Almost there..
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the true black/orange version and I think they look pretty good. The matte black plastic case, which effectively resists smudges and fingerprints, has some weight and is bigger than my fist, which can affect portability. I certainly don’t plan on carrying them in my pocket while running. There are some LED status lights in the front and a USB-C port in the back, which has a rubber cover that I found cumbersome and not very useful. The lid is somewhat wobbly and tends to close when trying to take out the buds. However, the buds magnetically stay in securely and will not fall out, even when shaking the case. The buds themselves are also a bit on the large side and it takes a bit to get used to handling them. I appreciate the look, though, especially the orange action button. There is a subtle Skullcandy logo and an LED light. There is a learning curve in placing them in the ear properly. I found that often I needed to use both hands and place one at a time, and even then, there was some final fiddling. Once they’re in position, they will stay on no matter what you do. I realize that comfort depends on your ear shape, but I found the fit was a mixed bag. The ear hooks are super soft and allow decent stability with no sore spots. Unfortunately, all the included ear tips did not fit properly in my ear and caused me to mess with them repeatedly. So, I changed them for some proven tips I already had. This made it slightly better. The design of the funnel makes it so that it is jammed deep into the ear canal and can cause that plugged feeling -especially when there is no sound playing. It is a good thing that these buds are IP55, so a bit of water or heavy sweat won’t an issue. The Push Active are Bluetooth 5.2, which makes them future-proof. They connect easily and maintain a consistent connection at fair distances. I was able to walk around my medium-size apartment with minimal breakup. I noticed no lag or sync issues when watching videos or playing games. For me, the controls can be a bit annoying. The single button on each side needs a bit of force to activate and doing so while running is almost impossible and may actually mess the entire placement. It is convenient that play, skip, backtrack, volume, ambient awareness, and the voice assistant can be accessed from the buds, but again, doing so requires multiple clicking. The saving grace is the “Skull-iQ Smart Feature Technology” which is simply using “Hey Skullcandy” as a wake word to control several features. Other companies have implemented similar features, but Skullcandy is the most precise I’ve tried. Still, not everyone likes to yell at their buds -especially in crowded or quiet environments. There is no active noise cancellation (ANC), but depending on your experience with the tips, they do a decent job in passively blocking noise, especially when playing audio. The “Stay-Aware Mode” activates the mics so that you can hear what’s around you, which is convenient, especially when running or commuting in the city. The call quality is better than expected. While people still knew I was on Bluetooth, I was heard loud and clear with no breakups or hiccups. The battery life is impressive. Skullcandy claims that 10 hours for the buds plus 34 hours from the case. It’s been 5 days and I still have 25% in the case, so I believe them. The buds feature quick charging, just in case. Unfortunately, there is no Qi wireless charging compatibility. The Skullcandy app is quite robust. There, you can update the firmware/software, customize settings, change the EQ, change button functions, activate “where are my buds”, and more. But how do they sound? Out of the box, if I had to use one word, I’d say “decent”. Staying true to the Skullcandy sound signature, the bass I quite emphasized. It is punchy, with a subwoofer quality to it. At higher volume, it can get a bit distorted, though. The mids are recessed somewhat but I was still able to hear instruments and vocals. The treble is also a bit on the weaker side, making the overall audio overly warm. It’s great when listening to EDM, hip hop/rap, pop, and mainstream music. It also sounds good for action flicks and regular games. However, in heavy-element music such as classical, jazz, instrumental, and voice-oriented music, the experience was a bit lackluster, as more clarity is needed. While there is decent channel separation (stereo), the soundstage is weak and closed in. I noticed this affects first-person shooters, where clarity and directional awareness are key. Sure, you can change the sound signature through the app, but I was unable to find the ideal audio setting. In the end, there’s so much to like about the Push Active. Certainly, Skullcandy jammed a lot of features and technology for a decent price. However, what matters most to me is comfort, functionality, and of course, sound. In these aspects, I was left wanting more. Please keep in mind that this is quite subjective so your experience could vary and may be worth trying.

Good, but lack bass
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Next to fit I think for most people music is the most important element for a set of earbuds. On that front the Push Active deliver, except when it comes to bass. All genres I listened to sounded fine but none had really much if any bass. This may not be a problem for some depending on your preference of music, but for others it may. The app gives you the ability to control the EQ and gives you four options- music, podcast, movie and custom. Though it’s nice to be able to control the EQ, the sound doesn’t change much. On the hardware side the earbuds can be used independent of each other, come with USB-C for charging , Bluetooth 5.2, have an IP55 rating, up to 44 hours total of quoted battery life and the ability to find a lost earbud with the Tile app. With the addition of the latest Bluetooth I noticed no audio lag when watching videos on YouTube. The app gives you the ability to customize what the buttons do, control the Stay Aware mode and turn the voice control feature on or off. If you’re looking for bass, these aren’t for you. If you don’t mind the lack of bass or need an inexpensive pair for watching videos on YouTube these aren’t a bad option.

Great workout earbuds!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just picked up these Skullcandy Push Active earbuds and so far, I love them. These earbuds have been perfect for running on the road as well as in the woods, rain, or shine. For earbuds, they come with a lot of helpful features. I like the adaptive hearing option as you can hear your surroundings when listening to music, this makes exercising outside a whole lot safer. I was a little surprised at first when I found out the buds have an actual button on each of the buds instead of a sensor-style button. At first, I was skeptical, but the button is easy to press and is in a natural position, this button also helps reduce accidental button presses from rain, or when wiping sweat away, turns out I really enjoyed that feature. The ear hooks are nice and soft, flexible, but sturdy enough where they won’t move. The ear hooks are also a molded rubber and can’t be shaped, I thought that would be an issue, but it is not, and once they are on your ears they almost disappear and you can’t feel them even being there. I strongly recommend downloading the app with these earbuds, there are so many awesome features that come along with the app. For starters, you can program the button on the buds to do many different things, such as track forward or back, volume control, Spotify control, play, pause, join audio, and share audio. Along with button configuration, the app is where you can toggle Stay-Aware Mode, equalizer, or even Hands-Free Voice Control! This app has so many options, it even lets you connect a bud to the camera on your phone to act as a shutter button for a photo or video. Another great feature is these earbuds are Tile enabled, meaning if you were to lose them, you can open the Tile app and locate the buds with ease. The app gives so much customization and really helps these earbuds come to life the way you want them to, the app is very intuitive and easy to use. The case is a little clunky and large, but the trade-off is all that battery life, up to 44 hours! I love that the case comes with a USB type C connector cable, although is not Qi/wireless charging compatible. The look of these earbuds is great, but the purpose they serve is far greater. The buds are sweat and water-resistant with an IP55 rating. The sound quality is fantastic, and I am surprised how well they hit. I won’t recommend these earbuds to an audiophile or wanting superior sound, but for exercising and being capable of hearing your surroundings, these are fantastic. Overall, I am pleased with these earbuds, and I pack them with me wherever I go, the Gym, weekend backpacking trips, work, everywhere.

A Great Surprise
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use a lot of earbuds/headphones. I like to find the right set for the job. Sometimes I want to hang back and watch a movie with great sound, for that I might use some higher end buds/headphones that support Dolby Atmos or surround sound. The scenario I have struggled the most to find a good match for is working out. These tick all the boxes for what I was looking for in a good set of workout earbuds and then some. /Setup/ Setup is a breeze. Connect them to your device with Bluetooth and download the app that supports some configuration and updating. Once I downloaded the app, I was able to update the earbuds firmware. The app has a ton of customization available. You can configure the buttons to perform different tasks, and it also includes its own voice assistant, but I think I still prefer using Google Assistant. // Sound // Sound is good. It’s not stellar, nor the best I’ve heard, but for the price it does a great job. The app allows you to adjust the EQ so you can try to dial in the sound more to what you like. I imagine most folks looking at these earbuds are looking for a good set of earbuds to use for workouts. These will make most folks very happy; sound is good, and earbuds are secure. /// Fit /// I have used these for a couple of weeks for long runs, 13-15 miles, and some core workouts. I love that I have never had to adjust or push them back in to my ear. I never experienced any disconnects, the sound was clear. The passive noise cancellation was good enough to drown out most outside noise. They fit comfortably in my ear and the ear hooks did a great job of keeping them in place. //// Conclusion //// These earbuds are a great set to use for any kind of workout. The ear hooks are comfortable and hold the buds in place. I never had to readjust them even after hours of working out. Regardless the type of exercise these stay put. The sound is good, the app gives a great level of customization, and you get a very long battery time with the case. You can adjust the EQ and set the controls the way you’d like. These are great and then you add the Tile integration to let you find these when you lose them, Spotify Tap feature that lets you get right into your music, and the optional voice assistant, and you get a really appealing package. I recommend these to anyone looking for a solid set of workout earbuds.

Good features with decent sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Skull Candy Push Active Bluetooth true wireless earbuds have an impressive array of features. Not only that they have the best sound that I have heard from a Skull Candy set of Bluetooth earbuds or headphones. I was able to use the custom EQ app on my phone to get the volume and sound curve set how I wanted it. However, I could have used a bigger set of earbuds to get a better seal. They only give you 3 choices which is a couple less than another brand I just got recently. Despite that issue they did sound very clear with any type of media and in phone calls. I was particularly impressed by the call clarity using my S10+ phone with them. Another small feature that I appreciate is that you can push either earbud one time to answer a phone call. Pressing the right earbud twice to turn up the volume and the left twice to turn it down is also more effective and simple than other controls I have seen on my other Bluetooth headsets. Then if you have the patience and are motivated enough to sim[lify things more there are built-in voice controls for just about everything except the Equalizer. With the standout voice control feature being a simple Accept to answer a call and Reject to not answer a call. While these Skull Candy Push Active Bluetooth earbuds are not the best I have in regards to sound they are good. They have clarity but not to much low end. That may have improved if they would have included large enough earbuds to seal my ear canals off not sure. I like the common sense features easy to operate physical buttons and the voice call clarity the most and while the sound is respectable listening to music the low end after adjusting the custom EQ they only gained enough volume by adjusting the EQ in the app as well for me. These have piqued my interest in Skull Candy products for sure but I have another headset in this price range that sounds better.

Good sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up the Skullcandy Push active wireless earbuds recently for working out. I was looking for a set of earbuds that would fit well and stay in place while I was active. These do stay in place and are comfortable to wear as well. They create a good seal and do isolate you from outside noise. Phone use is easy once paired with your phone and they are good for calls and streaming music. They come with a great charging case that recharges after each use. Skullcandy also provides you with an app for you Apple or Android device. It provides you with an eq to customize the sound. You have tap controls on the earbuds to control them which is customizable with the app. The only weak area is the bass, there isn't as much as I would expect. The sound overall is good and could be great with a little more bottom end. I would recommend these for workout enthusiasts.

Not perfect but too good for it's price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very light. Sometimes I move around with just one in my ear and after a while I'll forget it's there. Very comfortable. I work out with them so being a little water resistant is a plus. Very long battery life. Only downside is every now and then they'll click as if there's a small blip in the connection between the pods and your phone.

A solid choice for more secure earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Skullcandy - Push Active True Wireless Sport Earbuds are a solid choice for earbuds if you are looking for something sure to stay on/in your ear. They feature a behind-the-ear loop that secures the earbud in place. Overall, the sound quality is decent - a bit lacking in bass, even when maxing the bass setting out in the app. I am used to Pro-level earbuds with noise cancellation so these took a little while to get used to. They are GREAT for using when running or doing other sports/activities. They really stay snug and in your ear. The voice command feature, available in the app, didn't impress me a lot ... mostly because I stream most of my music from an app that the voice commands were not compatible with. I can definitely see the value in the feature, though, if you use Spotify! The app (which iPhone prompts you to download upon first pairing) is very easy to navigate and very easy to make adjustments with. Overall, I'd say these are a great choice for active people, folks who are afraid of their earbuds falling out of their ears - and even for kids! I can see these earbuds being a great choice for kids who might be more prone to losing earbuds!

Great Fit and Light on Ear
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gave it week of use before reviewing. I originally wanted wanted to give it 4 Stars with the cons being sound not great, button hard to press. All day wear and long battery life, at under $100 price, I'm really happy with my purchase.. I bought these mainly for marathon running. My Powerbeats Pro's batterys are degraded so I needed something new and I love my purchase. I'm choosing to use these over my Powerbeats Pros. Things I like -The fit is better. No ear fatigue from all day wear, I don't find myself adjusting them long runs and bike rides. Ear hook is smaller and flexible, making it easier to wear with sunglasses and or mask. Lighter in weight than Powerbeats. -Stay Aware mode works well and easy to turn on if customized to button. -Battery life is great on headphones and case. -Case is about the size of a deck of cards, fits well in pocket if needed. -Customized buttons -Connects to more than 1 device. Things I don't like -I have to use three fingers to press button. Index and middle finger on top and my thumb to press, though it feels like it's designed to be pressed like that. Not the biggest issue and comes second nature now. On the bright side I can lay on the headphones if I wanted. -Sound is underwhelming. I stopped caring after a while. Fit and battery life was most important to me while being active and not having to worry about battery life. Things I don't use -"Hey Skullcandy." Works fine, but I just hit the button. requires the app to be active too, which my phone keeps telling me so I turned it off. I have a button programmed for Siri. Also it occasionally responds to me when I say "Hey Google." -The App. It's nice it's there for custom ability and instructions. After I set everything to my liking, I don't open it.

Great Active Bluetooth option
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really great however the connection has a tendency to drop out from time to time even from very close range. Best headphones for a budget.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3 years old and still in my pocket. Prefer for 10hour shift at work, Both Headphones are Parents, so work completely independently of each other. Loud enough to block out the engine of a 747, high enough quality to wear and sleep throughout a 17hr flight. They also support duel channel Bluetooth. So i can use my ANC Crushers with them connected to a single device. I prefure them to my Beats, JBL, aftershocks, bose Samsung Bud2 pro. Only pair ive found i like better are the Sony Mx4 or Link Budds. But thats strickly due to a lack of Bass and Ambient sound.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Skullcandy in earbuds ever. I’m constantly moving at work and they never fall out. They also have a really long battery life. Not only that but my work environment is very noisy and as soon as I put them on it blocks the noise out. The app is also great, it helps customize the sound, if you want background noise(how loud) and a personal nois option that you tune your self. Over all an amazing product 10/10 recommend.

Comfortable, sturdy, and more reasonably priced
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good headphones and the sound quality is excellent. These are much less expensive than other big brands but I feel the quality is just as good. Sometimes they don’t connect to Bluetooth right away but honestly this has only happened a handful of times and they’re easy to reconnect so it doesn’t really bother me. I use them outside while gardening and doing a lot of active work and they stay on really well which is the biggest reason I wanted a pair of over the ear earbuds. They’re comfortable and come with multiple bud sizes so you can find the most comfortable size for your ears.
