I bought this radio for my girlfriend for Christmas. Easy to install great sound thru vehicle speakers easy to use

This equipment is great and I wouldn't be without, but if you have satellite in another car, definitely know the difference. I strongly encourage pro install. My tech was knowledgeable, courteous and answered all my questions. Spent time going over install location and how to operate. All was timely and efficient! This is fine equipment if you don't have factory install satellite.

My fiance was excited with this siriusxm radio for his birthday. We hooked it up in his work truck and had it playing in a matter of about 20 min. Locked in all of his favorite channels and he was jamming on our highways the very next morning. The only problem being that the magnetic antenna piece would not stick to his aluminum cab.... a lttle dab of silicone and all is well.

Very nice unit! Easy to see from a distance. It is also very simple for my wife to operate.

I had satellite radio years ago with a receiver then on a car I had and traded in. I don't usually like what's on the regular radio. I missed satellite and I had been contemplating this purchase for a while. My favorite stations on SiriusXM play songs I like so I can always find something. It was easy to install and I did it myself using the instructions. I am so glad I finally gave in and got the radio for programming I thoroughly enjoy.

Bought this for my girlfriend for Xmas. She loves it! Installation took me about 2 hours from start to finishing activation to my account (very type A about the wiring). I was able to easily add her deck to my existing account with no issues. Deck looks wonderful and is easy for her to operate and remove when she is not in her car. Definitely worth what little money it costs if your vehicle doesn't come equipped with a factory XM radio.

I love the display with the album covers. The sound quality is great and there are no commercials

This satellite radio is awesome. From the album art to the ticker I love this radio and would absolutely recommend it to any and everyone. The feature I love is by state you are give the best radio station to stream your music through. This makes it much simpler and it plays crystal clear. There are lots more features on it that I am having a great time learning about. I love is so much!!!

Great product, easy set-up, easy to use, great display.

This unit is a great purchase. Bought this unit to replace an older Sirius model that had finally died. Very happy with the purchase. Easy to install, unit looks great, controls are easy to use. Only negative things are there is no remote control with this package, have to buy the home docking kit to get one, and the FM Tuner range doesn't go below 90.1. Other than that a great unit for anyone wanting SiriusXM radio!

Taking music wherever you go! My husband loves this. He can easily move it to different vehicles and heavy equipment he operates. Easy to use.

It works as described. Adds satellite radio capabilities to a car that doesnt have one. Love the size of the screen which is easy to read. Can’t give it 5 stars due to the setup. It requires you to wire an antenna somewhere it can pick up signal and also the power cord. Unless you have a stereo shop pro install it, you’ll have wires somehow running around inside your car.

It was very easy to install, easy to hide all the wires. It is easy to use, easy to understand the installation instructions. I'm listening to this device on a high definition radio and it sounds awsome. I just wish it came with a remote but for the price it's great

Was using an older "XMSkyFi2" portable receiver and really liked the pause-jump ahead-rewind buffering capability and general overall performance. I listen to a lot of sports programming which still has commercials and this function generally allows me to pause (while I'm off doing something else) and then come back and skip commercials as I listen. The older unit began to randomly power on and off a while back, but I couldn't find a replacement with that pause function until the Onyx Plus came out. After two months it has been working fine. The color graphics and screen layout are a major upgrade. It is an all push button control which replaces a function wheel. The buttons are smaller and more difficult to find, but I had problems at time with the old wheel so I feel they are an upgrade also. Otherwise it seems to have all of the functionality of the older SkyFi2. The biggest problem so far has been using the "PowerConnect" function for routing the output through the car FM receiver. The Onyx Plus has an output option if the audio reciever you are using has an auxillary input source jack and that would probably work great. My car does not have this aux input, so I planned to use the "PowerConnect" function which outputs the signal through an unused channel on the car's FM radio. This function does work but it is not as strong as the SkiFi2 and does not "overpower" as many weak FM stations, so if you are living in an area with a lot of FM stations you may have trouble finding one clear enough to accept the Onyx Plus receiver. Also, you must use the supplied power cord and it must be plugged directly into the 12v receptacle. I initially used the old SkiFi2 power adapter and plugged it into a 12 v receptacle splitter that I had been using, and got terrible reception even on FM channels that didn't seem to have a station. I was to the point of taking it back when I checked the online troubleshooting guide (you only get quick start documentation with the unit). It says that - unlike the SkiFi2 - the FM "PowerConnect" works through the electrical system and that it may not work if you use a receptable splitter (or do not use the supplied power cord). When I corrected these issues, the unit then worked fine - though again - it is not as powerful as the older SkiFi2 and I still have to look around more for a clear FM channel. Unfortunately my car has only one 12v receptable, so this now means I can't use the multiple outlet splitter I had been using to power my GPS or cell phone charger. Bottom line is that you cannot plan on using the FM connection option unless you have a dedicated 12 v receptacle on your car. They do sell a "FM Direct Adapter" separately which basically creates an Aux Input for your car radio by splicing a connection into the antenna line - but you'll have to pull out the car radio to install (or have it "professionally installed" as recommended in the online user manual). At this point I either have to do that or buy a new car that has an aux input or multiple 12v receptables! So far I have tested it only in a car - they do sell a home adapter kit to use with a home stereo receiver but I can't comment on that. It's a fine unit but you need to be aware of its connection limitations and make sure it works for your situation.

I purchased this radio for my wife's car and I couldn't be happier. I have an older Sirius radio in my car with the pause/rewind feature, but this one is so much better. The display screen on this is great. I love the full color display, and I love the feature that starts the song at the beginning when you change the it to that channel. It's a very nice radio. I highly recommend it!

It was very easy to install, I had purchased 2 of these units for 2 of our vehicles.Purchasing the optional12v power kit so I could relocate the power supply made the installation look very professional.Very well thought out and well designed.
