Good Ear Buds For The $$, But....

I was using the new style Apple earbuds that came with my iPod Nano but they hurt my ears so bad and kept falling out...I think my ear canals are too small for them to fit correctly. The new Apple earbuds have an amazing sound and deep bass, when they stayed in, and I wanted to try to find some that were more comfortable with comparable sound without paying out the rear for them. These earbuds are very comfortable as I was able to use the smallest silicone buds for a better fit but as for sound, they're a little lacking. I've tried adjusting the EQ on my iPod hoping for a better bass sound and not so much of a reverby, blaring sound but they just don't compare to the Apple buds. With all this being said, they will definitely work in a pinch and they are better than listening to nothing when I go on my early morning walks! I have used these while on my iPad and they sound decent and prob would be using on your computer too. The price is unbeatable and I do recommend these if you are just looking for a decent, stylish pair of buds that will get the job done and you don't care about sound quality and just want to listen to music, etc. But for me, I have since ponied up a bit more dough and bought the Skullcandy 50/50's and they are quite better as far as sound and noise reduction.

These In-ear headphones are only 20 bucks and who wouldn't buy these at that price. The sound quality is amazing since they are Earbud headphones, and it acts as a....kind of suction cup for your ears, and it actually cancels sound, ALOT. I used to use these for everything, music, video, and everyday use on my laptop. The single, one and only problem that I had with these headphones is how long it lasted. The First Skullcandy Ink'd i had was....well the first one before these, and those lasted a little over 2 months. This however lasted less than 2 months, probably about a little over 1 month and i know because i kept track to see if it was better or worse. But it isnt worse than its previous version these have really good sound and good bass too but unless you wanna spend 20 dollars every 2 months for these get something that lasts longer. I heard that the Apple Earpods last long and i dont own them, but a friend i know has had his pair since last year.

i have always liked the Skull Candy Inkd line. they provide good sound for the price, i have always liked the amount of bass these little guys packed, this is my second pair in about 2 weeks though. One day i was listening to music, took the headphones out and stopped using them for like 3 hours and when i put them back in one of the sides just stopped working (right side.) So be weary of that, but i was able to get a new pair really quick, as i live close to BestBuy and as soon as the problem occurred i went in and they just checked me out a new pair, because i had Geeksquad protection. So yeah i would recommend these, but i would add a protection plan with them, because it gives you a piece of mind, i didn't even have to re-purchase the protection plan when i get a new pair, and it's still active so if these break i think i can just go back in again.

I bought these after my Sennheiser HD428s broke (very very high quality headphones, got tons of usage out of them) and didnt have enough money to buy a replacement pair. They are the most comfortable in-ear headphones I've worn, and the cable is thicker, so it should last longer in theory. Performance wise, the bass is overwhelming every other part of my music save the vocals, which I don't really care for bass in the first place, (#treble4lyf) but its almost to a point where it's not even enjoyable to listen to my favorite songs, even on reduced bass EQ. I guess if you enjoy bassy songs, you'll enjoy these. To each their own, this obviously isn't mine. I remember i spent an extra $7 on a pair of Koss earbuds that were superior in every aspect to these, however I don't know the model of said earphones. If you find them, buy them, the extra money is definitely worth it.

The first time I bought a Skull candy mobile headset was at an airport on my way to good ole' Las Vegas. It was a spur of the moment purchase and not cheap. After trying them out in just a few minutes I was impressed with the sound. They were the RED colored pair. Unfortunately they didn't last as the cord eventually gave out over just several months. Fast forward after the first pair crashed I bought another at a Staples store. They too wore out quickly as the cord is poorly made. A couple of months ago I decided to give Skull Candy one more try. Only this time I bought them at Best Buy and got an extended warranty. If the suckers give out at least I'm covered for the next two years. Unless of course I lose them. In any case, sound wise they are pretty good, but the durability stinks. If you do buy any Skull Candy products purchase a warranty.

I've been buying Skullcandy headphones for years because they consistently have delivered me the kind of durability, longevity, and great sound I look for in my headphones. Overall, Skullcandys are great and reliable and do the job. Never have I had a pair last for less than three months minimum until now. This is the first pair in over six years that gone kaput in just over a month. I put no abnormal amounts of strain or wear on them, just went about my business as usual. It's especially frustrating for someone on a limited budget, because I don't want to be buying a new set every month. Hopefully the next set I get will last quite a bit longer. If not, that's a loyal customer gone. Most of the time, I recommend them to friends; fingers crossed I don't have to start changing my recommendation.

I love these headphones to death. The sound quality is well worth the price, they have a comfortable fit, the mic works well, the mic control is convenient, and the color choices are the best I have seen... HOWEVER, I am on my fourth pair within the last 6 months, and this is NOT okay. I can't even wind them up and put them in my pocket more than once without one side shorting out every time. The lifetime warranty is nice, but I shouldn't have to sit and wait a few months just to get a product that will only last a few months before having to send them off AGAIN. If you want these headphones, I recommend buying two or three pairs so you have at least one while you wait for the other(s) to come back to you. Also, try to avoid winding them up in any way, shape, or form.

I bought these to replace my Skullcandy Titans that i lost a while ago and they stopped making the Titans (who knows why, they were fantastic) so i was on the lookout for a new comparable go to. These dont really hold up to the titans, but they are also a lower cost. They dont have much bass, and seem to have more treble than anything. They sound okay and can get loud enough to block out whatever is going on around you. Overall they are okay for a cheap pair of headphones you can throw in your pocket and carry around without worrying too much about them.

I guess if you gonna use it for phone calls then it's fine, it looks nice, Mic works fine, etc.. But if you also wanna use it for music listening, then I wouldn't really recommend this. It has like no bass! It's a big big difference in sound from the Samsung white ear buds, even the cheap once I got here on Amazon for a couple of bucks that I'm not sure if it's real Samsung or not, have way better sound then these. And I'm shocked because the last time I bought skullcandy I was very happy with it. So not sure what the deal is with this one here

I just needed a cheap pair of earbuds for occasional use, and these fit the bill. I would have liked them to have inline volume control, but it's a minor inconvenience. The inline controls do feel a little cheap, and I've never actually been able to get it to go back a track (3 clicks in quick succession), but pause and next track both work pretty consistently. The buds themselves are comfortable, but if I'm moving around too much they do tend to fall out. The sound quality isn't anything spectacular, either, but they do sound better than I expected at this price. Overall, they're pretty good for the price. They won't wow you in the sound department, but they'll do their job and get sound into your ears.

    Replacements for my S7Edge earbuds

I bought them because my one of my S7Edge earbuds died and I looked for a cheap alternative. They've held up for a couple months without a case, but the ear pieces are a little large or a little small for my taste. At times the sound isn't perfect for a type of music, and the lack of in-line volume control when I'm on my bike is a minus, but I can't complain too much for the price. If these die and I need another pair, I probably would come back to these until I find something that fits my needs better. I'd only recommend if someone really needed a pair of earbuds with an in-line mic on a budget for a short-term use before they get a better pair.

I received these as a Christmas gift, because my pair of the exact same kind of headphones finally gave out in October of this year. I mainly used them to listen to music when mowing my yard two years ago. Within 3 months the left ear bud stopped working. I ended up taking them to work in January this year and used them to listen to voicemails and audiobooks from 5 days a week for 10 months. I’d give them a higher rating if this wasn’t my third set that I had to purchase due to one ear piece go out within a couple of months of purchase.

I wear and use earbuds every day and I leave a wreckage of broken earbuds after two months or so without fail. When I must buy a replacement set, Skullcandy do an admirable job especially for my iPod nano which has a touchscreen so the mic button is of great comfort. The problem almost always centers right at the cord's connection to the jack. Something gets loose and suddenly I only have one channel coming in. At $20 a go, it's not an unremarkable expense, but someone like me who is chained to his iPod daily, it's a necessary cost. If someone knows of a better earbud that doesn't wear out after 2 months or so of daily use, let me know. Until then, I grind on.

Please note, this is not a bad pair of earbuds. But it is VERY specialized! - The vocals, which are amplified on most earbuds, actually take a backseat with these earbuds. This earbud emphasizes the instrumental section of songs. This includes bass, treble, and instruments. Pure vocal songs will NOT sound good on these earbuds. Songs with a vivid and intense instrumental sound godly on these earbuds. Like I said, this is a very niche kind of earbud.

My friend gifted these to me, and I just got them in the mail today. As soon as I unpackaged them and tried them out, I noticed only one side was producing audio. Then I tinkered with the little pink portion that holds the wires together at the base of the separate earbud wires midway down the cord. It seems to have fixed the sound, but sometimes it'll slide back into being mono again. Another issue is I can't use the microphone on my PC, or my Samsung Galaxy Tab E supposedly. Aside from those issues, it's great sound quality, but on PCs (at least mine), even if my computer volume is muted, there's still feedback/static hissing.

I got these mainly to be back-ups and to sleep with. But the 3.5mm jack plug is too big for most iPod/iPhone/iPad cases. I had to give away because of it. They would not fit into any of the full-jacket rubber cases. If your case is a slim-fit or shell case that just covers the back, then get these. But if you have a Griffin/Otterbox or Griffin/Otterbox knockoff, or cases similar to those I just mentioned, they will not plug in. I liked the flat cable, the color, the build quality. They even sounded great. But they would not plug into my iPod. I have one of those $7 retro rubber tape cases. They were not compatible. I kept them because they were so cheap and I wanted the points.

    Great quality, but horrible durability

When I was listening to music from these, I thought that they were very good sound quality. I could get good bass and good music quality, as if I were in my car. But four days after I bought them, the headphone came apart from the base of the earbud and broke the solder, while I was taking them out of my ear. These are horrible durability. So my recommendation if you buy them, get super glue and glue them shut before you use them extensively. Because of the horrible durability, it is only three stars. It would be five if they were more durable. I have to say I'm disappointed with these, because Skullcandy is known for their good audio for a lower price.

I wanted a microphone to be able to talk with these plugged in. I also wanted the ability to press play/pause without getting my phone out (I often use an armband while I work out/run). However, I was disappointed there were not volume controls on the earphones as well (which is what I like about the Samsung earphones). I do like that different size buds come with, because I have extremely small ears I need the xs buds to fit. In terms of using these to work out, they stay put pretty well, except for when there is a lot of sweat, they fall out of my ears. Overall, they are worth what I paid for them.

Not great sound, no bass for example. I use them mostly for podcasts while on a walk or bike ride so they're good enough for that. I got these because my headphones usually have coords that get bent near the jack often enough that after a while they start to crackle and cut-out. I have to replace them in a year or so and that's why I no longer get expensive (good) ones for this use. Difficult to see the 'L' or 'R' on the inside edge of the headphone just where the coord comes out so I added a dot with a silver marker to make it easy to figure out at a glance.
