    Excellent choice for the price and was needed to connect our cooktop. Makes me feel safer with the newer connection installed and the old one removed. The old one was circa 1999 and I'm sure that there are improvements that were made with this connector to make it safer in your home. Did a lot of price shopping before purchasing and Best Buy had better pricing and was very pleased with price match offer on all the appliances that were purchased.

    My purchase of the stainless steel gas range connector was necessary for the installation of my Samsung gas stove. When the stove arrived and the technician started his installation everything went really well and quickly, so I'm sure the stainless steel gas range connector which was purchased at the time I purchased the gas stove was the proper connector and enabled the installer to do the installation properly and quickly.

    Unless you have purchases a stove/oven in the past 5 years, I believe it is a good idea to get a new hose to connect your gas line to the unit, simply because of age, these hoses can decay over time. This particular hose was easy for my husband to connect. Since his job is in welding supply sales, he is very familiar with gas line hoses, and he says this one is highly durable and should stand up well over time.

    This product is ideal for someone who worries about gas leaks, although a little pricey its very much worth the price. Comes with everything you need for an instal and very specific instructions with pictures of each component. The mass flow shut off may be the best part basically if you line breaks or the appliance does and starts leaking gas faster than normal operation it closes the line automatically.
