    When we got our new fridge, we were happy a steel hose was suggested. The last fridge we had with an ice maker had a copper coil, which was less secure. Better to spend a little extra and know you are allowing for less opportunity for failure.

    I think you have to buy this regardless you want to spend the money or not. Might as well start completely new and fresh to avoid any fridge problems in the future!
