Overall I really like this system. It looks nice but doesn’t stand out in our house, it was easy to set up, and so far it runs great. It would be a solid 5 star for me if not for the lack of app-based system control without paying for the monthly monitoring/subscription. It seems like a pretty basic feature of a web-connected home security system to lock behind a subscription.

Great system, very user friendly and setup is a breeze.

This alarm system is great. It has sensors for doors and windows, and motion detectors as well. We bought the system strictly for sensors and motion detectors, and enhanced our google based nest camera system. I think Simplisafe is so much better than ADT.

This was simple to install and is quite easy to use. We have not hooked it up to cellular but are considering it. One thing to be aware of - the motion sensor is not supposed to pick up small dogs or cats but it did - in the middle of the night! The alarm is really loud so it will do its job of scaring away any intruder!

I was very nervous about setting up a security system, but after two break-ins to my daughter's new house... something had to give. I found ADT impossible to deal with (they over-promised and under-delivered) and I was weary of trying another service that had contracts that were a year OR TWO! I took my chance on this and was happy. It is simple to set up. We've accidentally tripped it once and they responded right away. We opted for monthly coverage - and it is cheaper than any of the services we considered. It blends in nicely and the base is not cumbersome. It works on cell towers nearby (the home we installed it in didn't have ANY wifi at all and everything worked great... but we are in a city environment... rural areas could vary). You can add components to it (we plan on adding a camera at some point) and it talks to you with specific comments if sensors are activated ("Living room door is ajar" for instance). The ONLY sensor we had to play around with was the motion sensor. It took a few different locations to get the one that would capture movement around angles, etc. We had fun testing it and it wasn't that big of a deal.

Easy installation and easy set up.Monitoring options are clear and prices are reasonable compared to the other service I used. Easy to add on additional sensors. Caught it on sale!!

I wish there was a camera in the mix instead of the remote. Still a good system overall. The tech support team is very responsive to problems. I got a couple of my sensors replaced as they were not working initially and the tech support team was very helpful.

Easy to Install not bad for the price. Good customer support. The Base Station siren is not very loud. The volume of the Base Station is adjustable but even its loudest is not loud enough.

For my money this was a great value. I had looked into simplisafe for a couple of years. It wasn't what I wanted, but recently my mother-in-law was asking about a system and so I recommended (and purchased) this for her. She loves it. Set up could not have been easier. It was ... well forgive the pun, but simple. It notifies you when a door is open, and can be set up for your preference (at home, away, armed, etc.). this kit pretty much comes with what you need to set up a house in the 1500 to 2000 sq ft range. not sure about the battery life, but so far, so good. been a couple of months with daily arming and door notifications, and no sign of excessive battery depletion yet!

I asked the clerk if this SimpliSafe alarm system sends the chosen notifications to my smartphone. He said yes. Period. So, I buy it, installed it, everything great up to this point. Then I called SimpliSafe Company to see how I get my notifications on my phone. Victor from SimpliSafe told me that I'd have to pay approx. $15./mon. for activation & monitoring. I told him I didn't need or want that. He further explained to me that the $15./mon. fee was just for them to call the police when there was a problem. I was VERY, VERY, VERY angry & disgusted with this info then told him what about alert notifications to my phone. He then explained that would cost me approx. $25./mon. I told Victor if I knew what a scam this would end up being, I never would have bought the alarm system in the beginning. I asked him why I can't just pay $4 or $5/mon. and get only the alert notifications on my phone. He said that would be a good idea but SimpliSafe doesn't have that option. ;-( Utmost dissatisfaction. Please heed to this review. I speak the truth. I am not deceptive. Thanks for reading my review.

Great home security system that is easy to set up and use. The items don’t take up a lot of space and the main console is sleek and modern so it blends well in any aesthetic without being an eyesore.

Great security system! Was really easy to set up and the price is unbeatable for the equipment in this set. I still haven’t hooked it up to the service yet but everything so far has worked flawlessly!

SimpliSafe system has sailed past my expectations with the gen 2 system. Very easy to install and the batteries seem to last forever unlike other DIY systems. There customer service is very easy to work with as well.

My wife wanted a security system for when I work late. Saw this and decided to give it a try. It was easy to set up and use. Like that it has other items we can add to it later when we want. Good price also.

Cannot beat this system for the money. Be prepared to add a few entry points, they are inexpensive. Setup is very easy. I was up and going in about an hour.

I got this with $100 off and I LOVE IT! It's so easy to set up. The monthly fee is perfect. Installation is easy as well. I've had it for over 2 months and I have no complaints so far.

I am happy with SimpliSafe Home Security System. Installation was very easy and operation is easy. I am not happy with Best Buy as I recently saw the same product with a few extras for a less price. i am quite upset as one of the things that came with the one I recently saw at Costco was the panic button along with a few extra door/window alarms. I would like Best Buy to attempt to make this situation better. I am not even sure if I received my points for my purchase. Needless to say, I am not happy with Best Buy.

Great price. It was easy to setup and it is easy to use. The app. for SimpliSafe is worthless. You have to subscribe to a month monitoring program to use the app.

Setting up this home security system was a breeze! Each piece already had mounting tape attached so all I had to do was peel and stick where I wanted them to be. Using the system is easy. The simplisafe app took me step-by-step through setup and is played out where I can easily arm/disarm the system. Customer support was also speedy and helpful in any question I had. I appreciate that I can self monitor with the system in addition to the professional monitoring system.

I was a longtime subscriber to a monitored hard-wired system. After experiencing some fault errors for some zones, I decided to move away from that system, especially since the company wanted to charge me a fortune to troubleshoot the issues. I purchased this on Deal of the Day. Install was tremendously easy. Setting up monitoring was as easy and reasonably priced. Been very happy with the overall system. Highly recommend.
