Biggest issue overall is it doesn't get loud enough, works great for watching video but for music would like a higher noise volume. The noise cancelling works ok, about what you would expect for the price. Bass could also use a boost. Battery life is great, bluetooth connects fast but doesn't have a huge range, will disconnect if you leave whatever device its connected to and then walk far enough away in your home. The included tile feature is great in case you misplace or headphones get stolen.

I would have given them a 5 except, no matter what I try, there is a constant white noise that only goes away when the music is playing. What I am trying to say is, there is never no noise. Everything else is great. It holds a charge for a long time the aux cord works well the case is attractive and these are comfortable. I usually get headaches from headphones but these don't give me them.

I'm not used to associating Skull Candy as a higher quality/priced brand so I didn't know what to expect when I got this. What I got was surprisingly good sound, decent noise canceling, and the unexpectedly perk of Tile. These aren't necessarily the top of the line or even the best in my collection but they definitely are better than average. Battery life so far is excellent. These are definitely ones I would grab for the long flights or road trips I take.

Had to jump in on the headphones for over $100 group eventually and after about a month of use am pleased with my purchase. I would never have spent money on headphones like they are now a days but I was sick of my music sounding flat. Ear buds are nice but had to do the over the ear route for a heavy in bass quality. Not to mention the ability to use a cord so I can lay back and listen to albums was a must. I love these for travelling as airplane noise at times makes it almost impossible to enjoy a movie or music. I purchased these for 150 and the battery life and feel are great as well.

My needs: Noise -cancelling, lightweight, wireless and Assistant integration. In the list of noise cancelling headphones, these are second only the $349 Sony - WH-1000XM3 for filtering out background noise while providing excellent sound. The built-in voice assistant and dual pairing allows use of Alexa / Google Assistant / Cortana while simultaneously paired to my phone and my Desktop. Battery life is really nice. I have run into only one real issue: After using them for long periods of time, the bluetooth connection sometimes goes'dark' where it seems to be connected but in some sort of sleep mode which cost this review 1 star. If you're a Skull Candy fan and just need serious noise and bass without the noise cancelling, then I would spend the extra for the Crusher 360 or save some dollars and go with the Hesh 3 if you don't need the noise cancelling.

First off, the battery life is amazing. These headphones can last for up to 24 hours. That means you may not need a charge on a business trip, even if it is two weeks. These headphones sound AMAZING, with very rich highs and lows. The noise cancelling also works incredibly well, shedding unwanted outside noises. Don't use these for jogging with the noise cancelling on, as you won't know what is going on around you - use monitor mode instead, as it allows you to better hear what is around you. Having access to your digital assistant on your phone by just double-tapping the button is great as well, as I can get information, or just change playlists, without taking out my phone. I can also ask the time, call people, and get answers to questions without missing a beat.

I did not receive the white ones as requested, but rather the black. That is ok. Black does not usually show wear and tear as much. I used them a few times to play on my ipad when my husband was watching TV. I have not had the chance to wear them on a plane which is really why I wanted them. The noise on planes is so overwhelming, so you really need them to listen to music. It was really easy to Bluetooth connect them to any device and charging is a breeze, and it has a convenient carrying case. All in all, pretty good. Do not know about durability since I tend not to throw things around, but take good care of them.

These Wireless, noise cancelling headphones work pretty well. They connect easily to my iPad and laptop. I'm no audiophile but they sound good to me. The noise cancelling is quite good. It doesn't completely eliminate outside sound, but dampens it really well. For example, the washer and dryer or running faucet are reduced to quiet whispers. They would be really useful for noisy plane, train, bus, or car rides or noisy office environments. I like that with the wireless connection, I can walk around my house doing chores without having to carry my iPad with me while listening to music or podcasts. The battery lasts a long time and charges very fast with the included usb cable. They also come with a 3.5mm cable to connect to non-Bluetooth devices and a nice zippered semi-hard and padded case to carry everything. My one complaint is that they are not that comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They have an adjustable, padded headband and padded earphones, but listening to a long album or long podcast, like an hour, they start to get uncomfortable (but your milage may vary).

Nice clean, solid bass (very solid). Crisp highs. Very light weight, nice comfortable over the ear fit. The on headset controls are easy to remember and use (they also are well marked visually). The battery life is great, allowing for multi-day use on one charge (they also have a quick charge capability where 10 Min charge = 3 Hours of Play). Use the 4 LED fuel gauge by pressing the power button (even if they are off) and you will see your battery level on the LEDs. 100% = 4 white lights, 75% = 3 white lights, 50% = 2 white lights, 25% = 1 white light, <5% = 1 red light. If you desire, you can also use tethered, so you never have to skip a beat. You can pair up to 2 devices at the same time, but only one device can stream at a time. The ANC (active noise cancelling) is adjustable and quite capable. The Bluetooth range extended to around 100 feet for me (no obstructions). This is a great addition to their well-received line of audio products. In short, they offer a great listening experience in an attractive headset.

Great sound- mid range headset for a descent price

These are new to the market and have all the features you find on competitive headphones but at a descent price. Pros: These are light and comfortable to wear. The quick charge (10 mins) gives you about 5 hrs of usage. Pretty good bass and comparable to the ones I have, but this is at the lower end on the price range to the ones I have. So they are not apples to apples comparison on the features. The sound quality for low and high volume is crisp and clear, doesn't get muffled at high volume. Long lasting battery, lasted about 2 weeks with 3 hours of use per day. Noise cancellation feature is good and I used it on the plane and found it on comparable with the ones I currently have (prices in $200-400 range). It has a button to turn on/off the noise cancellation feature, I found it more effective when using with music but without music I can still hear some background/faint noise. I like the active assistant feature: With the touch of a button, you can use activate the device's voice assistant, Siri, Google Assistant, etc. Compatible with apple and Samsung devices that has blue tooth capability. Haven't tested the "Lost/Found" functionality, believe it has the built in tile technology so you ca track your headphones if you lose them. Cons: I wish they were foldable and didn't see any app to control features on the headset. I can't comment on the durability yet, as I have just had it for 2 weeks now.

I received these headphones and right out of the box these Venues exude higher end. They are housed in a hard shell case with the Skullcandy logo on them. Inside the case is a molded area to protect the headphones when not in use. Included with the Venues is a charging wire, instructions and a mini jack wire to use with a non-IPhone or other legacy devices. The headphones have a hard outer shell on the outside of each ear pad and soft leather ear cushions. What I immediately noticed when I put them on was the secure and comfortable fit. Each ear pad completely covers each ear creating a nearly sound proof seal. The controls include a power button, volume + \ - buttons, battery lights to show the amount of charge on the Venue and a Noise cancelling button. The setup is very simple once you turn the Venues on, you push the Bluetooth search button and connect it to your phone, computer or other Bluetooth device and your set. Listening to music, the sound is full and clean, providing good detail. With movies through my laptop gave me an enveloping surround sound experience that put me in the middle of the action. Phone calls are clear and the mic works well. Without the use of the Automatic Noise Cancelling button the Venues do a good job blocking outside noise. When the ANC is used the level of outside noise is greatly reduced. I really enjoy the Venues for all aspect of listening, music, movies and phone calls and would recommend them.

    Great Noise Cancelling Headset

My review is on the Venue Skullcandy Wireless noise cancelling headset in Black. There are plenty of noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones out there, but very few actually deliver. This is a very solid headphone that offers very good above average noise cancellation. Immediately after opening the box you are introduced to a very solid oval shaped case, Inside you will find the Venue headphone, usb charger and aux cable to make them a wired headset. I was very impressed at how secure they were inside, and when I popped them over my ears, they were very snug and didn't hurt my ears. They are matte black plastic build with a very comfortable headband, the ear pieces are heavily padded and rest well on my ears. The all-black design gives you a very minimalist look that can pass off like the higher-end brands out there. My concerns about the design are that both ear cups swivel around pretty loosely and I'm afraid they would snap off. The left ear contains the Power button and ANC button, the LED status lights. The right ear contains volume rocker, multifunction button for playback/call management/voice assistance. The voice mic is also located on the right ear and does work when wired and wireless enabled. I was impressed with the battery life: Skullcandy estimates close to 24 hours before requiring recharge, or 40 hours with the audio cable using the ANC. I haven't clocked mine yet, but I'm on my third day of using them with battery life almost at half. So, how well does the ANC do? In regular ANC mode, the Venue does an incredible job in actually performing noise cancellation. I can barely hear the noise around me when the ANC is turned on. I can enjoy my movies and music without worrying now of the environment when outside or if I'm at home and not worry about hearing the fridge making hourly sounds. The Bass sounds are amazing where you get really bass depth here. When watching movies, I get nice sound when watching videos and tv shows as well as the background music sounded really crisp. Overall, the Venue has great bass sounds. I was impressed with the ANC as the ambient noises around me were eliminated. Just be careful when handling then because the ear cups do swivel more than what I would want.

Superb ANC headphones in its class

The Skullcandy Venue headphones has been around for three months and there are already reviews in YouTube and other tech sites. That said, I'd like to give my take on initial reviews as they seem contrary to what I've observed in my own headset. First is that there are complaints that the headband of the Venue is creaky. Fortunately, mine doesn't creak when I unflex it. So perhaps, Skullcandy has remedied this flaw in later batches. Likewise, there are also complaints that there is a hiss when ANC is on. My unit doesn't have a hiss but still does have that void feeling whenever you wear ANC headphones. @@@@@@@@ I've an older wired Sony pair and it does hiss. @@@@@@@ Also, there are complaints that there is a degradation of music when ANC is on. There is no discernable degradation in my unit. That said, I'd continue with my review of this model. Overall, the build quality of this headset is pretty decent but I'dn't say premium. For its price range one would expect it to be at this level. As for functionality, ANC quality is up to the level of the Bose CQ series and the Sony XM series. This is quite impressive for a first trey in the ANC spectrum by Skullcandy. When playing music the mids are fair and the highs are a little bit on the upper side. My opinion of the bass level is not as high as some reviewers would point out. But if your preference is for hip-hop and other bass heavy music, then you may find the bass levels to be wanting. If you are into classical music or into bebop jazz, the ANC is a boon to one's ears. I've played Vivaldi's Four Seasons and the ANC definitely helped a lot as there are a lot of quiet moments in this classical piece. Unfortunately, the crispness is not par with higher priced headphones. But I'd still say it's still good. As for the battery life at 24 hours, this is very much impressive as I've been using this for several hours a day and battery life is still strong. I'ven't tested the headphones on wired mode which is rated at 40 hours. But 24 hours is already great for me. It is already a great idea that Skullcandy decided to use male-to-male jacks for wired input and not proprietary ones as these are easily replaceable. Another great feature of the Venue is the built-in Tile feature. Only Skullcandy and Bose have this feature and it can come in handy. I've tried the Tile app and the integration of Tile features is seamless. Having Tiles on my car keys and wallet, I am already keeping this feature on even though I don't expect it use this feature much given the size of the headphones. But who knows? Bluetooth range is great but I've a couple of times experienced the headphones not connecting with my iPhone XR but I suspect it may have been user error. Overall, this is a great pair of ANC headphones. And though it's below the Bose QC and Sony XM series, this is one of the better ANC headphones out there given that this sells for roughly half the price and also being the first ANC headphones by Skullcandy.

Balanced sound but could be more comfortable

I was really excited to receive these noise cancelling headphones! I was familiar with Skullcandy so expected great things. Overall I was not disappointed. The good: Packaging - the package is well put together (see pictures)! You will open the box and find a nice case. Open the case and you will find the headphones, AUX cord, manual and USB cord. The case is very solid and will protect these babies well! Set up - the Venue came charged to 60% so they were ready to go. I easily paired them to my Android 8 phone to test them out. They worked fine out of the box. So I then put them on the charger. They charged to 100% in no time. After an hour of use they are still registering a 100% charge! Sound - I find the sound nicely balanced. I find them a little on the bass side. Not thumping. The bass is crisp. There is no way to adjust the sound via EQ. I tried music, video and phone calling. You can also connect via an AUX cord. I tried the AUX cord and the sound was excellent! Noise cancelling - The noise cancelling works well as you would expect. You can turn it on or off. I did notice a difference between it on or off. Phone calls - the sound was crystal clear. The microphone works well. There were no issues receiving and carrying on a conversation. The caller could hear me perfectly. I can hear the caller perfectly. One tap of the right button and the call is answered. Pairing - pairing was quick with an Android 8 phone, Android tablet and Windows 10 laptop. I tested the distance it would lose the connection and it was similar to other devices I have. Control - there are many options for controlling the headphones and the device(s) connected to it. The capabilities are different if you are connected via Bluetooth or AUX cord. You can control using Bluetooth: power, pairing, volume, play/pause, track forward/back, answer/end phone calls, activate voice assistant, active noise cancelling on/off, check battery, monitor mode on/off (silences the sound so you can hear other sounds) and pair the Tile. Tile integration - you spent some cash on these. Having Tile built in is an excellent add-on. I downloaded the Tile app and followed the instructions. It was very simple. I then tested the app and it worked great. One less reason to lose these. Things that could be better: Comfort - I was concerned when I first put them on. These were tight at first. I found the more you spread the band apart, the tighter the headphones are and the more they press on your ears. Initially I had the band too far apart and it was uncomfortable after 15 minutes. I then closed the headband as tight as it goes and these are WAY more comfortable! The ear cushions are thick and very soft. These could be more comfortable. I think these will get more comfortable but do not know for sure right now. No APP - not a big deal but there seems to be an APP for near everything these days. I would be interested in an EQ to fine tune the sound. Conclusion: I really like the sound and versatility. The Tile integration is an added value. The only thing preventing me from rating these 5 stars is the comfort. Initially I was concerned. The more I wear them the better it is getting. However, overall they are tight so far. But I guess noise cancelling headphones need to be tight.
