Posted .Thanks for the feedback. The loud click is from the physical privacy shutter snapping open - so when it's not in use, you really know that no one can watch!

We put the camera on the kitchen counter and aimed it out the window. We had a little trouble with glare off the window. Once we got it at the correct angle it worked perfectly.

I really like the whole system. It was so easy to add ..it only took about 20 minutes to add an additional camera, water sensors, and motion sensor

I even called the simplosafe customer support to help but they couldn't get it to work either. They suggested that we purchase directly from simplisafe and that one worked well. So overall the camera is great but the 2 cameras that we got from best buy did not connect at all.

Unfortunately if there’s an internet or power interruption it will stop working and you can’t reset from another location. You have to physically reset device.

Posted .Sorry to hear that you had trouble! Unfortunately, our cameras are dependent on WiFi which may not continue to function during a power outage. But of course they're designed to reconnect on their own as soon as the WiFi comes back.
And of course, we also have the complete SimpliSafe Security system, which has a built-in cellular backup and can function on battery power. So when there's a power outage, your home would still be protected.

Works as expected, no issues to report It can be used outdoors with an optional outdoor kit. A little pricey for what it is but the only camera that works with Simplisafe system.

When I scanned the QR code to register the camera it says that the device is currently registered on another account? This happen twice! I called SimplySafe and they told me that they've been having issues with store units. It is not because I could have potentially bought used cameras, which is what I originally thought the problem was. SimplySafe asked me to ship them the cameras and they would replace them for free. Now everything works great! I would purchase directly with SimplySafe and not at the box stores.

You can't do that with the way this is made! We bought a separate wall mount, but it promptly broke! PLEASE make/provide a mounting bracket so this can be put up out of the way!!

There definitely better cameras out there for the money, but I wanted to use Simisafe because we already have a couple cameras from them and I use their full security system. I had a lot of trouble getting this one to find my wi-fi for some reason. I had trouble with another one and took it back and exchanged it for this one. Not sure what the issue is since the other three found my wi-fi right away.
