these are more annoying than corded headphones

Worst Skull Candy's to date. Imagine everything you hate about corded headphones plus some. These have all of the annoyances of the cords being in the way of everything and the cords are awkward and just not ergonomical. There is an added bonus of having to charge it all the time. Possibly the most annoying aspect is that these will beep at you like every 5 mins for like the last 45mins of the battery life. A fully charged battery can stream music for 7.5 hrs to 7hrs 45 mins. 8hrs is unheard of, I wear these for an 8 hour shift at work and the last hour is annoying af with this thing beeping til it turns off. also bear in mind, I liked my last skull candys way better til both the earbuds stopped working. My biggest question to skull candy, would be: why would you design headphones where the cords stick out in front of your face? Overall I would describe these headphones as SUPER ANNOYING.

I bought these to wear at work.I work outside and I had a pair of the Skullcandy inkd Bluetooth. my wife and I both really enjoyed the sound, the battery life and comfortability so I decided to think I was getting an upgrade with these.I was so wrong I wore them for one day and my ears hurt so bad at the end of the day plus they kept falling out . Their more expensive than the Inkd they have way too much bass .I ended up returning them that day getting a gift card and buying a little more expensive earbuds the ones I have now are the Jaybird X3's and they are the best earbuds you can buy and jaybird has their own app.that you can adjust any music, entertainment,ECT. to your liking I would not recommend the Smokin Buds to anybody spend a little more money and get the jaybirds I guarantee you will not be disappointed and definitely get your money's worth DON'T BUY THESE OVER PRICED EARBUDS.TRUST ME !!!!!!

This is the sixth pair I've had in as many months. They just decided while listening that they dont want to be connected to bluetooth anymore. Now I cant pair them to anything. Skullcandy bluetooth is the worst I've ever experienced. I've tried the "inked" and "smokin buds" neither one was worth having. They dont stay put very well and are rather uncomfortable. The deal breaker is the functionality though. If it's not terrible bluetooth, they just stop working all together, or just wont pair to anything.

I purchased two of this as a gift to be use with an IPhone and a IPad,. One of them will pair for about 5 minutes at the time then will disconnect for no reason full battery charge. Then the device have to be re-pair all over again by "forgetting" the device and re-pair as a new device over and over again. For the short time they can be used the sound quality is average compared to those of my Bose and the battery life is average for the huge size, the hard rubber controls are difficult to use. I totally regret this purchase and will never try another Skullcandy product again. Save a little bit more money and buy a reputable brand. This product sucks.

I really wanted to love these headphones. The fit was great and the sound was awesome, however, after 30 minutes in the gym, I can't use them anymore. I guess these weren't really built for sweat. The module that controls volume and power got messed up from just a bit of sweat. The volume turned itself all the way up and I can no longer turn the power off. Seems like this should be something that's accounted for in these newer headsets now but isn't. Sad to say I'll have to try something else.

    Very Poor Bluetooth Connection

I really wanted to like these. I have dozens of wired Skullcandy earbuds. These sound very good with strong bass. I like the look and they fit ok. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth connection is VERY UNSTABLE. The music skips if I move the phone or neckband even a little bit. Even when my phone is only 1-2 feet from the neckband I can completely kill the connection by just touching the phone or putting my palm over the neckband. This happens with multiple devices (both Apple and Android). Skullcandy Tech. Support was unable to resolve this problem. Many buyers are complaining about this so it is definitely a design issue...

I bought these because I wanted to get rid of the wires! Unit would not hold a charge, took them back to Best Buy for a replacement and a price match. (Walmart) was cheaper. took the new set home, charged it. The unit would not pair to my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy. I was very busy this month and failed to return item back to Bust Buy within the allotted time frame (missed it buy 2 weeks). They could not get the item to pair to my phone either. Even though the unit had never been used, they would not replace nor exchange and told me to call SkullCandy.

I bought these figuring I would be happy with skullcandy wireless since I had the wired ones in the past and they were pretty decent. However, after charging them I started using them to stream Pandora and Slaker. There was some static while waiting for a song to change, the sound overall wasn't that great during the songs either. The 9mm drivers seem to be underwhelming. The unit stopped working after 2 hours, I charged a little more and decided to see if that was enough to finish our the day at work. The right earbud completely stopped working. Very dissatisfied, will be returning them after work.

First...I love Skull candy earbuds, but these bluetooth version sucks. I bought these to pair with an Ipod nano for music only. While it pairs and sounds decent, the battery is located in the middle of the wire between the earbuds . I read that the collar ( which hides the large battery and charging port) is removable but didn't know the battery and charging port stays when you remove the collar. for me, in the gym, working out , all I did was constantly adjust the battery/wire which would hang down my back, so laying on a bench was an issue. Already ordered a different brand !!

    Poor Performance

I bought these initially because i needed a pair of wireless earbuds for the gym. The first pair I bought stopped powering on after about two weeks. I returned those and got a second pair because I figured it must have been a defect. The second pair I bought was doing good until the third week when they, too, stopped powering on. When they were operational the bluetooth range was very poor. If you were more than 10 feet away from your phone or if it was in your pocket the signal would constantly get choppy. I'm very disappointed in this product.

My brother and I got these last Black Friday. They were bluetooth headphones sold at an affordable price. Sound was decent and I was satisfied with them. After using for a little over two months, they stopped working. I wore them at the gym and battery would drain after 10-15 minutes. I fully charged them again and this time around the headphones would not even turn on. Only way I have been able to turn them on is if I have them connected to the charger. Not good. On the other hand, my brother's pair works just fine.

I am about to go back to BestBuy for the 3rd time for these. The first two pairs suffered the same fate.. worked great for a while but then the controls went dead and they won't power on or off. The second time it happened while they were in use... couldn't turn them off, plugged them in to recharge, they seemingly took the charge fine (red light becomes blue) and then they wouldn't power back on. I really, really wanted to like these for all the reasons that I should.. good sound, convenience, great price point.. but alas, they are disappointing...

They had good sound and fit but they broke after a week (they wouldn't charge or turn on anymore). I bought them after having bought Skullcandy Method wireless that unfortunately only lasted 1 day. This model was supposed to be more robust. I've had many versions of JLab bluetooth headsets and they've lasted about 6 months (still not long enough for what you pay). The search continues for a reasonably priced bluetooth headset that sounds halfway decent and lasts.

I do not like these. I have owned other skull candy products and not had issues but these are bad. The Bluetooth connection works as long as you don’t put your player in your pocket. Connected to iPhone and get nothing but static connection unless I am holding my phone in my hand (no handsfree I guess) I purchased because it was priced slightly less then the others, next time I will just spend the extra money

They're great earbuds. For the time they lasted. They went about maybe a week before the light stopped showing when it was plugged in and the battery wouldn't charge when it was plugged in. Tested with several different cords and outlets, different usb ports, nothing. Time to use it for the last 5 minutes I have with them.

I got these on Black Friday and loved them initially. Never had any problems until now. Now, they won’t hold a charge at all. I’ll charge them up and then go to use them and they’re at 30% again, which is when they beep at you constantly telling you they’re dead so you pretty much can’t use them. After an experience like this with skull candy I don’t think I’ll be using their products again. Off to buy a different pair now.

I bought these to wear while primarily working out. My wife has a pair and she loves them, so I thought I'd give them a try. They worked okay at first, a few problems connecting to the ipod via bluetooth, but nothing too awful. After about the third or fourth time I worked out with them in, they started randomly changing the volume, then skipping back and forth on the playlist and then finally shut themselves off and died for good.

I bought one pair. They worked for about two months and then stopped working. I sent them back to Skullcandy for a replacement pair. The replacement pair worked for one month and then stopped working. Got a third replacement pair from Skullcandy which worked for one month and then stopped. After the third pair I gave up and bought Dr. Dre Powerbeats2 which are much better earbuds. I will not buy the Skullcandy wireless earbuds again.

I bought these as a gift for my dad and the name fits these earbuds perfectly because they literally started smoking after being charged for about 10 mins. Not sure if they were defective or if the usb power brick was too much power for them, but took these back and got the skullcandy method wireless instead

I rate this 1 star these only lasted me 2 weeks the power button stopped working in one week it started giving me problems with the volume. The volume didn't turn down then it wouldnt turn on no more . The issue was my sweat I used them mostly for working out . I guess my sweat leaked in the speaker . It stopped completely. Wish I would have gotten insurance on them . I'd recommend these if you don't sweat lol . DONT BUY THESE
