My dryer vent comes through the wall right at the floor. When you adjust this vent to less than 18". You must cut off the excess metal to allow the outlet to be closer to the floor. Also had to tape the inside where the diffuser directs the vented air to the outlet because of a large gap that would have allowed air to leak out the bottom.

My home is older (18 years) and because of the placement of the gas lines and outside dryer vent, this design did not fit for my gas dryer to hook up to the vent. It is meant for the dryer to be closer to a wall. It was too narrow and could not expand for more depth. It was also too long for the distance from the vent on the dryer and the outside vent.

if you have a vent that goes through the roof of your laundry area, this will not work for you as it's not long enough. I had to revert back to my old hose.

I purchased a Whirlpool Electric Dryer, and the sales people at Best Buy told me that if I did not purchase a "new" dryer vent, and power cord, the delivery folks would not install the dryer. We have minimal space behind the dryer, so my husband had recently purchased, and installed a specially sized dryer vent. I explained all this to the sales folks, but they insisted, so I bought it. Well, when the delivery folks took a look at the existing dryer vent, and compared it to the one I was forced to buy, they told me that the new vent would not fit, and had absolutely no problem usind the dryer vent we already had. I ended up returning the one I was forced to buy. This experience was irritating to say the least.

Work as expected, had some delivery issues. Other than that no problem

I ordered the duct at the recommendation of the sales associate. Long story short it didn't fit and the so called installers left my house with the dryer unattached and not working. Don't bother calling BB for support either. I ended up having to buy the right parts and installing it myself. Customer service is a joke with BB

It is great in some situations, but in others is just won't work. If you aren't sure if this will work for you, I would recommend using a traditional vent hookup.

When we purchased our new dryer, the salesman said we had to have this installed in order for the warranty to work. So of course we purchased it. Needless to say, it didn't work. It didn't fit the back of the dryer we purchased, therefore the salesman made a worthless suggestion. The installation/delivery specialist ended up having to use a long bulky hose that makes the dryer stick several inches away from the wall.

For some reason, this item was cancelled even though the Dryer was B/O to November 1!

This device was the incorrect size for my laundry closet. I had to return it for a refund. Luckily, the store is nearby and the return was quick and easy.
