Higher resolution than the previous version. Detects all of my nocturnal activities from bathroom to snack raids. Doesnt seem to pick up Uncle Don's ghost when he pays a visit but that's a good way to rule out intruders. If something goes bump in the night and the camera hasn't picked up anything i know i can stay in bed and dont have to go all Yosemite Sam on someone! I haven't had to use the intruder intervention feature thankfully but its a nice to have feature.

Amazing camera that was easy to set up. Clean look, no cables, and works perfectly in my detached garage. Love it!

Great video quality and sensor motion, good battery life and connection

I already had one of these cameras, and I saw this was on clearance so I decided why not. I like the battery powered aspect of the camera especially being along the Gulf Coast. My modem/router is on a battery UPS so in a power outage, I still have security. This is a must have if you have the top Simplisafe tier.

This camera belongs to simplisafe’s latest generation of system. Quality is decent when streaming live feeds and it incorporates decently well with your alarm system. If your plan includes it it comes with unlimited cloud storage (huge if burglars destroying your system is a concern) and this camera enables intruder intervention which can result with faster police response times for verified alarms. Considering my plan it was worth adding this at no extra monthly costs. Highly recommend.

Great camera. Easy set-up. Sophisticated feel, modern look.

At best this gets 3 Stars. The picture quality and battery life are excellent but there are no options whatsoever. It's basically record or not record. No time of day/schedule, no automatic power outage recording, no viewing it outside the app and even then despite being on and the privacy flap open, it needs to "wake up the camera" every time. By the time you do that whatever you wanted to see is our of frame. Its only barely better than nothing but not by much.

Exactly what you would expect from SimpliSafe. Great camera. Easy to set up by answering questions. It can be plugged in or run on rechargeable battery. Nice wide and tall view.

I purchased this to put on my kitchen counter to see what is going on when I am not home. It works well with my SimpliSafe security system. I like the fact that it has a lens cover so everyday life is not on camera, which was a major deciding factor when I purchased this. Using the SimpliSafe app on my phone, I am able to check in on my dog. I was told he was misbehaving when I am gone so now, I will see what is really going on. When I talk to him through the camera, I see him looking all over the kitchen for me rather confused. I am impressed with how it works through the Security Center so help can be dispatched. Watch the video on the SimpliSafe web site. Impressive. I originally purchased a corded Ring cam. It was smaller, had a lens cover and a long cord I did not like seeing draped on the counter. The battery Rain indoor cam did have a lens cover accessory that could be purchased from Ring and operated manually. I have a Ring doorbell and outdoor security cams which I like. I returned the Ring camera and went with this much pricier one for the added features and to connect to my indoor control pad.

Love the privacy feature. Having indoor cameras at your house is always difficult - most feel Very intrusive. I like how this one opens the lense when you arm the alarm system, giving us visibility when we are away.

It's better than their first generation indoor cameras. I made sure I had the correct subscription from SS so I can utilize the features of this smart alarm security camera. I asked the SS agent if I can test this camera so they can talk to me from the camera, but the agent said it wasn't possible to test unless I want the police knocking on my door. I don't want to do that because the city might charge me for a false alarm penalty. Video quality is very clear. As I said, it's better than their first generation indoor cameras.

These cameras are noticeably nicer than the outgoing wired cameras. I do wish the WiFi connection worked from a longer distance. My router is in the living room and my camera is in the den (not too far in my split level home) and the connection is sometimes poor. However, more often than not it is always responsive and reliable and always sending timely notifications.

This camera was easy to set up and has a nice picture to it. The 10-foot-long charger cord was a plus as well. My only real critique might be the fact that this camera uses the USB-B connection for charging purposes instead of USB-C.

Pretty nice cameras overall. Really do enjoy The ability for safety team to view the footage when an alarm goes off. They can verify something abnormal and notify the police. The set up was quite challenging on one of the cameras. It did not want to connect. Had to reset the camera multiple times to get the pairing process to finally complete. We have good Wi-Fi. We also have the SimpliSafe base station nearby. It is nice that the camera comes with a charging cord. Would be better if it came with a charging block as well. Or at least the option to add one to the order.
