worst product, expensive subscription, and the device's connection to the base station is very flaky, not at all user-friendly. Most of the time, I encountered a device not connected or a similar error, and hard to get rid of it, sometimes in the middle of the nice basestation keeps beeping. I would not recommend this product.

I got this on sale I paid around $58 plus my $70 rewards. It would go back to store if I didn’t get it that cheap. You have to subscribe to be able to get a notification on your phone if someone opens your door. You could buy something else that does the job without paying for subscription.

Sensitivity is not as good as expected, especially for the motion sensor

This system has a bug when setting up on the iphone. The app on the phone continues to crash during set up. Tech support took 3 hours to help me get the system set up. The only way to get around the bug was to purchase the monthly monitoring for #30 monthly. Also, with SimplySafe, unless you pay $15 monthly you can't get text notifications in the event of an alarm. I recommend choosing another system.

So have you ever looked back and wished so bad you did not do something ? Well i have. So i signed up for a security setup for my house and should have listened way better than i did because now i'm stuck in a 3 year contract with a security system that i could have easily replaced with this for a ton cheaper. So now i'm paying almost $70 a month for another 2 years of the 3 year contract. But the kicker is this setup is as good if not better than the one i'm paying a monthly fee for. So the SimpleiSafe does have a setup you can pay a monthly fee to use only if you wanted to and there is no contract,you pay month to month. I do not know what the monthly fee is because i don't want to click on it and be paying for two services but even if i did there is no contract. The funny thing is if you do sign up for the month to month service with SimpliSafe it comes with the same exact services im paying for 3 more years for but only month to month no contract. They will call you if an alarm is tripped,they will contact 911 in the event of an emergency. Hook up of the SimpliSafe setup was a breeze. No drilling no running wires i think i had mine up and running in around 1 hour and that's because i was taking my time and im old. All in all i wish i would have done my homework and gone with this setup but did not know it existed tell a few months ago. I tell you once my two more years is up with the other company i will definitely be using SimpliSafe,
