Not great quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheap built, quality of sound is terrible. Just usb c doesn't justify the buy. Skullcandy's regular audio jack earbuds excell in this aspect

Doesn’t work
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plugged into my apple computer and doesn’t work!!! Need to return and just buy the apple branded ones. Thought I could get away with saving a few bucks by buying this brand and now with going back to return, should just have bought the apple branded ones in the first place.

Not too bad and comfortable for being wired.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If the price is right, then these are not that bad. I do not know what the price is yet as of writing this. I was given these to try. I would put these down around 20$ but given the brand name maybe up to 30-35$. If they are within the price range I said, then I stick to my 4 stars. If they are more than that, I would have to give these a 2-3 star depending on the price. My biggest gripe with these is the cord length. I like to have a longer length. I mainly selected these because you need a USB-C port to plug into, so I got them for my laptop. I felt the cord was too short for me as I would sit back from time to time and it would match out the cord. I ended up plugging in a USB-C extended cord. They also do not come with any kind of case. These are also as I mentioned above USB-C. not that this is too big a deal. They mention you will need a USB-C device. But I am not sure why they went that route. Why not just go with the standard 3.5mm jack and then provide an adaptor. Just feel this would have led to more options. That said, the sound was ok. I did not feel like it was great though. I did not feel immersed in movies or games. For me, the best part was that they were comfortable. I have a hard time with wearing in ear headphones. My left ear has a deformity. So, in ears always seem to fall out. What is great about these is that they just come straight out of the ear canal. They do not go up into the upper ear. I was able to wear them with not issues. Overall if they did have a longer cord, and a case I would give them 5 stars if they were 30$ or less. If they had just a little better sound (like more bass to them) or a software that is specific for them to adjust some sounds, then I would say 45$ would be justified. But now a days with Bluetooth being popular, if you are going to be wired, I feel you really need to stick out and these just did not do that.

Great sound in a small package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What an incredible sound from such a small package! The Skull Candy JIB USB-C earbuds produce an amazing sound from such a small device and I was amazed at the amount of bass . The sound is very clear and they reproduce what sounds like something coming from a full-range speaker/headphone. They are designed with a noise-isolating fit that really makes outside noise virtually disappear. The fit is great, very snug, and yet comfortable. Just in case the they're too snug there's a smaller set of plugs included that can be easily swapped out. The simple-to-use controls are located in the right ear cord. One click to pause/play, two clicks to fast forward, and three clicks to hear the previous track. I was surprised to see that they are corded when so many similar products are wireless but with the USB-C connector, they work great with laptops and Android devices. They're IPX4 sweat and water resistant so a heavy workout shouldn't be a problem. What a great product from Skull Candy - only reason I didn't give them five stars was because they're not wireless.

Old School Wired Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Old School Wired headphones do the job with my android phone. They provide adequate sound while using but being wired is a little frustrating when trying to multitask. They do have a microphone on them allowing me to take phone calls and have a phone conversation while wearing them. They come with 2 pair of rubber ear adapters to fit to your ear. Overall they are very basic but serve their purpose if you are looking to not spend much. They are black all over and feel nice when inserted in my ear. They are lightweight and the microphone button is easy to use when using it for calls. I'm not sure I would recommend these for work use or every day but more for occasional use maybe when traveling. Skullcandy is a good brand so I anticipate they will hold up well with good care on my part. I will be carrying them with me in my purse as a spare pair of headphones and not worry about them. Overall I think the sound quality is a 7 since they are not high end and not noise canceling-allowing outside sound to be heard.

Great USB C Corded Headphones, a MUST HAVE!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A funny story. I normally always use Bluetooth headphones, but on a recent flight my AirPods were flat so I couldn't watch Netflix on my iPad. The cabin crew was handing out headphones to use in flight and not thinking, I took them to use on my iPad. Unfortunately, forgot Apple did away with the headphone jack - so I needed USB C headphones! This is where the SkullCandy JIB USB C headphones will save my life going forward. The SkullCandy JIB are corded USB C headphones, they connect happily with your iPhone or iPad (iOS prompts to ask if you're connecting headphones, but just once and only the first time). The audio quality is surprisingly good, with the earbuds themselves being small enough to fit tightly in your ear (spare tips are included). There's an inline mic with volume controls, plus you can also pause and restart your music or movie. I do wish the cord was a little thicker, but for the life saving benefit of having a pair of corded backup headphones the SkullyCandy JIB are a must have and I plan to take with me everywhere.

Simple and Functional
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got my hands on the Skullcandy Jib USB-C headphones, and they've been a pleasant surprise for their price point. Simplicity & Functionality: These earbuds are as straightforward as they come. Plug them into your USB-C port, and you're good to go—no adapters, no charging, no fuss. They're lightweight and comfortable, making them easy to wear for extended periods. Sound Quality: For budget earbuds, the sound quality is commendable. The bass is punchy without being overwhelming, and the mids and highs are clear enough for everyday listening. Whether I'm streaming music or watching videos, the audio performance is more than satisfactory. Call Quality: The built-in microphone does the job for calls in quiet environments. However, in noisier settings, it struggles a bit, and the person on the other end might have difficulty hearing me clearly. It's not a deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind if you make frequent calls on the go. Conclusion: Overall, the Skullcandy Jib USB-C headphones offer great value. They're simple, functional, and deliver decent sound quality for their price. If you're looking for an affordable pair of wired earbuds without the hassle of adapters, these are a solid choice.

Simple & Works
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summary ------------ These are great headphones for the price and sometimes when you run out of juice on your wireless headset, this is the go to headset when all the laptops and phones are getting rid of the 3.5mm, type C is the only option. Pros ------ 1. Type C connection 2. Excellent fit and Bass 3. Extremely low price 4. Call and Track control Cons ------- 1. None so far Details ---------- Love the minimalistic design and the cost factor of these headphones. These are my go-to headphones because I always forget to charge my headphones. The Bass on the device is good as well when I tried playing music. I also use these for Zoom calls and when testing for audio, I did some good amount of testing on the zoom calls and the other side could hear me pretty well. For the price, this is a great asset to have, My go-to headphones with minimalistic design and this also comes with a 1 year warranty and knowing skullcandy products which are of pretty good quality, i dont think i will ever need to use the warranty claim

Beater earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Skullcandy has been around the block. They are most commonly known as fashion headphones that make relatively affordable headphones/earphones compared to other fashion headphone companies. In regards to sound, they mainly cater towards younger people who want a bass-heavy set. If you want the best audio for money, The JIB USB-C is not it. However, if you want a pair of beater earphones that you won't mind breaking or losing, then this is more along those lines. The Skullcandy JIB USB-C does not stray too far from its predecessor. The form factor is virtually identical to the JIB wired earbuds with the only difference being that it is USB-C and not a 3.5mm plug. The unboxing experience isn't meant to be spectacular. I will note that my pair out of the box were a little dusty so I had to take a alcohol swab and wipe it down before use. Then, you are ready to plug and play. The build quality is just cheap plastic and I do have questions about it's long-term durability. Putting it in my ears, I was happy with how tight they fit and they do a fairly decent job with the passive noise blocking. However, one thing to note is that you can hear whenever the cord is touched or rubs against your shirt. It can be fairly annoying at times when you are walking and the cord is bouncing up and down. This means that it functions poorly as workout earphones. They are fine for travel and just casual use. They are fairly comfortable and I had no problem wearing them for hours on end. The sound quality is not going to be mind-blowing. It is pretty bass heavy. The details of different songs were able to be heard but not clean and crisp. All in all, the target of the Skullcandy JIB USB-C obviously are not audiophiles. If you just want something cheap for travel purposes, then this is something to consider.

Essential backup-up headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I had to summarize the Skullcandy JIB USB-C headphones in a nutshell, I would say they are an all-around solid and a rather standard option if you want to find something simple and reliable. The sound quality is good and are propelled by phone or laptop features like Dolby Atmos for Headphones They do not earn that rating because they are bad; rather, I give them 3.5simply because they are average-there is really no other way to say it. They are super comfortable in the ears; in fact, I never had to change them over for the included additional set of ear-cushions, since the originals fit me perfectly right out of the box. The packaging was very bare bones (which is fine) . You get what you have paid for, nothing more, nothing less. Wire length from ear to pocket is just right. It's long enough so that it does not feel restricting, yet short enough to prevent it from becoming tangled. There are some very simple tap controls on the mic: single tap pause & play, double tap to skip, triple tap to replay. This is pretty much standard with most Skullcandy buds so it's great to see this return. One of the main perks of having wired headphones is that you don't have to concern ypurself with battery life. In many ways, this is huge plus over wireless buds. If you like them, then it means you don't have to worry about charging them. Overall, they make for a good dependable backup pair or a pretty decent daily driver if you're not looking for that premium sound. 3.5/5

Great sound, horrible cable design.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Skullcandy Jib earbuds take me back to the days when ear buds actually came with your phone. Sound-wise, I would say these actually sound better than those classic wired earbuds you’d get in the box. These Skullcandy Jib earbuds are good for casual listening during work or just walking. Personally, where I feel like the drop the ball a bit is in the built quality. The first thing I don’t like much is the length of the USB-C cable. It is ridiculously long. There’s no way to keep it tidy, so it just looks messy unless you tuck it under your shirt. I honestly don’t get why it’s this long when most people are just going to keep their phone or music player in their pocket. A shorter, more manageable cable would’ve been way better. As for the microphone, you’re probably better off just using the built-in mic on your phone. The sound quality is what saves these earbuds They actually sound pretty decent. I work from home and so I like to listen to some music or jump on webinars from time to time. The sound almost provides a hint of noise cancellation (even though they technically don’t), which it was nice surprise. I’m giving these 4 out of 5 stars, mainly because of the sound quality. That’s the most important thing for me, and they do the job well enough. But they could easily be 5 stars if Skullcandy had just included a storage case and a better cable design. Still, if all you care about is sound, these will definitely get the job done.

Best Backup Buds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We all love bluetooth earbuds to free us from the cables and simplify our music and podcast listening on the go. However sometimes a good set of wireless buds is not price efficient for every budget in these uncertain times. Which is why, I assume, SkullCandy brought us these Jib USB-C ear buds (which utilize a USB-C connection instead of the old timey AUX port most electronics have done away with). No special app or software required, you simply plug them into your USB-C port and enjoy your music and sounds in the privacy of your own head. Small comfortable ear buds on one end with a 4 foot cord (1.5 meters, if you prefer) and a minimalist control near the Y-split. The control has two clickable ends which using the instructions you can skip, rewind, forward, and adjust volume depending which end of the control you click and how many clicks you perform. For small buds the sound is really good, there isn’t that kind of tinny “squashed” sound to the music I listened to which some ear buds have. Spoken word or podcast audio is also fine but that didn’t really surprise me. I don’t know that anything revolutionary is happening under the hood, if you know Skullcandy you know the quality of the product and these are not going to disappoint or blow your mind. However, if you need a wired set of earbuds for any reason these are going to need to be on the top of your list because of how comfortable they are and the better than average sound quality they provide while being more modern in their ability to connect to your devices newer than 5 years old (USB-C connection vs. the practically extinct AUX port).

Old School Meets New School
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! What a blast from the past! I was so excited when I saw these headphones were available. Skull Candy has stepped up their game since I last owned a pair of wired headphones. To say I've been happy with these would be an understatement. The sound quality is absolutely amazing! I love that they are not big and bulky. I love the fact that they have different sizes that you so you can adjust to fit your ear. The sound quality is impeccable and better than I remember it. The length of the wiring is great as well. I wish that phones still came with the audio Jack instead of in the charging port, but that is no fault of Skull Candy or the quality of the headphones. Skullcandy made this Plug and Play easy, making the lack of an audio jack on my phone less of an issue. If you're worried about charging while listening, there are splitters available from other companies. I think my only complaint is the fact that they do not come with a little carry bag like my old pair used to. I would highly recommend getting these for anyone that does not like to use the Bluetooth headphones.
