    I was not sure we needed this when we bought the fridge but it was recommended. The installer did need it, he cut back our existing copper line and attached the flexible hose. Much easier when pulling out the fridge from the wall.

    I had used this same waterline two years ago for a LG freeze which broke down. When replacing it with new freeze, installer found this waterline in same great condition. So I decided to not replace it.

    I originally thought this was overkill compared to an existing plastic tubing solution already present, but the security of knowing it won't kink, crush, or dry out and crack gives piece of mind.

    I’m sure this is a great product that’s why I gave it 5 stars. But we didn’t use it when the fridge was delivered and kept it for a backup if ever needed.

    This item replaced my old line when I purchased a new whirlpool refrigerator. Since the new whirlpool refrigerator is exactly the same as my old Maytag, I’m not sure I needed to purchase it but, it was ordered automatically.
