The Simplisafe Video Doorbell Pro is easy to install and delivers crisp 1080p video. However, when compared with other video doorbells, it’s lacking in a number of areas. For starters, its feature set is far less than what you get with other cameras; you need a subscription to save videos; and it lacks any sort of smart-home integration. If you have a Simplisafe security system, its Video Doorbell Pro could be a good addition. Very easy to install yourself. Amazing picture quality and functionality.

I already had the SS system. It was super easy to install. I normally order from SS but I wanted the doorbell now, luckily my store had it in stock. Very pleased with the camera.

Great doorbell and easy to set up, quality of video is awesome. Had some issues conecting to my wifi but customer service was able to assist.

Easy to install, very straightforward instructions and it was up in working in no time. Our house is newer and suffered from the door bell only going "ding" vs "ding-dong" but Simplisafe sent us the connector in a jiffy and restored our proper doorbell. It does sporadically tell us that someone is there, but there isn't actually anyone there, but... it might just have been a car driving by. We already have the monthly monitoring so it didn't cost us any more per month to have added to our simplisafe system.

The initial install was very easy, with exception the camera would not function. SimpliSafe sent the Doorbell chime connector and still no luck. Then the outstanding customer service sent a replacement. Could not get that one to work either, but the next one sent works great. Just wish it wouldn't have take SimpliSafe 2x to send camera to get one that worked.

We already have SimpliSafe and adding it by the app was very easy. My only complaints are the motion notification can be up to 2 minutes late. Speaking to someone through the doorbell with the app doesn’t work exactly great. The sound can be choppy and garbled. But other than that the picture in day or night is crispy clear.

Great edition to the SimpliSafe system. Easy to install, great quality of video. I hope they can eventually speed up the back end of notifications and playback from recent motion detection.

I added this to my existing security system. It was easy to install and easy setup. Glad it came with different color skins. The camera is clear and audio is fine as well

Quality of the video is best and the design is perfect

I purchased this item to add to my Simplisafe system. It can also be an outdoor camera. It detects outside movement and notifies me on my cell phone app. It was easy to install not like the google nest. They also included the wedge which is needed if your doorbell is parallel to your door.

Great doorbell camera but honestly the ring camera is better when it comes to talking to someone at the door and monitoring live feeds

The design is ver sleek and aesthetically appealing but it functions like trash. There have been several times it didn’t detect a person knocking on my door. The night vision quality is absolute trash compared to the ring doorbell. The night quality is extremely grainy and only available in black and white. I’m contrast, the daytime quality looks incredible! But again, it doesn’t pick up all motion. It’s very sporadic and which is odd considering I have an amazing Wi-Fi connection with google fiber. I actually have 3 different routers in my home, one of which is right near the doorbell camera. I’m returning the doorbell camera as well as the outdoor cameras and alarm. They all suck. The mobile doesn’t automatically livestream all of your devices. You have to click each device individually (doorbell, camera 1, 2, 3, etc. to get the most up to date feed unlike ring. The cameras don’t differentiate between a person or other motion. Which was helpful with ring bc I paid more attention to alerts that said “person” vs. “motion”. The app sucks as does everything else, especially customer service.

The Simplisafe video doorbell works pretty well have some issues with it staying connected to Wi-Fi the night vision element could be a little better also it is very sensitive to vehicles that drive-by even on the lowest sensitivity setting it picks up certain vehicles I’m all the way to the road and alert she’ll

Since I have Simplisafe system, set was easy. One feature is not as affective, skipping cars going by versus people near door. else easy notification on simplisafe app. live video is good, can rotate for full screen on smartphone. Fyi needs wires, some options online for transformer with correct voltage.
