    Uncomfortable Headphones

Sound quality wasn’t all that outstanding to me, and the comfort was bad. There are hard protrusions inside the earcups over the driver that stick out and hit my ears, causing a lot of pain and discomfort. I couldn’t even continue wearing them for long before getting a headache.

    Just Buy The Hesh ANC

Dude, I've had these for a day, and honestly, I'm bummed. I'm comparing them to the Hesh ANC, which is also Skullcandy, and I just can't see spending the extra cash on these when the price difference is so huge. Both have ANC, and the sound is pretty similar. Yeah, the head tracking, spatial audio, better battery, and water resistance on the Aviator 900 are cool, but it's not enough. The Hesh are more comfy. The Hesh still last over 20 hours, so are you really gonna use all that in one day? I think the bass on the Hesh is better and not as overdone. The EQ on the Aviator is okay, but the settings don't sound that different. The head tracking is cool, but it's a bit much sometimes. If you take them off, the music stops. If you turn your head, the sound shifts. And if you bend over, the music stops, even if they're still on your head. The spatial audio sounds good sometimes, but it's not consistent. The sound resets when I close the Skullcandy app, and the spatial audio disappears. Not what you want from $300 headphones. The bass is weak, and if you use the bass mode, it just sounds forced and distorts the audio. The ear pads aren't as soft as the old Aviators, but they're still good for long use! Overall, these feel like a hyped-up product because of the tech features, but they don't justify the price. Just get the Hesh ANC and save your money if you don't care about all the fancy stuff.

First time writing a review to here goes nothing. Straight out the box a sleek and yet well designed heaphones with a bag carrier (which I liked). The noise cancellation is so much better then recent products I have used and the volume output and base is still there with previous generations so very pleased with the product. Now pricing wise is it worth the $324 (with tax) i would say yes if you have the money and want an upgrade but if you wait for it to be $250 I would say that would be better to snag the headphones. Overall I an pleased with the product.

I’ll lead with I’ve wanted a pair of Aviators since before the originals were discontinued, so I was already sold on getting these when I saw they came out. With that, they certainly do not disappoint! The audio quality is crystal clear, EQ setting pending. The Bass Boost setting can really muddy the audio depending on how bass heavy the song is. However, after downloading the Skullcandy application, I highly recommend you complete the Personalized Audio Test, it makes a HUGE difference! The bass is hearty, the mids are full, and the highs are clear. The preset EQs don’t quite measure up to the Custom EQ you can change via the app, but they are nice for a quick switch if you hop into a voice call or decide to boot up a game. These are the most expensive pair of headphones I own, and they definitely sound like it! I also own a pair of Crusher 360’s, and while the bass on the Crusher line will always be unmatched, Id wager the overall clarity and balance on the Aviator’s is certainly superior. So, in the end, it really just depends on what is more important to you, bone jarring bass, or goosebump-inducing melodies heard like never before!
