Bought this item and installed it myself. Installation was fairly easy, but would depend on type of car. Would recommend that you read all the instructions before beginning since in one of the later steps it tells you to hold off on completing the first step for easier installation. Did take quite a while to activate since the hold time was very long. Only negative I have found so far is the number buttons are a little small for my big fingers so not that easy for me to change channels.

If you are looking for a basic, no frills satellite radio, this is it. I wanted a small radio I could use both in my house and in my car. This model was very inexpensive ($19.99) and easy to set up. Within 5 minutes I had it connected and my subscription activated. The radio has worked well and exceeded my expectations.

Would not find satellite signal. Found a bad connection in the end of the antenna wire. Pushed and pulled it a few times and re-positioned wire harness and that seamed to work.

This radio plays through the FM frequencies of your existing car radio. Choose one which has no local broadcast. The XM radio is compact so it allows many mounting locations. The radio also has a docking station available which allows it to be taken out of the vehicle and used outdoors or in buildings where the antenna can be used near a window.

We bought this for our truck that didn't come with an internal satellite radio. We drove cross country with it. The reception was good. Too many wires to connect the power, antenia, and hook up to the radio. The channel selection buttons are tiny. The screen is very small and can be difficult to read. A remote control to change stations would be a plus.

I love that with this radio you get a variety of channels for people of all interests. It is nice easy small and compact that it is easily out of the way of anything when it is hooked up on the docking system. The only thing I would like to see in the future is possibly a docking system that is able to move with the radio and doesn't have to be put in one spot.

Basic radio if you need another xm radio. I purchased it a s a backup radio and really wanted the universal vehicle kit. The orientation of wire terminations are better/different at the cradle than a standard vehicle kit I found on the market at basically the same price.

It's an alright radio, except I've had a hard time keeping the antenna plugged in, it has a tendency to back out and doesn't like staying connected! The Sirius subscription is a bit on the high side in my opinion!

My car is now Sirius XM capable and it was so easy and cheap. The Onyx Dock and Play was easy to set-up, great reception. I even bought a home dock and play that plugs into my Bose radio in the house. All this for one Sirius subscription. Simple to transfer from car to home and back!!

I can take it everywhere. I bought this for my work car and bought an extra dark to mount it in my pick up truck and another amount on my Harley. One unit and I have satellite radio everywhere I go. Works well And if you don't have an auxiliary plug-in you can stream it over a FM radio channel

Bought for my husband for Father's Day. He was a bit skeptical of the XM docking station & speakers when he saw the price. BUT when he heard the sound he was impressed and played it all afternoon. He even listened to the 'Old Time Radiio' to test it out, along with various music stations. It' going on vacation with us.
