Right out of the box, one earbud was defective - no sound. Stay away from the $10 phones. For $20, the quality goes way up.

They get the job done. And seal up good enough I don't have to hear mutants arguing about politics with the voices in their head. They have a defect that usually causes them to have to be replaced under warranty, this is my second pair.

Good quality, poor construction. I use my headphones 5 days a week, they were great at first but after 3 weeks they began to cut out on the left side, then the mic button stopped working, then you had to jiggle the cord to keep the left side working, then it finally cut out completely. 1 week later the right started to do the same, brought them back and swapped them for a fresh pair. Moderate use should not defect the product, flimsy construction leads to kinked leads.

I purchased these for my daughter. They sound quality was good. Unfortunately, they stopped working. I contacted Skullcandy and receive a new pair free of charge. I did have to return the defective headphones to Skullcandy.

I like skull candy ear buds as they have good sound and great fashionable colors, but always seem to have one ear bud go outon them, I have purchased several pairs and had one ear bud go out on 3 different sets. Can't exchange due to 15 day no return/exchange policy. All I wanted was to exchange them. Best Buy tells you to contact Skull Candy.....Come to find out, you have to go through this huge ordeal of mailing your defective earphones to Australia!!!! It's cheaper just to buy another pair.

The quality of the sound is pretty good considering the inexpensive cost of earphones. They are relatively comfortable and stylish. However, one of the earbuds stopped working after only 2 months of use. Luckily these come with a lifetime warranty, so I was able to have it replaced. Unfortunately the shipping cost of sending the defective earphones to Skullcandy is borne by the customer.

I've had Skull Candy headphones in the past and loved them. The one I purchased recently works, but has a constant static-like noise coming through them whenever I plug it into any device. It might be a fluke, so I'm looking into returning them and getting a new pair. Definitely SC because I like they're products. Again, this one I'm sure is just defective. I still love the company.

I bought these to use with my Samsung Galaxy and, right out of the pack, they were defective. The connector wasn't snug enough in my phone port so sound only came from one side of the earbuds instead of both. If I pressed the connector in further, twisted it around some, and held it in place then both sides worked but as soon as I let it go, it stopped working on both sides and again only worked on one side; the side with the control on it. I've other earbuds (JVC, Sony, Samsung) and have no problem with them working correctly with my phone so I know it's not my phone. I've also purchased these SkullCandy Ink'd earbuds before and have never had a problem with them so I know they'll also work with my phone, if they're not defective. .....I called Skullcandy and the guy I talked to wasn't the least bit concerned with my problem, or the fact that they were manufacturing a defective product. $10 product or $100 product, a customer is a customer. I've worked all my life dealing with people. His attitude likely costs the company more than a few customers. I won't purchase their brand again. Lastly, the 'product features' states that these come with "...3 different-size silicone ear gels..." when actually they only come with 2 different-size silicone ear gels: small and medium. I use the large, and they no longer include them with the earbuds. Overall, if they worked, I would say this was a good deal but since the design seems to be defective, and it's a pain to have to return them, I won't risk buying this brand again. Skullcandy used to offer a Lifetime Guarantee. Now its just 2 years. I'll stick with my JVCs. They're cheap too but I've had them for several years now and they're still working great!

I'm not a fan of these at all. The past few years I've been purchasing SkullCandy headsets, mainly because I keep losing mine, not because of a defect. I lost the earbud to one of mine and went to purchase a new pair and they only had these. The buds don't fit as well and the sound is no where near what they used to be. These look so cheap compared to the old style (which were the exact same price). Unfortunately, I'll be returning these and buying a different brand. They are only $20, and I used to get them on sale for $10 and people might say you get what you paid for... But the old style were phenomenal... I returned $50 Sony headphones to buy another pair of the old style, so I'm bummed Skull Candy made so many changes to them.
