Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since the antenna is exposed to the elements, eventually each one of my antennas wore a tiny hole exposing the metal twisted wire. This was enough to make it konk out, esp in the rain or snow. Unfortunately I really like my radio- I drive a lot and tire of my iPod- so I suck it up and buy another each time. I dont' know if I would "recommend this item to a friend," as it depends on how important that radio is to you.

No, not because it is so great but because it will fault on you and you will have to buy another antenna. This in my third antenna! I guess that they will keep it this way- why produce a better one when you guarantee continued repeat sales? Look for an alternative.

After two or three rainfalls, the ability to acquire signal dropped drastically. First thing in the morning, it takes close to 5 minutes to receive signal and then it drops with underpasses, tree cover, etc.
