Cameras were a little bit of a pain to setup, just happy customer service was on point and was able to assist with setup. But got a great bargain price for the items included in the bundle.

One of the cameras had a defective battery and had to request a new one in less than 30 days. I have had a camera with no problems for some time and was adding to my system. So, I am assuming it's just a defect. The other camera included in this packages has been fine so far. Though SimpliSafe is sending a new replacement, they do not expedite for existing customers using their montoring plan. This means 5-7 business days for a replacement. Which is a really long time and also, poor customer service.

I needed a wireless camera with good battery life. I didn’t want to maintain my own hard drive for storing recordings. So If you don’t mind a minimum $9.99 monthly subscription cancel anytime from SimpliSafe to store your recordings to the cloud, this camera system is pretty dope. 9.99 limits you up to 4 individual camera recordings. I’m using it for mostly delivery notification than anything ekes at the moment so it does the job well. I get notify within seconds via app if someone is approaching my front door and can choose to see live stream or rewatch a recorded playback.

It’s ok but battery life isn’t that great and sometimes doesn’t record the motion it’s supposed to

This system is so easy to set up and install. I’ve had other cameras and they didn’t work nearly as well as these do!!! Everything is quality!!!! I can’t wait to add more components to this system! True peace of mind!

I like it so far. I wish there was more information on the entrance/exit delays. I also wish there was a way to see when sensors are triggered on the timeline. The camera is used indoor, but I find at times it doesn’t always catch motion right away. Overall I think SimpliSafe should include more tutorials on how to use the products, Best settings, etc.

Very simple to set up that even Caveman can do it. Only negative, why 4/5 stars, is that the outdoor cameras has about 5 or more seconds delay in picking up stimulus. I guess it's partly my fault because I was expecting it to turn on instantly like those motion detector floodlight speeds. The system overall is probably great, didn't use motion camera indoor or other gadgets that came with the system.

Easy out of the box setup using phone app to connect to your home wi-fi. $25/month subscription fee allows for remote viewing and professional monitoring with ability to record and review video footage. Not as useful if you don't want to sign up for a monitoring plan - features are limited. Review carefully the available plans and confirm you want to sign up - as other reviewers have stated, there are other systems that offer different levels of price/service depending on your needs.

Very easy to set up. We use this system as a back up to our wired cameras. Picture quality is good. Only draw back, there can be a slight delay on playback.

The cameras work great. I brought this system because it came with two cameras. I exactly added it to my existing SimpliSafe system. The combination of the two systems working together as one eliminates any possible gap/blindspot in and out of the home. But this particular system is a strong recommendation for me at the price I got it for...Black Friday sale.

This is my review of the SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera Home Security System. The system includes the base station, two wireless outdoor security cameras, a keypad, three door entry sensors and a small key fob. The packaging of this system is very well done, everything is thoughtfully executed in the initial display. The first thing SimpliSafe asks you to do is download the app to help walk you through the installation process. It was surprisingly easy to get everything up and running in a short period of time. The only thing I needed to wait for were the batteries for the cameras to charge and that only took five hours before installing them. The app for SimpliSafe is great. It is straight forward with its features. every segment of the system is controlled from this central point. You can arm and disarm, add the security points such as door sensors and cameras, as well as configure all the controls. In my opinion the cameras are the star of this show. They are clear, bright and concise. The cameras feature a bright light that can be turned on at night and allows full color viewing at night. However, you can also turn all lights off and view black and white video in complete darkness. A nice feature that I like. Also inside the app you have control of the complete security system. The SimpliSafe system is a monitored system, however, this company gives you lots of choices. SimpliSafe gives you at least four different options from advanced monitoring to just a plain system controlled by you only. Another feature that is nice from SimpliSafe is a widget for your phone for the cameras. This little addition is a fast way to access a camera view without having to go thru the app. The SimpliSafe security system is not only a camera system its so much more. This system allows you to connect a lot of other sensors to it to make an expansive monitoring device. This system has sensors for carbon monoxide and smoke, water sensors and temperature sensors. As well as other small indoor cameras. It's easy to see why I think SimpliSafe is better than other systems; you own everything, and its a movable system not locked permanently in place. So in conclusion would I recommend this to my friends? Yes, I think it is as good as or better than any other system out there, so if you are in the market for a security system trying this one out from SimpliSafe and I think you will be pleasantly surprised like me.

We set up the Simplisafe system ourselves, It did take longer than their estimate and I do recommend a power tool. It does take a little time with trial and error to position the base, keypad and entry sensors. Cameras are great. Love the smart phone app. The cost for the system and monitoring are reasonable. Recommend Simplisafe system.

I love the option to speak to outside visitors, cellphone motion notifications and no need for service provider option.
