    We had a plastic hose before and it kept getting pinched by the refrigerator when we pushed it back into its place. With this hose, it is flexible and strong so it won't pinch.

    The tubing seems to be very well made to stand the water pressure feeding into the fridge. I don't feel that I will worry about it breaking unexpectedly and it will last a long time.

    We bought a news Samsung refridgerator and new hose was required for installation. It cost an additional $30.00 dollars for the hose which was worth it since it is good quality. Very pleased with the installation.
