We switched from Xfinity, what a difference. Easy to set up, quiet door alarm (doesn’t bother the dog). We added on the fire aflame for discount insurance. Really happy with the change.

Overall, it is a good enough unit. I wanted one to put in the garage just for peace of mind. On the plus side it connects to my alarm system and will alert me of a fire even if I am away. The only reason for four stars is that for the cost there really aren't a whole lot of features compared to competitors. For my purpose, it works well enough. Would I want to replace my other smart detectors in the house? No, probably not. Not a bad choice but the cost is a bit high for basically a one trick detector. Brings it down a star but still happy with the unit.

This product is very easy to install. No wiring required. Simply mount the base, twist on the detector, and connect it to a SimpliSafe Gen 3 base station. We have ours in each bedroom, hallway, and den. We use the monitoring service as well, and they will definitely call you if there is something setting it off. The only two downfalls I see to this smoke detector is: 1: There should be a way to say "I'm just cooking" to stop the alarm, and 2: It would be great if it also acted as a carbon monoxide detector as well.

Easily paired with my system. My suggestion is to buy this but somewhere else. The warranty is one year but Best Buy is only on the hook for 2?weeks and SimpliSafe has no record of these sales and there is no warranty allowed

While I already have enough Nest Protects for the house (my top recommendation, overall) I installed a few of these to gain monitored fire protection via my Simplisafe subscription. Nice to get piece of mind that fire services will get dispatched automatically if i'm not home and a fire breaks out.

Works great with the third generation simplisafe alarm. Although freestanding and wireless, it is centrally monitored from base station, with a monthly charge. You can get reduced home owners insurance with monitoring. Installs easily with 2 screws. Each detector can be named.

Product was delivered well packaged. Setup was easy and took no more than 15 minutes to configure and link to the base station and connect to the wireless Wi-Fi hub. Installation was equally easy and took minimum effort. Since installed, the product has operated flawlessly.

I purchased 6 of these for my daughters home and after testing them, they work great! Very happy with my overall purchase of these items aling with several other accessories for her Simplisafe System for her home. Thank You!!
