This was the perfect fit for an apartment dwelling

Interesting idea and a cool concept. Didn't work for me but can work for you!

Did not use this item. It was more trouble that it was worth and although intended to save space behind the washing machine and dryer, it did just the opposite. We simply used the conventional aluminum 4" dryer hose

Had this installed and got a really significant boost in my dryer's efficiency. The original could tube had bends, ridges, and kinks which greatly reduced air flow. My wife says that every load drys faster and more completely - all because we upgraded to the periscope vent tube. Very very happy.

I was told this would save space behind the dryer because it skinnier since our laundry room had limited depth for what i wanted. It turns out this is for stacking washer dryer per installing guy. I had to return it.

I have always used the snake hose before but could never seem to keep it properly connected because the laundry room was so shallow and narrow (I couldn't get a consistent seal when moving the dryer around so lint would eventually blow out into the laundry room). I saw this and took a chance - glad I did! Thanks.

Installers could not figure out how to make it fit. I showed them how to turn it correctly to fit. Then it needed to be cut to size and they could not do it. Such a simple fix. They left with a standard vent hooked up. Not happy. I will attach the periscope vent myself. Reviewing the product would be a higher rating.

Local best buy store was only local retailer that carried the size I needed.

Installed a new Samsung dryer and had to upgrade my vent cover to accommodate the exhaust. This worked perfectly. Great upgrade from the older expandable hose. Thanks Tom for your expertise!

Was incapable of stretching the distance that I needed it to. Was recommended by the best buy person, so I bought it, now it's just sitting in my garage. The installers just put the usual hose instead for free.

I already had a similar piece with my old washer and dryer, so I didn't need to use this one. I gave it a 3 star rating, because I didn't need it. It's a useful accessory, but I cannot honestly say what it does or how it works.

This is a nice product for ventilation and does the job well.

I am not really sure why they would ask for a review on a dryer vent but wanted to enter the drawing.

I really wanted this to work....but it did not. Install was easy but when testing I could feel the air leaking. I sealed the ends square ends with metal duct tape but the circular part also leaks air and it set of my gas dedector. Too much of risk for me and my family.

The rating does not reflect the functionality of the vent - it's overpriced, but it works. The vent is cheaply made, very thin, and far from air tight. Be sure to measure carefully, you may have to cut excess in order to fit depending on your dryer location, so a pair of tin snips is highly recommended. You will likely be working in tight quarters to get the vent mounted properly. Also, I used some spare a/c ducting tape (thin metal) to seal where I could. The dryer end diameter fit was fine, the wall side, not so much. Had to crimp this end a bit to get it started, and it needed more persuasion than this cheap construction could really handle, but it held together and did the job. I got down to just a hair under 4" from the wall. The rating reflects having received a clear return item (both ring clamps were missing... the box was mangled) when the item was sold to me as new. Because it was bagged for curbside, I did not discover until returning home. The only option provided by customer service was to return the item per customer service - costing me time/expense for an item that should never have been packaged as new and rather sold discounted on a returns/display table in the store.

No complaints here. Just be sure that it matches your dryer.

This was actually too long for our laundry room and they installed incorrectly anyway. They should have told us The item was not really the problem

Sadly, this wouldn’t work with our new dryer. We weren’t able to adjust the heights enough with our pedestal.
