The Y connector included is metal, as opposed to the plastic Y connector that came with my steam dryer. Don’t overtighten (tighten as recommended in the instructions) and you’ll enjoy leak-free operation. No leaks for me on the first time around—which is great. Better than trying to recycle old hoses if only for the peace of mind.
