the screen is ok and looks good for videos, the viewing angle can be a little difficult during the day outdoors and also the touchscreen can very buggy and that makes typing or even touching to select on-screen selections difficult. But the audio quality for listening to music is very good and for that reason alone i will keep it as a 20$ music player because if i drop it i will only be out 20$. I recommend this for use as a nice low cost mini wifi tablet for in home only but not as a phone. just leave it in airplane mode and enjoy. a bonus is that it says it uses up to a 32gb microsd card but it runs my 64gb microsd card just fine.

The Alcatel Raven LTE is a pretty standard smartphone that fulfills the basic needs that one might have of a phone. It can do phone calls and texting. You can watch Youtube with it and it can handle some light web browsing. It can also handle some really light games, but definitely struggles when trying to play extensive games like GTA. The storage that comes with the phone can be pretty limiting and it gets filled up pretty quickly with apps. Thankfully, the phone comes with an SD card slot which can somewhat expand the phone's storage. It's really not a mind blowing smartphone in anyway shape or form. Or, in other words, you get what you pay for. For around 20 bucks, you get a smartphone that can fulfill your basic smartphone needs. Just don't expect it to be an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy S9. It's an alright smartphone.

Bought this phone as a temporary replacement for my primary phone while it was being repaired. For the low price I was stunned at the amazing capabilities of this phone. This phone does everything my galaxy s7 does except I couldn't receive photos via text and the camera quality was not as good. The photo via text issue could be caused by the service provider simple mobile. I'm not sure. I would wholeheartedly recommend this phone as a temporary phone. I can't comment about durability as I only used it for 2 weeks. All in all for the price i would totally recommend this phone. I normally don't do these reviews but I was so satisfied with this purchase I felt compelled to do so!

I got this phone as a backup to my regular phone with I travel internationally. With Best Buy coupon, it cost me only $10. It's locked to Smart Mobile and Smart Mobile won't give me the unlock code unless I go on their plan for a year, and that aint happening. I haven't really explored in depth to unlock using an unlock service but I can still use the phone over WiFi to Audio, Video and Text over Whatsapp and use other features of the phone as well. The features including camera are decent, but for only $10, they're fantastic. Makes for a great backup phone.

This phone does everything that is needed for a fraction of the cost of main stream phones. and if it gets broken, well its very cheap and easy to replace. best insurance you can have. So far it does all the things any other phone can do, It can even make phone calls. that's right. This Cell Phone will make actual phone calls, which is why I purchased it. If you need a phone that can call people on other phones, then this is the phone for you. Also does all the regular internet stuff too which is really not that big of a deal. Like apps and stuff.

I use a much faster phone on a daily basis. I was in search of a phone that could play Pokémon go and use only WiFi to connect to my main phone. You will not find a better deal to obtain 2GB RAM. The 16 Gb storage is irrelevant with SD cards, what matters is 2GB RAM MINIMUM regardless of minimum specifications. A++ plays the game relatively smoothly far better than an IPhone 5s. Not as good as a 6s with only the quad core 1.1. Somewhere in the middle for you cross platformers;)

I bought this phone as a temporary way of contact while my "Note 8" was being repaired. I wasn't expecting much for 30$ but it did ALL the "need to's" and although its a HUGE adjustment from the Note 8 phone, I was able to do what i needed in its absence. Camera is not the best but it works, in-call volume is great, beginner friendly. Only problem i had was everytime the phone display would turn off I would have to turn on the wi-fi connect. Battery saver i assume, which is another strong point of this phone.

I bought this phone for my mother for Christmas because honestly she has never had one in her 60 years of life and she’s not very technology savvy. But so far so good the phone was very easy to set up the pre-paid $25 card was easy to activate and put onto the phone and my mother is thrilled now that she can finally Be part of the cell phone generation, better late than never lol. Also I have to mention the fact that every worker I encountered was very helpful and extremely professional!

So the reason I bought the phone was because I needed an Android device in order to use my OBDeleven dongle to look at codes on my Audi. It is a very basic smartphone. It does what it needs to do. If you are looking for a fast phone this is not it. Boot up time is probably around 1.5 to 2 minutes. I have not made a phone call or texted anyone being that I did not purchase a plan with it. I use it on WiFi alone. May be a decent burner phone....but I wouldn't know anything about that.

I bought this phone for my nephew. He tends to break or lose every phone he gets. This phone was on sale at an awesome price. He has not lost it or broken or. It does everything an older teen wants to do. He loves searching the web and listening to music. I don't worry if he loses it because it was 1/4 the price of his last phone and does everything he wants.

I'm only using this phone as a control pad for my home automation system using Wink hub and various lights and switches. Perfect for my use which is WiFi connected only, so I can't speak to the "phone" part. Has more than enough power and memory for my application. If you're looking for an inexpensive controller for home automation, this is a winner.

I purchased these phones for a specific use— as backup media devices for an interactive performance, where the performers play music on a Bluetooth enabled device. At $20, these made perfect MP3 players— the price beat any bluetooth enabled MP3 player, and the performance was reasonable for what they were being used for.

This phone is great if your not expecting to much out of it in terms of speed and top notch performance. But if you need a basic phone and easy to use wifi connection for email your good. Also used this as a simple phone for my kid , no more asking for my expensive phone. Connection to wifi and they have a basic phone for YouTube.

I visited my local BB to purchase 2 Samsung devices. I ended up leaving with this phone-as someone who is constantly battling computer network errors, sales associate refused to reset terminal...again I say was walking in for two activations with device and accessories and left with this.

I cannot stress enough how terrible this phone is. Constantly loses signal. Slow and laggy. Unresponsive touch screen. Battery life is so bad! Just spend a little extra and get something else.

It looks nice, feels new and nice, but the instructions don't clearly indicate how I can hook it up to my computer. And I purchased it specifically to use in tandem with an application on my computer that I am using for one of my courses this semester.
