The best video doorbell we have used! I like that I can see the person at my door!

Bought this item because I already have a SimpliSafe system. The doorbell is responsive and the video is very good. My only criticism is that the vertical field of view is not wide enough to see any packages dropped off at my door. While I do get the motion detection alert and video when the delivery arrives, it would be nice if there was some more flexibility in the mounting. Perhaps more specifically, this replaced an existing wired doorbell, so the location and orientation were already fixed. SimpliSafe did include a bracket to angle to view down a bit, but it was not enough to overcome the angle of my siding, nor did it allow me to move the view side-to-side. I am planning to 3-D print a bracket with holes for mounting and the wires to pass through, but it would be great in future iterations of this bell to include mounting to save me (and those who don't own a 3-D printer) the trouble. Other than that one shortcoming, it's a good item and I would recommend it.

I already have a Simplisafe alarm so this camera was easy to install and integrate into my system. As an existing Simplisafe customer paying their $25 monthly monitoring fee, live and recorded access to the camera is included. It was very easy to install and setup, and I like that I get alerted to both doorbell rings and motion via the phone app. The BestBuy exclusive version of this is a great deal because you can choose the standard white housing or snap on either the green or black faceplates included in the bundle. I had previously installed a Ring door bell and this was easier and much smaller.

Great if you are replacing an existing wired doorbell. Not recommended for adding new system.

Easy to install, though the WIFI connection and setup, if one hiccup took place, could turn an easy and straightforward process into a long supporting call. Fortunately, SimpliSafe tech supports are friendly and helpful. Video quality is great! One complaint is that if something went wrong with the doorbell video camera and a reset is needed, one MUST BE PHYSICALLY at home to perform a hard reset on the device. The HUGE problem is if you're out of town for an extended period, your doorbell remains out of operation until you're back.

Looks very similar to Google Nest doorbell product. Easy to install and setup. Links directly to SimpliSafe system and app. Several settings provide for customization of sensitivity and alerts. Plus, not much larger than a standard doorbell, but much more functionality. Replaces your existing doorbell; hooks up to most wiring in place.

Very good device and very easy to install works perfectly.

The camera is easy to install and works within the SimpliSafe app so you don’t have to add another. Camera picture is adequate but the sound is tinny and quiet for the person outside. We have to talk loudly into our phone to be heard properly. Other than that, it’s great.

Easy to connect, I like that it is wired to the doorbell and does not require a battery. The only problem is that it is not compatible with a chime doorbell only the old fashioned ding dong bell and it doesn’t always wring inside. Picture is HD and it is very clear.

The video quality is good. Night vision is very good as well. Had an issue with sound quality. It was resolved with a hard reset. Works really well now and is sending all motion detection alerts to our cell phones. Night vision sometimes does not engage automatically. A few bugs. But overall is OK.

The installation was a breeze. My wife works from home and enjoys being able to "answer" the door without coming out of her office. Alerts can be a bit distracting, but it is the price you pay to have the security. The doorbell has lost wifi access a couple of times, requiring a simple re-acquisition via the app.

This was so easy to install, that even my Mom could do it without a phone call! Im not saying Mom is not technical, she just doesn't always trust herself to do things like this. If you haven't already done so, the first thing you'll want to do is download and install the free SimplySafe Home Security App from the Google Play Store or the Apple iStore and create an account. It's step-by-step instructions are easy to follow. Once you've done t hff at, make sure the lens on the camera and the screen on your mobile device are clean and free of smudges. The printed instructions that came with it were simple to follow for the physical installation. Once I put the doorbell onto the bracket, it came to life and told me what to do. During this part of the setup, it will have you point the mobile device screen at the camera from about a foot away, so that the camera can read a QR code on the device screen. Since the doorbell camera has no way of communicating to your system, prior to this step, the QR code contains all of the information that you just previously entered into the mobile device, including your Wi-Fi name and password. Three points I'd like to mention here: 1> The doorbell camera will only work with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and it has to be visible, not hidden; 2> This is why the camera lens and mobile device screen need to be clean, and; 3> I found that starting about 4 inches from the camera and slowly pulling it back, until it says it's attempting to connect to Wi-Fi, works better/faster than starting at a foot and slowly closing in. Once it connects to Wi-Fi, you can view live video. If you already have the SimpliSafe alarm and their Interactive monitoring plan ($24.99/mo), you're set to go. That plan includes camera recording and 30 cloud storage for up to 10 cameras per location. If you don't have any monitoring or camera plan (minimum $4.99 for 1 and 9.99 for up to 4 cameras), complete the account setup process to add the video recording a storage as well. The doorbell and camera will work fine for viewing live video without a recording plan, however, it won't be recording that package theft from your front doorstep, only notifying you that someone was there. My findings? Excellent product. Fair price. Excellent monitr/recording plan pricing. The Customer Service goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied!!

Outstanding wifi video doorbell!!! Installation took only minutes and setup was easy! As a part of my Simplisafe Home Security System, recording costs are included with my home system, so no additional charges. Includes different color compatible mounting plates and an anti-theft attachment. Options allow ability to tweak system regarding sensitivity, night time IR, motion detection, notifications, and status light. After careful research, I rank this wifi video doorbell as the BEST compared to competitive brands in terms of quality, cost and value. Enjoy it!

I previously had a August Doorbell Camera product and had plenty of issues. We switched over to Simply Safe (just for the doorbell use, no monthly storage or security monitoring) and have had a great experience so far. It was super easy to set up and get going and we have had zero issues. Would recommend.

The product was easy to install and activated easily with the mobile app. I have set the sensitivity to full to get a reaction to anyone approaching the door but that setting does yield some false notifications. The video quality is excellent. Integrates beautifully with the SimpliSafe alarm system.

The product works as advertised, integrates with the monitoring system easily, and the video/sound is high quality. It has a couple flaws in that it's really thick and fairly large, so a little unsightly once mounted. It likely wouldn't fit on some trim pieces where the existing doorbell is mounted, so measure carefully to ensure you won't be stuck running wires to a different location. There's also a technical issue where the doorbell chime in the house hums fairly loudly as the doorbell unit consumes more electricity than a standard doorbell. SImplisafe has a solution for that issue called a chime connector, but it doesn't come with the doorbell. You have to call support if you have the hum problem, and they'll send you the connector for free if you know enough to ask them for it. I had to go through their customer blogs on their web site to find the solution myself, it's not mentioned in the instructions. Despite these shortcomings it's all working well now and I'm happy with the product.

The SimpliSafe Pro Video Doorbell is a high quality very functional addition to home security. The video quality and audio is very good. It can be installed in just minutes. Weither your in your home, or at a local store, or half way around the world you can see what is taking place in real time what is happening in and around your home. A nice addition to any home security system.
