I think it could have been better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I drive our older vehicle for my daily commute because it gets such great gas milage compared to our other vehicles. That said the radio is basically just a FM radio because I hate always having to dig out my phone, turning on an app etc. to use the AUX plug which my stock radio does have, and then having to remember my phone when exiting the SUV. I understand that a lot of my issue is just me being goofy and not just putting in an aftermarket radio, but I cannot bring myself to put that kind of monetary / time investment into this automobile. When presented with this product, I jumped at the chance to upgrade my listening environment with truly little effort. Out of the box setup is quick and super easy. I was apprehensive about having to install the magnetic antenna mount because I am not mechanically inclined but found the informational pamphlet easy to follow and had it rigged up in about 5 minutes. I did set up a subscription because I am not new to SiriusXM, but I would highly recommend if you are new, to take advantage of the free monthly trials out there to see if it is a good fit or which package works best for you. We own a Jeep, and my wife had a subscription but with having a short commute to work (5-minute drive) for her she let it lapse several months ago. I went with a single payment year deal that SiriusXM had emailed me about a week just before so I may update my review as well in time. Next, I mounted the docking station and plugged in the cords as instructed and Bing bang boom, I was listening to my SiriusXM. The radio is a touch slow to connect meaning it takes almost two minutes to start playing each time... each time! However, when it does get going, the sound quality and stream quality are awesome. My daily drive takes me 20 minutes outside of the city and the radio quality has never lacked. The streaming is cool too but with so many streaming products that are free it is hard for me to comment on this because I think "Hey product XYZ is free with ads, why am I having to pay?". But as for the satellite radio I think this is a fair request and for the price I receive an awesome mix of items to listen to like Punk Rock, R&B, Howard Stern, ESPN, and House music stations. That again come in crystal clear & without interruption. After using the product for a bit now I will say that I really like it, but I think they left money on the table perse or at least consumer concern. We live in a world where almost any device can be used on multiple platforms and can easily connect to one another. Well, not the Tour!!!! This is why I gave this device three stars and really the only reason. The unit has a microusb port but will not operate without the dock. My dock does disconnect, and I could bring it in and out, but I mean come on. Again, if the tour would let the Wi-Fi feature connect and operate the unit with a paired Bluetooth speaker or something. I would have given it 6 stars. But anytime a company tries to isolate themselves and their products, I just get irritated. So, my Tour 360 is more like a Tour 180 as in to and from work. Again, I like it and will use it and if your situation is similar to mine it might be a great fit for you too.

Perfect Option for Satellite Radio
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SiriusXM - Tour Satellite Radio Receiver with 360L Vehicle Kit is simply outstanding. It has everything you need to bring premium satellite radio into your vehicle with a easy installation. It includes a mounting kit and all connections required to integrate with your vehicle's audio system. As an added bonus you have voice controls which are really neat so you don't have to take you hands and eyes off the road to select your favorite station. You can also steam music through the unit using wifi and bluetooth. Just in case your car does not have streaming capabilities, the SiriusXM - Tour Satellite Radio Receiver makes it possible. The sound quality is amazing. Very clear and uninterrupted. I have traveled to a few remote areas with the unit and the signal remains strong and stations come in clear as a bell. I highly recommend the SiriusXM - Tour Satellite Radio Receiver with 360L Vehicle Kit. It will certainly enhance your listening experience.

Still the same
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good: You have many additional options over a standard SiriusXM radio with the touch screen. If your car doesn’t have a touch screen radio this essentially can make your car radio have more music and Bluetooth options. The bad: setup is still the same as it has been for years. I thought with all this updated technology on the radio I wouldn’t need all these mess cables. I had to install an antenna which the cable came pre tangles and took me 10 minutes just to untangle. A huge cigarette style power cord. I’m not sure why they couldn’t also provide a usb charger as well. The cigarette adapter is so large it actually took the place where I was going to put the SiriusXM radio. The third cable was the AUX. Now my car does have Bluetooth and so does this new SiriusXM radio but it would not connect to my car no matter how many times I tried. This is why I had to have a third cable. Now as you can imagine eventhough i took the time to hide all the cables and organize, it’s still a mess looking up front with this radio. Mounts include a permanent adhesive mount. A screw mount (yes why don’t you just screw it right to your cars dashboard??) and a more common vent mount. In my opinion they all look like a mess so I didn’t use any and just put it a storage like cubby in my center console. The thing is a mess and is embarrassing come on SiriusXM! This cannot stay in my car unless I want people to make fun of me. Looks like I never left the early 2000s.

In the market for Sat Radio?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the internet age fully upon us, it's good to see SXM start offering radios with streaming built in. This is an especially good pick for those that drive a lot, or find themselves in a more rural location with little service options available. The included accessories are really catered for vehicle use, but if you have a home dock, you can easily add this to your home stereo for proper listening, or just login to the online service for streaming with your subscription. Included in the box are two vehicle mounts (vent and adhesive style) with mount screws, the satellite antenna, a vehicle power cord, and the manual. The quick setup guide, built into the radio interface, makes setup a breeze. It walks you through proper signal using the included satellite antenna, and connecting to WiFi (hotspot required) was just as quick. The radio ID is then given to you, and you can simply add the radio to your account. A quick "refresh" and you're ready to hit the road. I found the touch screen responsive, bluetooth connection was stable during use, and I didn't lose signal once while driving around the metro area. Once you're done with driving, undocking the unit is easy, and allows you to take it inside and use the online streaming service; assuming you have a home dock. Since the radio ID is tied to your account, there isn't any extra steps required to login, just make sure you're connected to the right WiFi network. Tuning is as easy as swiping to the channel, or using the direct dial option. Where this device really shines is the online connectivity. When you lose satellite signal, the device simply asks if you'd like to switch to streaming in order to continue playing content. It also offers recommended playlists curated by Pandora and on-demand content based on your listening choices over time. You'll also have access to additional channels, that are exclusively available online. There is so much content added via the online connectivity, you start to wonder why you waited so long to upgrade from your older tuner. While the tuner does offer pausing, rewinding, fast forwarding, etc, you'll find there is a limit on the amount of times you can do this. Once you hit that limit, you're essentially limited to live content for upwards of an hour on the current station, or the on-demand content you're listening to. Once you change channels, the limit is removed for the new station(s) or content, but you'll hit that limit on those as well. However, my favorite feature has to be "TuneStart." Easy way to explain, is that FOMO feeling you get when you tune in to your favorite channel, only to find that your favorite song was playing. When connected online, at least in my use, you get the option to start a track from the beginning, and not miss a thing, but is limited to streaming. There is also a "StartOver" option, which will the content over, but is only really available for certain content. The built in alerts will notify you, via a small banner, that a favorite artist is playing on a different station or if your favorite team is playing and it's available on a sports channel. This feature works whether you're streaming or listening over satellite. If even gives you a button to tap to switch the channel to listen. Customizing the alerts was also easy, using the preferences menu. The built in Voice search made searching for content a bit easier. You can use the Voice to simply tune to a specific station, artist, or song. The screen then displays the options available for the search, or simply performs the tune you requested. I found the search helpful, as it either found the specific song on another station, or would recommend a Pandora playlist based on the search criteria. If you're still in the market for a SXM tuner, this is a solid choice. The setup and installation is incredibly easy, and there is enough station variety to satisfy anyone looking for more entertainment options. Overall, the newer interface is a huge upgrade compared to my older SXM unit (it only had a turn dial), and while the audio still feels slightly lower than (or on par with) HDRadio), you get a lot more variety.

Not Great, Not Terrible
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This SiriusXM Satellite Radio has plenty of entertainment to keep you entertained in the car, but this is something I cannot get behind. While I did find the satellite radio, Pandora, and real-time updates for my favorite sports teams exciting and useful. This satellite radio isn’t any different than connecting your phone to your car via Bluetooth or aux cable. Many applications on your phone already provide this kind of functionality. The only reason I see people using this radio is for a better radio quality, voice search function, and the touch screen display. I can see semi drivers using this but besides them, I would not recommend this radio to the average commuter. The screen is beautiful but does have a bit of a delay. As others have mentioned, there is also the problem with the slow boot-up and the short 90-day warranty. Price can be lower as well. I’m thinking in the 80 to 100 dollar range.

Could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d give it more stars if it didn’t take so long to boot up and if it had a chargeable battery to run without being plugged in. Other than that it works fine. I bought the home kit so I could plug it in to an outlet and use it outside. It’s great for that.

Radio on the go
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This kit has it all for on the go radio needs! It took all of 15 minutes to get up and going after creating the account. Was easy to install in the truck and get playing music. This is the ideal solution for high quality tunes on the go. Plus I was able to bring the dock inside and play my music through device!

A little troublesome installing, but it works well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to finally try streaming satellite service. Radio in my city is awful. I opened the box and everything you need for your car installation is right there. Antenna, power cable, acc cable, two mounting brackets, the housing for the unit, and the unit itself. I had a little difficulty installing this to be honest, and it is the reason I am taking a star from this product. My windshield doesn't have weather stripping or anything to tuck the antenna wire under, I had to run it through the little gap at the edge of my windshield and I used a little adhesive every foot or so to stick it down. Then, trying to tuck it into the weather stripping in the door jamb wasn't very effective either. I had to use a little tape. Once the antenna is in the cabin, the rest is a breeze. I have a very rough dashboard and nothing sticks to it so I didn't ever try to secure the adhesive mount. Also, my ac vents run vertically, so I couldn't use the vent mount. I just rest the housing in my center console and that works for me. After installation, startup and connecting is a breeze. I set up my account and I started using it. The signal is good, I love the variety of stations. The content is worth the monthly fee. I am going to add my wife's car to the account because she is now jealous, lol! Sirius is a great product, and this unit is worth the price, in my opinion.

A neat bare necessity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our 2009 vehicle has Satellite radio built in but we never paid for the service. It's not something that we never needed but it was a nice convenience. It was never seen as a necessity. Barely. This Tour Satellite Radio Receiver, is something I didn't know that I would 'barely' need. I don't see myself not having this honestly. Even with connecting my phone via Bluetooth and listening to music or podcasts, this Sirius device gives you another dimension in your car ride experience. One thing that always intrigued me was the clarity of satellite radio in general. It's always so clear and crisp as if I'm listening to a CD. I like how it's simple, but also sophisticated. It's a very easy and clean UI to navigate through that my parents can figure it out even though they're not technologically savvy. Again, this is something that you may not need necessarily, but once you have it, you'll be like, "Alright, this is a pretty cool convenience to have. I can dig it."

Bringing streaming radio to an old car
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this because it allowed us to add Siruis radio with voice control to our old delivery van without changing the radio. Also you can use your smartphone to stream music. We used the fm transmitter which is pretty good for what it is. I feel like this is good if you want a dedicated streaming player you can take anywhere vs an app on your phone. Cons are there are very little uses for this with today’s modern cars.

Radio I can work with
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Radio was the beginning of entertainment. And this is its pinnacle. This particular model comes with a car kit to install but you can also take the unit and put it in a boombox sold separately or A unit that you can attach to your home theater system if you have a home theater system. I have professionals install the car kit and I'm happy. I got great reception and connection. I'm probably going to buy the boombox next. And I just can't say enough good things. Obviously my favorite is the comedy channel. 24/7 laughs. Just awesome.

I'm an XM radio junkie and I don't like this one
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a current XM radio subscriber and have been for as many years as Sirius and XM have been around. It's been over 20 years now and in the early days I had both, then when they merged, I continued on with the XM radio line, and here we are today. A new radio launch is long overdue and one with the features this has are very much appreciated. One feature missing is the ability to record songs you hear, and that missing feature is something that is a deal breaker for me. Why? You pay a royalty fee for your service, which means the artists that play get paid. If I cannot record favorite songs, knowing they get paid, I'm not interested in this radio. Yes you can listen to recorded shows that have occurred, or even the online only shows, through WIFI or your phone's hotspot. I like this. But not being able to record a library of music to play what I want to hear when offline, means I'll stick with my old radios that allow this to happen. As for the radio unit itself, I wanted to like it so much. I'm from the camp that says a device used in a car should be used for what it was designed to do. Like a radio. A radio is a device for listening to music in the car. A GPS is for directions in the car. This radio was going to be used in my wife's Mercedes GLA-250 with the high end audio/NAV/etc. system. Using a phone for these things is not my idea of technology at it's best. Set the radio. Get the GPS started. And plug in the phone, for phone calls. That is how I do a trip. So I had high hopes for this new radio. Once you remove the film from the screen, the touchscreen is buggy and not very sensitive to touch. It is more of a distraction than anything else and having to press and view what you pressed actually worked, and then double check to be sure it worked, is a serious disappointment. I found the taps were different at different screens for different things. When driving, looking down or over to a radio that has a temperamental screen, at certain times and things, that is too much for me to deal with while driving. In addition to this frustration, I was unable to get this to play audio through bluetooth in the Mercedes. That might sound a bit odd, given the elaborate system in the Mercedes, however, it is true it doesn't work. I wanted to use it in her car because the Sat radio in the Mercedes, sounds like junk. I don't know if you noticed this on your car Sat radio or not, but some cars have Sat radios that sound horrible. The Mercedes is one of them. So this would have sounded much better, true. But not if I could not connect via bluetooth because I'm not playing it through the FM radio modulator that this does have for older cars, and I'm not running an aux radio cable either, I'm trying to hide wires and not add more to the mix. Not sure why it would not PLAY via bluetooth but it did connect. I went though everything and no luck. No help from Mercedes Tech support. And XM tech support was not available either. However, I do know, if it connects and doesn't play, no tech is going to help me get through it if I cannot figure it out. Even more interesting, is that the CHECK FOR FIRMWARE UPDATES feature would not work, despite being successfully connected to WIFI. That seems odd, right? So, I tried again and again, with no luck. So, unfortunately I'm not going to recommend this radio unless you are the kind that sets the channel and never changes it while driving. I tried the voice feature, and that was just hanging up with no feedback except it timed out. Also note, the radio randomly rebooted multiple times. So I never even got the point I could activate this radio and could not use it to sign into my multiple online accounts without doing an activation. That doesn't seem fair, however, if I want to do that I can and will just sign in on the app on my phone and use their app to listen to the online only channels, my phone does connect and play through bluetooth. This goes against what I said earlier, which is why I'm so disappointed. .

Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its been 9 months since i bought this crap unit..and btw i had to return the first one...1st it looses my stored favorite channels about once every 2 weeks, then i have to scroll through the dreadfully slow interface to reprogram them. The scroll feature will cause you to crash if you try to scroll through your channels while driving. It takes several swipes when you try to scroll using the touch screen..i get a different interface randomly sometimes it will display the song playing sometimes just the artist and sometimes just the station..depends on how the unit is feeling that day...sometimes you click to the song you like.."great my jam" nope...it skips ahead 10 seconds plays 3 seconds skips ahead 10 seconds plays 3 seconds ect. Ect. and your 4 minute song is done in 30 seconds..very frustrating...the unit takes a minimum of 2 minutes to start up...
