The sound machine works ok. My daughter likes it.
I don't think all the knobs do anything and there are 4 of them. They dont seem to change how loud the mic is compared to the backround music or the echo or any thing else. They are just there for looks as far as I can tell.
We also thought the lights would strobe or do more than they do. They just get darker and lighter when you turn the knob. We just leave it on the brightest setting.
For an inexpensive machine it is OK

Bought this for my son for Christmas this year and wanted to try it out before I wrapped it up. It looks actractive, lights look very cool and are a nice added touch. The sound is terrible. You have to almost eat the mic to be able to hear yourself. You have to stand way back to avoid the terrible screeching sound of the mic. The CD door that is on top is hard to open, kids will have a hard time trying to open the CD door. The only thing I liked were the neat looking disco lights. If you are looking for a descent karaoke machine, don't waste your moeny on this. If you are looking for cool looking disco lights, go for it... it's perfect for that. I returned this to the store and found a GPX karaoke. Not as attractive but is a much better karaoke machine and sounds wonderful.

Got it in time for a Christmas Karaoke Party with a program at our Parks Department. They had lots of fun with it...and it does connect to the television to run through the speakers. The second microphone could have been purchased at the store, I believe. It arrived after the party...but we will surely enjoy having the second mic.
Lots of folks have asked us where we got it...so we told them!
